I saw this restaurant on Triple D and had to stop by to see what all the hype was. It's a very small shop, but so very crowded for the rush. I would recommend ordering ahead of time! We luckily waited and got a seat inside (very limited seating - 3 tables). We got the Tony Piccante and That Louie. The sandwiches and cutlets were delicious. For the Tony Piccante, the sauce spilled out so the bread on one half got really soggy. The other half was delicious though - the bread was fluffy and gad a good crunch to it. The That Louie's bread held up a lot better. I will say that I think it needed a little more pesto on the inside because the chicken was a little dry. One of THE BEST sub spots I have had. Relatively a new spot, but man oh man... I definitely recommend this spot if you ever visit Tampa. I had the Tony Piccante, which was absolutely delicious. Visited Cousin Vinny's recently while moving my son to Tampa. My son and wife had eaten there on a previous visit. They told me that I would love this place. Well, I am happy to report they were 100% correct. We went last Saturday evening. I have to say the chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce was probably one of the best I have ever had! The cutlet was crispy. The bread was the perfect vehicle for the sandwich. The vodka sauce was a perfect compliment to the sandwich. This is just simply an amazing place to grab a sandwich. We loved the place so much that we went back again on Monday. Both times the service was quick and courteous. The employees had wonderful attitudes and were just glad you were there. Going here I had really high hopes but I was also worried that it would be a letdown. Based off the extreme hype I was worried but knew I had to try it and do a trial by fire. It's a small restaurant with minimal parking and seating, but truly massive and delicious sandwiches so just plan on taking yours to go if needed. Grilled chicken Caesar salad wrap was WOW. You wouldn't think a Caesar wrap could get any better but then I tried this place... Number one tip is to order EARLY especially around peak times! I did an online order on a Friday at 1:30pm (website says it'll be ready in 30/45 minutes) and got there at 2:55pm. Place was PACKED. I ended up waiting until 2:20 when I finally got my food. I understand they can get wildly busy, so was fortunate to show up during a downtime, and even then it took a while for the sammy to come out, as it must be made fresh. Stopped by Cousin Vinny's on Sunday around 2pm. Wow they were absolutely PACKED inside. We couldn't tell who had ordered versus who was waiting for their order based on how crowded it was. After a bit, we realized everyone had ordered already and we stepped up to the cash register. I ordered the PROSCIUTTO DI PAPO and my boyfriend ordered the THEE PARMESAN DON. We stood awkwardly in the way of the trash can for a while as there was zero space in the place to go to truly be out of the way of people. After about 20 minutes of standing there, a table cleared up and we very quickly rushed over to grab a seat. The cashier came out and cleaned another table but did not bother to clean ours. It seemed as though she was only willing to clean empty table. After about 40 minutes, our food was ready. It was insane to see how many orders were on their screen as the whole kitchen is visible from inside the place. The sandwiches were good, but I would absolutely recommend ordering ahead so that you don't get stuck standing there forever waiting. Cousin Vinny's focuses more on other Italian sandwiches like cutlets and schiaccata. They had me at cutlet sandwiches and so we stopped by to try some. Service was quick and after ordering, it took about 10 minutes for my sandwich to be ready. There's a few tables inside but I took my food to go. I ordered the Tony Piccante which was fantastic! I cutlet was tender and tasty. The spicy vodka sauce was a huge highlight and it definitely had a nice kick to it! All things combined with the cheese and roasted red peppers, it was heavenly. However by the end of the sandwich, the acidic flavors got to be a little too much between the vodka sauce and roasted red peppers. If the vodka sauce or other parts of the sandwich were slightly salted more, I think this would help balance out the overall sandwich. But even with that being said, I really loved this sandwich and am sad that I won't be able to try something else until I'm back in Tampa! read more

Popped into Vinny's on a whim but gosh is it hard to find parking! They only have three spots! We ended up parking down the street and walking. It's definitely a primarily takeout spot. There are three tables which are always full. Super minimalist with the options and the supplies. You won't find napkins, forks or knives hanging out for you to access. The bathroom also didn't have any paper towels. Also the music was insanely loud. Couldn't even hear my husband from across the table. Now the food! The food was delicious!
