So I was in town to visit friends and my hair was such a mess. The previous day I was traveling that whole day and didn't have the energy to get my hair done. A quick google search and I saw this cute little place pop up. I was familiar with Morrisville as I use to live in the Charlotte area. It was Friday morning at 11:45am and I was lucky enough to be able to score an appointment for an hour later (I should be considered lucky as most people had christmas parties that weekend) I had my hair appointment with Rachel and my lord she did a beautiful job with my hair. I always get my hair straight but I wanted to mix it up with some curls and it was gorgeous! I plan to see her everytime I'm in Charlotte. Go out of Charlotte and visit this place for your Blow Outs. You won't regret it! Such cute decorations and Rachel was so funny! Horrible experience with condescending, rude, and unprofessional owner of Couture Salon and Spa. Had an appointment to color hair, roots, etc. a strawberry/golden color with blonde highlights. When hair was blow dried it was totally blonde with NO strawberry or gold color to be found. Also had a lovely patch of silver gray on one temple. It was so disappointing, and truly upsetting that I literally cried.. But only after the owner just about called me a liar saying that I requested "beige blonde. " NOPE and NEVER have I ever asked for "beige blonde. " The young stylist was upset also but had followed the color mixing instructions from owner via phone. After I was told, by the rude owner, that I did request beige blonde and that I had said nothing about gold or strawberry, she told me to pay the stylist and make an appointment to come in during the week so she could fix it. I explained that I could not come back during the week. That's why I was there on a weekend day. The stylist attempted to throw some red in there and blow dried it. It wasn't great.. I was in town on work and my hair was a mess. I decided to go in for a blow out. The staff was very friendly and I was able to get an appointment pretty quick. I give it three stars because my hair was extremely frizzy after the blowout. I have extensions and usually after a blowout my hair is smooth with no frizz. I'm not sure if it is the products they used or the technique used. They were a little expensive as well. read more

Where do I begin? First off, they are thieves, and they will rob you blind. I made an appointment with Jacqueline to touch up my roots, and nothing more. She said to me, that my hair needed to be highlighted. It already was highlighted. I should've got up and walked away. First off, she is not highly skilled. Two, they stole money from me and did not perform the services needed. I will document with pictures down below. I was highly a nice job until I got home that afternoon. The salon is old, poor lighting, chairs without bars, so your legs are left hanging, not clean, shampoo bar that is old from the 70s. I should've left. She kept tugging on my hair. Her skill level is zero. As for the owner, when I reached out to her, she told me that services are not free. That will be in pictures below. When I got home, I realized that every highlight that I had was gone, I had black gunk under my neck, my hair was 10 different colors. I just went in. Do you have toning on my roots. This should not be a difficult house. They charged me $218.00. That's right folks, I have the receipt to prove it. All the charges were custom. I didn't even know what to say. When I got home, I rinsed everything off underneath my neck area. I blew out my hair properly as she did not see that either. She said she cut my hair, that did not happen either. I do not know any salon in Charlotte that we charge $218.00 for color and a cut. I will be placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the police department. It was highway robbery. When I reached out this morning, I sent pictures only to realize, that the owner was in the Bahamas with her boyfriend, and the hairstylist who damage my hair was sending me texts back. This after the receptionist told me that she was not in until Monday. My hair was green, white, red, and black. I did reach out to American Express and explained what had happened. Salons always have set prices. She made up all these custom prices, and they even charge a service fee. It is literally insane how crooked and mismanaged by the owner Amber. She was unwilling to meet with me, correct what was done, and even though I sent twelve pictures, the staff had the audacity to pretend they were her. Jacqueline said to me that she gets commission. I even gave her an opportunity to be honest. She blew out my hair, and at that point she should've known the damage she did, and that the color and the bleach use did not produce what I asked her for. Again, I came in for roots. To know a salon is charging $218 for color and a cut, Should be close down and you should fire your employees. There is an old saying, while the cat is the way the hens will play. Amber, I hope that you see this and see the words of your employees. They abuse their position and they abuse somebody who is disabled. You stole money from me and that is not OK. My hair was so bad, I had to go to another shop. She use so much bleach on my hair and she damage my hair. I have demarcation lines all over my scalp. The back of my hair was black. My advice to you, is return the money. To tell a customer, that you will not be offering a correction service, offering to meet with me, and to see the damage she did, and have three of your employees sending me horrible messages, and not excepting responsibility, is quite disgusting.
