They were overly friendly to the locals, and a bit cool and indifferent to everyone else. We had plenty of time to observe this pattern. Also, they all moved at the pace of a Siberian snail. But they do warn you about their lack of expediency both verbally, and by way of multiple signs that urge patrons to exercise patience. If I had to sum up the ambiance, I would say that it's eclectic, somewhat hippy-ish, and clean. If you have time in your hands, this is a good place to get a darn good sandwich!

After growing frustrated with the other coffee shop on the main drag, we searched for nearby options and were relieved to find this one open. Overall, Voltage Coffee House was a much better experience. You could actually taste the coffee in the drinks, which was a nice change. The gal who took our order was friendly and greeted us with a smile, which added a welcoming touch. The two baristas preparing the drinks seemed a bit disoriented and unsure with some of the orders, so I was pleasantly surprised when the drinks came out just right. The ambiance of the café felt a little scattered--it didn't seem like there was a consistent theme--but the space definitely has good bones and the potential to be something special. One small thing I appreciated was that they don't put the lids or straws on your drinks for you. It's a simple but thoughtful touch that I personally prefer. We'll definitely be back.

When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I tried their gravy to determine what bread I wanted (biscuit was an option) and it was so good. I'm such a gravy snob and this was quite flavorful with a creamy texture. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her. This is a super cute place with indoor seating and what looked like a covered patio dining area. We will definitely be back.
