The Bagel Nook - Downtown Tampa, FL After hearing about The Bagel Nook and its over-the-top bagel creations, my family and I finally made the trip downtown to see what the hype was about. With St. Patrick's Day here and the city already in full celebration mode, the timing couldn't have been better. First impressions matter, and this place delivers immediately. The restaurant is clean, vibrant, and full of personality. You are instantly met with a massive display of bagels, cream cheeses, and pastries that goes far beyond what is listed online. The creativity here is on full display and it feels like part bagel shop, part dessert lab. Despite the line being out the door when we arrived, the operation was efficient and well run. The staff was friendly, organized, and kept things moving quickly even during a busy rush. We ordered a variety of items to get the full experience. The Shamrock Bagel with Banana Pie Cream Cheese was a standout. The bagel itself is more about the St. Patrick's Day look, but the cream cheese was incredible. Smooth, rich, and packed with banana flavor that tasted more like a dessert filling than a spread. The Maple Bacon Bagel with Bacon Cheddar Cream Cheese was also delicious, but very heavy. They are extremely generous with the bacon, which some people will love, but it can get close to overload. The maple and cheddar combination worked very well though. The BLT on the Tie Dye Bagel was good. The bagel fits the holiday theme visually, but flavor-wise it is a traditional bagel. The sandwich itself was exactly what you would expect from a BLT. Fresh and well made, just not unique compared to the rest of the menu. Then there was The Wrecker. This sandwich takes things to another level. It is stacked with chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings and feels like something you would expect from a high-end food truck concept. The cheese pull alone was impressive. It is indulgent, over the top, and absolutely worth ordering. Everything we had was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The cream cheese portions alone stand out because they really load it on instead of lightly spreading it. The only downside was seating. With how busy this place gets, more tables would make a big difference. That said, we made it work and it did not take away from the experience. Overall, The Bagel Nook lives up to the hype. Umm, kinda mid tbh. I've had this on my list to try to for years, even before they had a Tampa location. I'm happy we didn't wait in too long of a line like some other reviewers. Everything looked so much better than it tasted. I ordered the avocado blast sandwich w/ veggie cc and a French toast bagel with sweet cream cheese. Ordered them both toasted, but neither of them were. The avocado smash sandwich was decent, but the lack of toasted bagel kind of ruined the whole thing considering the bagel itself did not seem very fresh. The French toast bagel looked amazing, but was cold, not even room temp let alone toasted as ordered. Very dry, seemed like a 2-3 day old bagel or maybe even frozen and defrosted. I'm not sure. Again, that lack of freshness might have been easy to disguise if it had been toasted. Overall it's a cute place, lots and lots of crazy options. I would not go back. read more

What is going on here. Absolute fever dream. This place is just not real on so many levels. Is it fun, sure. But let's lock down the bagel itself. Then get wild. Once again, cool spot. Great location and tons of options. But maybe too many. It felt like everything was so spread thin that nothing was prioritized and championed. Seems as like the business model is to get you in just to try the "cool ranch cream cheese" and then make you never come back because you did it and tried it. I went with two friends and I got an everything bagel with bacon and chive cream cheese. Cool. Easy. Simple. But the bagel was just soft and tasteless. The cream cheese carried and it's purely because it tastes like bacon. The bagel didn't have a crunch, toast or just a good bite to it. Idk soulless Now the hot Cheeto bagel. My word. This was like a "I gotta just get it to get it". Hot take (no pun intended) not bad? And genuinely. It just tasted like a bagel and sadly enough, have more to it than the everything bagel. Stopped in just before closing on a Saturday afternoon. Store had plenty of bagels, baked goods, and cream cheese. My niece brought us bagels and cream cheese from here, so we decided to check the place out. We purchased several flavors of bagels. They also have many flavors of cream cheese, such as peanut butter, cannoli, scallion, strawberry and cranberry walnut. They have basic bagels such as everything, onion, egg, sesame, plain, blueberry etc. There are also unique flavors such as french toast, cheetos, chocolate chip, oreo and several cereal flavors. All the bagels we tried were very good. The cream cheese flavors did not disappoint. They make some delicious looking muffins which I will try next visit. For whatever reason, I was not impressed with this place. It was a little bit overwhelming, and the attendance at the register seemed a little bit impatient with all the questions. By the time I went, they were out of a couple of bagels that I went there for. However, if bagels are your thing, there are so many options, including great sandwiches even some that are not on bagels. The restaurant was small but very clean with lots of outdoor seating. I ordered the blueberry French toast bagel. I asked for light cream cheese and the cream cheese was so thick on my bagel that I had to wipe half of it off. I also ordered the bourbon coffee, which was just OK... I don't think I would go back but if I did, it would only be to try a lunch sandwich. read more

We discovered the Bagel Nook near our hotel during a recent visit to Tampa. We went here for breakfast twice during our stay. They offer an interesting collection of bagels and a variety of breakfast and lunch choices. I just had a toasted berry bagel with berry-flavored cream cheese. The bagels were good and served with a generous amount of fluffy cream cheese. The service was good. The store is small with no seating. However, there were several common tables outside. I done died and went to bagel heaven! I'd seen this place and their cool looking bagels all over social media so when my baby told me she wanted bagels for breakfast on her 4th birthday i knew this was the spot! I went with my family of 6. It was PACKED for a Monday morning I figured we'd go after the morning rush before work but it seems like this place is booming on the regular! They have menus on the wall but there's also paper menus by the door as you walk in for you to check out as you wait in line. There were so many options i found myself feeling overwhelmed but i ended up narrowing it down to the big B Asiago with scallion bacon cream cheese. I got a little wild and added bacon to my bagel too. The bagel was bombbbb definitely not your average Asiago bagel. And the cream cheese was bussin!!! Now to add bacon on it was a bit much lol the bacon itself was bomb but maybe not all together with the bacon scallion lol i got a little too excited They had fun tie dye bagels with birthday cream cheese spread for the birthday girl which was delicious!! My two oldest got the Cookie Monster overload and the cannoli bagel w/oreo spread and my husband got the turkey club on white bread instead of a bagel. Ok, Let me introduce you to your new obsession: The Bagel Nook First of all, this is not your average "grab a plain bagel and go" situation. Oh no. This is a full-blown bagel experience. We're talking rainbow bagels. Over-the-top cream cheese creations as well as some of their bagels ! An everything bagel is a favorite and it's heavenly seasoned. We tried the fruity pebble bagel with plain CC, Cinnamon Toast Crunch with maple CC, and a French toast bagel with sweet cream CC. Everything hands down was a close tie to the French toast bagel. Both our favorites. Oh, and we did also get a pistachio muffin = The fruity pebble was good but the Cinnamon Toast Crunch with maple CC was too sweet. We went back the second day for bagels and brought 1/2 dozen home too! The only thing I would suggest is asking for double toasted. This place gets BUSY! A line out the door, seriously. Every-time I pass by this place the line is out the door so I had to try it. The line moves pretty quick but also gives you enough time to figure out what you want because the menu is massive. There is endless options to choose from. Ohh bagel!! Excellent bagels! The bagel flavors were out of this world. Flaming Cheetos, Oreo, Cocoa Puffs, and many more. As a Jersey Girl I was also happy to see they had Pork Roll sandwiches. And it was yummy! The line was out the door, so be prepared to wait. They do a decent job of getting the food out, but standing and waiting is a little awkward and you feel in the way. Tried the bagel nook for the first time and I do have to say that it's worth the hype. I've seen this bagel place all over TikTok and finally got around the time to going downtown to get some. This is my 3rd NEW bagel shop tryout...they seem to be coming out of the woodwork, after not having any decent bagel shops for YEARS! So I'm happy they are here, but I'm not sure who my favorite is yet. I am torn between just trendy (line out the door) to a real winner for OPTIONS! It has SO MANY OPTIONS! This is what sets this place apart from the other new bagel shops. I really should have tried one of the super special fun flavored bagels with one of the 34 (NOT KIDDING) different cream cheeses available! That doesn't even include the salad toppings you could get.... Instead, I got a simple BLT egg bagel, toasted (although hardly)... it was ok. I'm knocking off another star because the kid behind the register could not understand that I don't like mayo and would have rather had plain butter instead but seemed to 'have' to charge me for that because I was adding butter... In fact, I was not adding, rather NO MAYO...butter instead. That seemed to be too much for him to handle. I think I may come back, it's right across from the Straz, which is convenient if you're going to a matinee, seems like a good option for a quick bite you can walk to easily. Being from NY it's hard to find good bagels in Tampa . Bagel nook brings me back home . Delicious bagels and cream cheese spreads. Bec on a toasted egg every thing bagel with salt ,pepper and ketchup if u know you know . We also the double nooker which is pork roll and bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and we decided to try the pretzel bagel that was just freakin Amazing. This place has fun and tasty bagels with insane flavour combinations! I'm going to need multiple visits to keep trying things that caught my eye. There is a plethora of cream cheese flavours. As someone who isn't a cream cheese fan, I appreciated that they also had several different flavours of butter. I didn't know what to really expect when I arrived, but was utterly surprised by the large selection of bagels and the crazy butter/cream cheese options. Wow!!!! What can I say. This takes bagels to a whole new level. They have the famous rainbow bagels, that I have only seen in specialty bagel shops off of Gold Belly. If you are into sweet you've come to the right place. They have all sorts of sweet cereal covered bagels and matching smears to go with them. If I remember correctly they have coco puffs, and fruity pebbles and lots of other sugary cereal bagels. I went for the good o' stand by, the everything bagel. I was then torn between the strawberry smear or the everything bagel smear. I went with the savory one. It was delish. It even had soft fresh onions in the smear. They really loaded it up with the smear, enough for 2 bagels. I wish we were here longer so I could try more combinations. People who live here are so lucky. Check out my pictures to see the smear flavors. They have both flavored butter and cream cheese. I went with the cream cheese smear. My husband got the egg sandwich. We each had half as it was really filling. I had mine half a couple of hours after he bought it and by then it was room temperature and it was still good. I have a coworker who has to be the first to know about everything-and then make sure everyone knows it. He went on and on about Bagel Nook, but hadn't actually been in yet. I may have to subtly let it drop on Monday-that I have. And oh, what a find it is! This mostly New Jersey based shop just opened in Tampa in the fall of 2025. It has all sorts of crazy bagel flavors (Captain Crunch, anyone?) and the cream cheese selection is outrageous and outstanding! It's in a case, displayed like ice cream! Cookie Monster, Fruity Pebbles, bacon scallion, ghost pepper... the list goes on and on. You can also choose from several flavored butters-or make your bagel a breakfast sandwich. So many combos, customizations and collabs. The possibilities are overwhelming. I went with my standard starter-sesame, toasted-and opted for the pumpkin butter. Ohhh, it was good-all those cozy, warm spices and not too sweet. The bagel was super fresh, light and crispy-and big! Filling! I also took home a bacon maple bagel (they had lots of tempting "fully dressed" bagels on top the cream cheese case). Wait till you see the size of this thing-and the amount of toppings! It's a whopper! Maybe that will be dinner tonight. I need to spend more time studying the menu. The line formed and moved quickly. I couldn't really look around till after I ordered. The shop is shiny and bright, super clean... vibrant and energizing. But it isn't built for lingering. There's just one table inside and a handful outside. It's a grab and go type of place. So, you'll find Bagel Nook in downtown Tampa-behind the library, across the street from the Straz, kitty-corner from Ave apartments. It's a nice, tucked in little area-in a new building-just steps from the Riverwalk. I think most of the clientele either lives or works right there (and it's amazing how residential that part of downtown is getting) . I drove over and found street parking close by. ($3.50 for an hour through the Park Mobile app). With bright colors, inventive flavors and so many topping options, it's next level "bagelry"(new word) . If you're looking for a lot of variety of different bagels and cream cheese that you never thought would go together, you need to come to the bagel nook! I remember going to New York City years ago and loving the bagels there because it was just so fresh and also because the cream cheese was so good with different flavors. So I'm so glad that there is a bagel place now in Tampa that reminds me of New York City. Even though I know it's from New Jersey lol. I have no complaints about the food of this establishment. The only downfall I would give it is that the weight line should be maneuvered differently. It's just a weird, awkward, line that you're trying to figure out where it starts, and where it ends. One day you can come in and the lines out the door, and the next day the line is inside, the shopping is asking everyone if they are in line. I have been here twice so it doesn't bother me too much but I just think for it to be better crowd control. Maybe you can snake the line somehow in the restaurant. The otherg that stops me from coming here as much as I would like is the fact of parking. I enjoy places where I can park really fast grab the bagel and Lyve without having to park. One other thing I would recommend is to have some kind of menu in the front by the cash register so you can look at the different flavors of bagels and cream cheese instead of having to turn your neck every time to remember what bagel and cream cheese you would like. I know sometimes the flavors can change, but at least having the ones that are there yrst around can help. Wow! One of new favorite bagel shops in Tampa Bay! First and foremost, the location is perfectly placed in downtown Tampa. Secondly, the store itself is very clean, open and full of so many options that you actually become a bit, overwhelmed with all that you can order and customize. Customer service was top-notch and the staff were very patient with my complex order and even offered suggestions with popular combinations. I haven't seen this many varieties of bagels or cream cheese since I was back in New York, so boy am I glad that we now have something local that is ran by a team far more pleasant than New York. The bagels themselves were perfectly chewy and the flavor profile was spot on if you chose one of the funky creations. All of the cream cheeses were amazing, my favorite being the bacon and scallion and the Cookie Monster! The sandwiches were huge and I mean HUGE! This place, is to NOT die for... but LIVE for and come back again and again and again! We were so impressed with the amazing selection and quality variety this upscale spot has that it literally made it hard to decide what to get. I think I went 'dear-in-the-headlights' for a minute or two. No joke. When you walk in, everything is bright and easy to see. Expect a line though, but expect it to go quick. The pickup at the end can take a minute on busy days but it's so worth it. The service behind the counter was friendly and very helpful as we navigated all the options. I mean sooo many options!! That's great and all, but if the product doesn't match the hype then it's all for nope. Well, not this time, everything we tried was amazing. And even though sometimes you can order crazy sounding or looking items off the menu (which we did), we got better than what we thought it would taste like. I mean, what more could you want?! My monster overload bagel was heaven and hubby and I split a breakfast bagel samich which was again so so good. Quality ingredients. We also got a dozen bagels to go and they were all good. But their sandwich and bagel "creations", were more than good. They were great! When something is this good, I hype it the way my pallet tried it. So this silly yet necessary question (that my hubby and I didn't even bother to ask one another this time) of if would we return? Well. My niece told us about The Bagel Nook that recently opened and how great it was. When she came to visit she brought us bagels from there. When she told me what they have available I told her to bring the normal regular bagels like everything, sesame or egg. When she arrived she brought those and some. She said they have delicious specialty bagels and delicious spreads, and she brought a few for us to try! I am Italian and would NEVER order a cannoli bagel! She also brought over a blueberry bagel with blueberry crumble cream cheese spread. Both the bagel and the spread were absolutely delicious! Again, not a bagel I would ordinarily choose!! I know this because after the visit with my niece my husband and I returned to The Bagel Nook. While walking the Riverwalk we took a little detour. The Bagel Nook is across the street from The Straz. Hubby & I arrived at around 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was no line out the door, yay for us! They still had plenty of bagels etc. left to enjoy. This was a pleasant surprise. Most bagel shops you walk into around this time before closing are usually out of everything. We found the staff to be pleasant and the shop to be spotless. They offer all the standard types of bagels and then all the specialty ones. They have different types of fun or kiddy bagels. For example cereal bagels. Cocoa Puffs, captain crunch, fruity pebbles, etc. they also have Doritos and Cheetos Bagels. The plethora of cream cheese spreads and flavored butters was mind boggling. I loved the Bagel Nook so much, we visited three times in two days. These were the best bagels me and my friends had ever had. They weren't tough or too chewy, they had a nice crunch on the outside, but were soft on the inside. They were almost fluffy. I got the Fatty. It was absolutely delicious. I couldn't finish it in once sitting but was impressed by how well it reheated. The Elvis Overload was my least favorite because even though I requested it be heated, it wasn't toasted so it was hard to eat. There was too much cream cheese for a cold bagel and it wasn't a pleasurable experience. The next day, we came back and I got to sample some cream cheeses and took a couple to go. We also ordered two dozen or so bagels to go. The service was great. Since we hadn't been in before, they were really patient with us. I love trying new bagel places and this one didn't disappoint! It's in the downtown area of Tampa, so there isn't a ton of parking but you can find street parking nearby. The line was out the door, but moved fairly quickly. Once you order, you'll have to wait again for the food to be ready, so it does get a bit crowded inside with having the line and the people waiting. The overall ambiance is nice aside from the crowds. They have tons of unique bagel flavors and even more unique cream cheese flavors, so it makes for a really fun experience. Well, this place isn't so hard to find, it's just located at the bottom of an apartment building, which also appears to be across the street from the Straz center. I came here after a morning run to get myself a treat. The line to check out was a little confusing considering there's two kiosks, but the line itself kind of taped around the outer perimeter of the store. The menu is also located behind the checkout counter, which makes it difficult to see what to actually order because before you get to the kiosk they have the cream cheese buckets behind a glass, which also displays options that you can purchase from. I think what's really confusing for me is the lack of menu prior to entering into the line and then the TVs behind the checkout counter with the menus, but they flashed too fast and I couldn't decide what I really want. So when I went to order, I just chose a bagel that was on the wall and then ordered a very generic cream cheese. I also wanted to point out that the amount of people working was astonishing to me because I don't think I've ever seen six people crowded around a counter to make breakfast items. read more

Place is gas. Now I'm not rating it 10/10 because it's the best I've ever tried but it's the best you'll try in Tampa. A cute new bagel sho with endless creative items and huge creations! Yes they just opened so there is a bit of a line but it moves fast and their employees are helful, super great with questions and really should be applauded! The owner was there there too working hard and chatting with guests! We decided on a sweet and savory option- cannoli overload and avocado blast on doritos bagel. The cannoli overload was amazing and surprisingly not too sweet! I loved the avocado blast but wouldn't do the doritos bagel again as it was really flat, no cheese or dortitos flavor which was disappointing. The other thing that was disappointing was the ice coffee- really watered down tasting and just not worth it. I will come back and try some more options! read more

Great selection of bagels, cream cheese, spreads and bakery items. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches among other menu items. It's not just a bagel shop. I saw this on instagram and had to try it. Food was delicious! There are 7 outdoor tables, no tables inside. It's a walk up and order type of place. I will be returning soon. A shop in Clearwater or St. Pete would be nice. read more

This is hands-down the best bagel in the entire Tampa Bay Area--and the only truly authentic New Jersey bagel you'll find here. The portions are huge, everything is incredibly fresh, and the quality is unmatched. Mark, the owner, is one of the kindest people you'll meet, and he deserves major credit for finally bringing a real NJ bagel to Tampa. The staff is friendly, hardworking, and doing an amazing job keeping up with the nonstop demand. Yes, the place is viral--so expect a wait. But honestly? I've waited far longer in New Jersey, and these bagels are absolutely worth every minute. Stumbled upon the Bagel Nook this morning while walking the river walk. Very cute spot! Long line and very unique bagel and spread options with a lot of hot and iced coffee options as well! very fairly priced especially considering the location. We spent about $15 dollars on 3 bagels, two cream cheese spreads, and one hot coffee. read more

I hate when one of your ny/ny bagel shops finally open in Tampa and they are nothing like what they are up north. Ordered 3 bagels and got 2. Had a time frame for pick up but the bagels are cold. The location is across from Straz so theres zero parking. Good luck staying open. read more

All things considered, I think this is a fun spot. They have so many options for different cream cheeses and novelty flavors that you can't find anywhere else. When I went, the service was also great with workers offering assistance and giving recommendations. One of the only issues I had with this place was the layout; it's just one giant room and doesn't have a designated waiting area with a lot of space so once you order, it's kind of hard to navigate where to wait. Also, I got the iced coffee and I have to say I am not a fan. I got the vanilla bourbon flavor and it was very plain. All of the coffee is self serve as well; you make everything yourself including adding syrups and milk. If I'm going to order a coffee, I'd prefer to have it made for me but the setup was easy to follow. I just didn't really like their options. However, for food, I got the Asiago bagel with Lox cream cheese and it was delicious. The cheese flavor was really there on the bagel and the texture was nice and pillowy- I got mine toasted. The lox cream cheese is delicious and they are generous with the amount they use. If you are going to come here, skip the coffee and just get a bagel with one of their specialty cream cheeses! There is also parking nearby but it is paid so keep that in mind. I got my boyfriend an egg and cheese sandwich and he said it was good but nothing crazy. Overall, I'd go back to just order a bagel w a fun cream cheese. read more
