The weekend was fast approaching and the pain was constant, so I was concerned about getting the help I needed. I was looking for someone who could give me all my prescriptions etc. Dr. Cella spent about an hour with me - she talked to me, took a full history, and I got a physical with lots of extra bloodwork because she wanted to test my vitamin d levels as well as screen me for celiac disease based on what my symptoms are. She was really nice and I walked out with 2 prescriptions for my insomnia and my anxiety disorder, as well as 2 referrals for an allergist and a dermatologist. Her office even made the appt for me for the dermatologist before I left. I'm excited to find a good PCP. The office is located behind JW hospital in the medical office park.

Cathy is the lead nurse and she is always super organized and extremely helpful and communicative! Colleen is such a sweet and welcoming member of WellcomeMD. I always love seeing her face!:) Heidi is fabulous on the phone and great with communications. She gets the job done! But when it comes to your health, your relationship with your doctor, it's an intimate dynamic because it requires clarity and trust on the part of the doctor and patient. Dr. Carl is so relaxed that he puts his patients at ease immediately. He is thorough and goes through all of your blood panels with you one-on-one and makes excellent suggestions and also is complimentary if he feels that you are doing well. He will prescribe supplementation only if it is reflected as needed in your bloodwork. Personally, my blood pressure zooms up every time I go to the doctor. He immediately made it clear he wanted to wean me off of my glp-1, encouraging me to focus on exercising and keeping my heart rate up instead. Then I tried to get a b-12 shot (I was previously getting them monthly and they helped with my energy levels) and he would not do it. He said I didn't need it, so it would be a waste of healthcare resources, and he doesn't like giving people shots who don't need them. Finally, this week I have been trying for 3 days to get my anxiety and depression medications refilled. I called multiple times a day. Not only were these medications filled at the very last minute, before we head into the weekend, but they were filled INCORRECTLY. For one medication, he filled it for 100mg instead of 150mg. For the other, it was filled as a fast release instead of a slow release. This prescription ordeal has been an unbelievable display of medical negligence, as the doctor took 3 days, without ever contacting me, to refill psychiatric medications which he then filled incorrectly.
