Dropped off a few bags today for consignment. Met with the shop owner after scheduling the appointment earlier in the day with the store manager. Both were incredibly friendly and very helpful. The store had a great selection of high-end items that appeared very reasonably priced. I didn't look too hard to avoid the temptation of buying today. But will definitely be back. Took maybe 10 minutes to evaluate the bags and get the standard paperwork signed. Hoping they get scooped up soon. Left them in great hands, I believe. 5 stars out of 5 stars, for sure. read more

I don't like leaving bad reviews. But! I dropped off a pair of Christian Louboutin / So Kate (in original box, with extra heal caps. Pretty much new!) I never heard from them after a few weeks of dropping them off. I called and the person who answered said "we are getting great feed back but no one has purchased them". Me: Okay, great I'll wait for them to sale. I stop by today to pick my shoes up to try a different consignment store. Fatou tells me "the manager has said they have sold but you don't get a percentage since it's been over three months in our store since they have sold." .... what!!! why wouldn't I get my percentage of the shoes I dropped off for you to sell? What kind of consignment store is this? They didn't want to pay me out for my Louboutin shoes! Manager got in contact with Fatou in which she reached out saying they will give me my part. I go back to the store 2 days later, I receive a check of $112.50 ! That's not 40% of what they were selling. Manager goes on saying, after 90 days we mark the shoes half off. Again, why wasn't I contacted. I would have picked them up! Here's a copy of the contact I NEVER RECEIVED! I had to ask for it. Don't plan on coming here again. Thank you. read more

This place is a hidden gem!!! All of the pieces look either brand new or worn once. I was able to get an Armani Collezioni silk blouse, an Etro sheath dress, and Alice and Olivia shorts all under $200. The staff is so kind and helpful as well. read more

I brought in a few items that I don't have any space for anymore. Sometimes you get really nice gifts with the best of intentions and you have to use them or wear them a few times for the giver's benefit. ("OH! I LOVE THIS!! I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR IT!" while on the inside cringing.) Then... you can bring them here where you can get 40% of the sale price. Unsold items are subject to a price reduction after 30 days and unsold merch is the property of the shop after 120 days. You can pick up your items after 90 days (with a $15 admin fee if picked up before then). Anyway, lots of great items to be had here - all name brand designers and all in super shape. The owner knows her stuff and I would recommend those on a budget to come here to take a look around! read more

I was really disappointed with this store. I made sure to check the hours and it stated that they opened at 11am. When I got there at 11:30, the store was still closed and the light was turned off. I was really excited to visit the store and that day was my only day in town but ended up walking away with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

This is the more "downscale" location of Fatou's 2 shops by this name...but it's still full of great designer duds in excellent condition at very fair prices. And there's really nothing downscale about it. The shop is clean, well-stocked (with a nifty clearance section near the changing rooms) and the staff is always friendly. No snooty staff here! I've picked up Hermes, Armani and Chanel at this location on the (relatively) cheap, all the while chatting with very human salespeople. One of my favorite Houston haunts! Parking isn't exactly ample, but there are a few spaces immediately in front of the shop and a few more in the adjacent Torchy's lot. It's just about right for the area. read more

The Couture Blowout on Westheimer is stocked with the very high end designers, the Shepherd location is the "down to earth" version. They do have plenty of high end labels, but they also have "mid level" designer clothes. Recently I've picked up a Bloomingdale's black tunic that looks great with leggings and a blazer, and a silk Prada blouse that I plan to wear belted with a mini skirt. I especially like the sale rack in the back room. Items there are anywhere from 30% to 70% off their already good prices. If you're looking for some special designer pieces to spice up your wardrobe but are a bargain hunter like me, this is the place for you. read more

Surrounded by mostly thrift shops, this designer resale boutique is excellently edited and has quite a collection of lightly worn designer (Chanel, Gucci, D&G) clothes. The merchandise is as good as you will find in New York consignment stores - maybe even a little better - and the owner is very nice. read more

Avoid at all costs. Owner claims she has clients to sell your items too but she is really just charging you a cleaning fee and storage price if you don't pick up your item on time by agreement on the paperwork she is allow d to keep it. When I went to pick my items back up as I wanted to just keep them owner charged me to get them out which was a complete waste of my own time and money. Also told me my items were not authentic when one of my items had an authenticity tag in it and IS AUTHENTIC all you do is call the store and find out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING HERE. Very clean and organized. Beautifully displayed garments as to be able to shop easily. I haven't been here in a while, but I keep it on my short list of great resale stores. I've passed by this consignment shop several times with my daughter. I decided to stop by to see if they had anything she may consider wearing as one of her outfits for her upcoming Sweet 16 Soiree. While the signage boasts that this is a "High End Consignment Resale", the service was anything but. I walked in, the young lady was seated in a chair with her back to the door. She looked over her shoulder,I smiled and said, hello. She said hello and turned back around to proceed with whatever it was she was doing. She NEVER welcomed me to ship there, asked if I needed help, what I was looking for, if I found what I was looking for - NOTHING. After I'd looked thru all the racks in the front of the store, she was placing a handbag back on a shelf and we made eye contact. Still no offer for assistance. There were a few dresses and tops that my daughter and I would love to own, but I would never purchase them from this store. I'm actually sitting outside now in my vehicle posting this review!!! Stay away! Very unprofessional business I am a stylist and I clean out my clients closets so I have a ton of designer items! I stumbled upon this place one day and thought they had a good selection of designer clothing. The lady told me to bring some items in so I did, about 40 pieces. They told me it would take two weeks to put out but to call back in a month to see what sold. I call a month later to only be told that NONE of my product was put out, and that someone was suppose to call me weeks ago. (But of course they didn't) Not only did no one call me to tell me my product was sitting in a box in the back I had to call! Are you kidding me? So I go in to pick it up the lady barley said two words to me and brings out a torn up bag with my stuff. When I asked why no one called me or my product wasn't put out I was told it was to old. 1. This is a consignment shop it's all older product 2. Half of my stuff was NEW with tags 3. No one even called to tell me! What a waist of my time To top it all off I get home and some of my designer items are missing!! I've tried calling and no one picks up the phone ever! I am so pissed at the lack of professionalism I feel like my time was waisted and that I was robbed I have never written a review for anything! But I feel like this is unexceptable and people should no! There are much better places to consign in Houston never go to this dump! read more

Ok, I have to admit that I have an addiction! Couture Blowout is a new store that re-sells high-end designer goods. Owner Fatou Fall, has finally taken her operation to a store front!! She consigns pieces from all of the top desingers including: Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Etro, Hermes, Chloe, McQueen, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Prada, LV, Burberry, Dolce and Gabbana, Valentino, Versace, etc. I've been shopping with Fatou for about a year now and always find something that I love. Her prices are fair and you can always find a bargain. And by bargain I mean things that retail for $5000 that she is selling for $450, after all it is Couture! She gets her merchandise from the closets of the "ladies who lunch" and has a keen eye for style. Her inventory changes quickly so make sure you stop by often. It's easy to find her store as it's across the street from Buffalo Exchange and in the same shopping center as Cafe Montrose. read more
