Unfortunately I had a very similar experience with Covan as the others here. By far the worst pack out I have ever had while serving in the military. I am really suprised they are able to keep their contract. My only advice to those of you who get stuck with the company is take pictures of all items you value and prepare to do a detailed claim on the other end to recover losses. As if a PCS move is not stressful enough as it is. The whole ordeal seamed like a sick joke. read more

Normally, I'm not a bitchy woman, but this company? Oh yeah. They found that button and pushed it repeatedly and now my inner bitch must speak. First off, WE had to call them to schedule and confirm. Apparently, even with a government contract (which they won over Hawaiian Movers), they can't be bothered with their customers. Although they showed up within the allotted time slot of 8-10, they didn't have any available trucks. So, they let out two workers to start packing while they took the truck elsewhere to load. The two men didn't speak much English, so communication as to what was going/staying was difficult. These two proceeded to pack things up and take the boxes up the outside stairs to await a truck for pickup. They blocked the upstairs walk way and cut off the stairs to the other downstairs resident. After we asked, as well as the property manager, it was apparent they had NO idea what was being said and the boxes stayed. After 7 hours, the work was finally done and they left. Sadly, they left a black light, Mt. Fuji walking stick and half a bed frame tucked behind a bedroom door. I called them to let them know of this error and they told me that if we wanted it shipped and with our other property, WE would have to come to the warehouse. I then took a bag of garbage out to the dumpster outside. It was then that I became aware of the cigarette butts, soda cans, water/Gatorade bottles and trash they left strewn about the parking lot and the neighbors yards. Had it been left, we would have been fined. I got up the next morning and drove to the warehouse where I had to wait over an hour in a hot building while they tried to find our crate, get it open, pack the stuff inside, re-close it, fill out papers and verify they sealed it. While waiting, I watched one of the front end loader drivers drop some crates. Sorry if your stuff is smashed Peter C. I'm sure they'll blame it on the ships crew. If we are ever stationed in Hawaii again, I can promise you that even if it comes out of our pockets, we'll find other movers/shippers. You know, a company that cares about repeat business and possible continued contracts with the government. read more

My husband is in the military and Covan World Wide Moving Co., i suppose is contracted by the military to move out families pcs-ing. This company is extremely unprofessional. They missed 5 drawers in the kitchen and the entire guest bathroom. They also packed items we had put aside to give back to the cable company. They also left all their boxes and packing tape lying around in almost every room, not to mention a bunch of pieces of packing paper all over the house. They also cracked our tile and put a few severe dings in the walls. What bothers me the most, is that they helped themselves to some of our food. I think that that is increadibly rude and obnoxious. If they are used again to move us, I will flat out refuse and find another company myself. read more

Schedules mean absolutely nothing to them. Was scheduled for 1st, 2nd and 5th of July. Moving 3 storage units. Monday they show up at 4pm, totally unprepared to do anything. Thus, nothing gets done. I am told they will call first thing Tuesday to let me know the plan. They don't. I call them and finally get an answer they won't be coming on the 2nd, but rather the 3rd! Nice. I have to miss another day of work. On the 3rd, they tell me they will arrive around 1pm. For a variety of reasons they show at 6pm and work about 4 hours. I do not blame the drivers, packers, movers, etc. They are the real workers. I blame the management whom seem incapable of making a schedule, much less sticking to it. So. 4th of July and I am waiting on them to show and am facing the real possibility of having to pack out tomorro also. We are into the 4th day of this planned move and 80% of my stuff has not been touched. This after they tell me 3 days. This after I have rearranged my schedule to accommodate their plan. This includes taking off work for 3 days. Based on their plans, not mine. This company has exhibited a total lack of communication skills and not one person from management has spoken to me, or addressed my concerns. They simply do not respond. I have no recourse other than to wait on them to move my stuff. Moving is stressful, I get that. But this stress is totally unnecessary and this company, at the managment, planning and communication level is unacceptable. I have moved 9 times in my adult life, including overseas, and without question this is the worst experience I have ever had. Perhaps when this is in the past I will have a happier review, but at this point, I cannot think of any task I would recommend them for, much less moving. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. Just received all stuff today. I can't even begin to explain how much of my stuff is broken. Grill, bed frame, desk, bookshelves, TV, just to explain a few. They package your stuff like shit, if they even bother to package it. They are not supposed to ship any liquids, just opened up a box and found a gallon of vinegar. The only thing they do good is move fast, so fast that you can't see what and how items are being packaged. On top of all of that they're pretty rude. The driver was a half way descent guy only because he absolutely has to be. The rest of them were dicks. Please refuse to use this moving company if they pop up. They showed up 2 hours late. With 3 guys that struggle carrying boxes they packed themselves that don't weigh more then 50 lbs. They also can't park to save their lives. They paid to have the parking blocked off for access. In a space twice as long as their truck they could not pull their 24 ft flatbed truck to the curb. They blocked the garbage truck, a UPS truck, and even other neighbors in regular cars and trucks because they can't pull next to the curb. And they left my boxes sitting on the road while they continue to carry other items down to the truck. If a box got hit or run over I would blame them entirely not the driver who hit my belongings. The inconvenience to the neighborhood been embarrassing all day because while I'm moving out my parents will continue to live in this house and I may move back someday. Just PCSd from Hawaii with Covan. Garbage is all I can say. 60+ boxes weren't even labeled or put on the inventory! I would have caught it if they weren't so jacked up - I gave up trying mid job. Plenty of large broken items, missing items, and poor packing (i.e. Stemware under large heavy items, vacuum secured in a box with my pillows, packing large tools into a flimsy outdoor closet they should have taken apart, picture frames jammed together in a box without cushion, broken in half Birdseye maple desk, destroyed benches etc etc etc. The Covan crew that unpacked us was even getting mad. Did I mention that they took three days just to pack us out? That may have been because they only left one guy to pack and he left by 3pm daily. Needless to say the crappy job is consistent with everything. Generally poor and greedy management is the issue. Good luck if you're stuck with them. read more

DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO HANDLE YOUR HHG SHIPMENT!!!!!! They dropped off 1 guy at my house today to pack out my 9,000lbs of HHG. It is currently 6pm and hes not even halfway done! I was assured that this would be completed today as i am turning over the house tomorrow morning. I have called the office multiple times and have been told more people are on the way. Moving company showed up 30 minutes into my 4 hour window. They introduced themselves and were very courteous. My unaccompanied baggage shipment (dod military) was organized with my breakables pre-packed with thick bubble wrap and clothes organized in Rubbermaid boxes and I had a complete inventory for the movers. They quickly verified my belongings and packed within 30 minutes (approx 500 lbs). No damage. No mishandling. Very satisfied. Thanks Neil and Alan. read more

I wish I could give this company ZERO stars. It started with them showing up two hours later. We had our share of experience with moving companies in the past 20-yrs and Covan in Hawaii was by far the worst. Most of our movers packed our entire home in two days. It took them three long damn days. They start late and left close to midnight everyday. We had one packer on day 1 and day 2 and two packers on day 3. The first packer was somewhat okay. Very very slow but okay. The second packer we caught trying to steal my son's xbox, cd's and baseball/basketball cards. My husband bitched him out and turned him in. Around 6pm on the first day a truck filled with men pulled up. They started removing stuffs from our home. My husband got angry because they didn't look like employees, they weren't writing down anything or tagging anything and they were trying out some of our workout equipment. We had a 5-gallon water jug filled with coins collected over a decade. Ironically it came up missing when our stuffs arrived in San Diego. Some of our stuffs were either broken or damaged like our brand new sectional, which we just purchased four months before our move. The Covan employees in San Diego said a lot of our items were left unmarked which indicates that the workers in Hawaii were planning on stealing it but for some reason changed their minds. Most of the time we found the employees sleeping or hanging out outside for hours doing nothing at all. On the last day our stuffs were left out in the rain and wasn't picked up till 11pm. I yelled at the workers. Told them to move our stuffs. Why is it in the damn rain? (Like Seriously)...smh! I also found it so damn frustrating that nothing was packed accordingly. They mixed master bedroom with kids rooms, garage items with kitchen, living room with laundry room, storage room with bathrooms. Some items I still can't find because who knows what damn box it's in. I hate this damn company and I can happily say that I will NEVER have to deal with this company ever again!!!!! They have postponed my drop off multiple times first it was Monday then today and somehow their truck broke so now it's not till Saturday. If I could of picked another company to PCS with I would of. So, I was very wary because of the reviews. I was so ready to be disappointed BUT it turned out okay. 3 start only because the company itself scheduled us for a couple hours when it was supposed to be an all day or two day job. That was a miscommunication on their part, but the actual movers who came to the house were really nice about it and got my stuffed packed nicely. I have to give praise to DJ cause he got things going so smoothly and was a huge help and answered all my questions, it was really appreciated. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We had had the disservice of being assigned to work with Covan for our PCS move from Hawaii to San Diego. The movers have shown up HOURS late every day, one day they didn't show up at all. They have moved extremely slow AND they didn't finish the job by the day their conctract stated. The workers themselves are nice but they have no regard for people's time or schedules. The main office here on Oahu is extremely rude and unhelpful. My husband called numerous times to try and find out where the movers were and he was told every time they would look into it and call back, which they never did. Hoping the military here will pull all contracts from Covan so others don't have to go through this. read more

Zero stars! On par with previous reviews. If you are thinking about hiring them, don't! If you are military...you have rights...demand that your transportation service provider be changed prior to delivery. If I had it my way I would love to see the military revoke their privileges as an approved moving company. Their business model is to spread their packers too thin. The will lie to your face at survey time telling you about how the move is good my to be conducted. Your intentions will be completely ignored. Expect that they will show up mid day and leave you with 1 packer (even with 11K shipment). They will try and leave that guy there until late at night! Then we had to fight management and request TMO QA contact the to get more people out the next day. Again a mid day arrival. They sent us a broken crate for our small shipment and seemed annoyed that I wouldn't accept it. They refused to protect our floors, doors, and walls. Said they don't perform those services. Upon arrival we had trash packed in with our goods and more things broken than we have experienced in 12 years of military moves. We had 4 family friends packed by Covan at same time and they all experienced similar problems. Don't say I didn't warn you! Don't just hope they will get better or you will have a different crew. They blocked in the parking lot for the building I live in so that no one could get in or out and had the belongings of the people they were "moving" spread all over the lot. I can't believe I am just now getting around to this, but I just wanted to share some positive remarks about the moving company Covan Worldwide Moving. They were very respectful and made the packing process smooth, and even fun! The guys were laid back and extremely hard workers. They packed the house up in a days work and didn't leave a mess (~5300 lbs). For this being my husband and my first time PCSing, I can say they made it much less stressful than I had imagined. When I asked if they were happy with the way they had been treated by us, they said they were happy and couldn't give any complaints. We offered bottled water, food, and gave them access to the restrooms. Very pleased :) read more

If you want your items stolen then choose Covan. I PCSed from Hawaii to the mainland with Covan. My household goods were slated to be packed before Thanksgiving. My move to Hawaii was smooth with the team packing me up in one day and shipping the next. When the team of four arrived at 10am, one packer was left to work on my 3 bedroom/2 bath house. The packer worked until 7pm and wanted to work until 10pm so they could complete more jobs. The packer listened to music, played on his phone, watched TV, and sometimes sat for hours doing nothing. At 6:30pm the remaining three packers arrived and hastily threw my belongs into two crates and left. Day 2 was not any better. The same pattern was repeated. On day 3, the one packer worked until 5pm when the team showed up and in the rain my belongings were quickly crated. When they could not fit my couch in a crate, they ripped the paper open to remove the legs and put the couch back into a crate. I made them take the couch off and rewrap. I got major attitude. When the team finished putting my furniture into crates, they were not going to seal them with the security tape. I took a video to show how the crates were not secure. Once again major attitude. The final item to move was my motorcycle. Because it was raining, team promised a mover would arrive at 9am to pick the motorcycle up. I called 3 times and finally at 4pm in the rain my motorcycle was moved. If they had shown up at 9am as promised, it would have been sunny. When my household goods were delivered, I noticed one box was filled with packing material. I thought nothing of it until I realized today that the box should have contained hand carved Hawaii, African and Balinesian masks. The only person who knew which box contained the masks was the packer who worked each day. As stated DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO HANDLE YOUR HHG SHIPMENT. "A" you are a thief. Coven moved our household goods from Georgia to Hawaii. We had an overall great experience with the company on both ends. The packers were friendly and efficient and the unpackers were very kind and just pleasant to work with. Working with the staff was the best part of our experience. Negatives: one of the packers (also not so friendly) just threw our stuff in boxes and labeled them all "Der"- while unpacking the labeling was frustrating and her boxes are the ones that had broken items. Yes, I could complain that some of our stuff was broken and damaged because it was but we understand that mistakes happen and when moving across the ocean, things are going to be damaged. What upset my husband and I the most is that we were promised the boxes would be nailed shut and sealed at the time packing was finished therefore they would not be opened again until they were unpacked. This was clearly not true when our things arrived. Things that went in assembled came out cut and unassembled (ie a custom teepee for our daughter). Rummaging through our stuff or reassembling for better transfer is not acceptable unless you contact the mover. read more

TERRIBLE!!! 16 years in the Army and 11 PCS moves (I know it's a lot) this is hands down the worst pack job ever! The workers (or should I say 1 worker) is great. The management is absolutely horrible. They clearly take on more than they can handle and do not have the workforce to support the demand. We have 17,000 lbs of HHG and approximately 17 crates worth of goods. They dropped off 1 person to pack out the entire house by himself. The first day they left him here by himself for 10 hours and never came to pick him up, he had to walk to a nearby McDonalds (2 miles away) after a full day of packing. Day 2 the same poor dude got dropped off for another 10 hour day by himself. On day 3 around 4:00pm someone else finally showed up; I thought to help him, but it was to actually pick him up and bring him to another job. It is currently day 4. After multiple calls to the TSP provider they finally brought 3 people. They were supposed to be loading today, but it is 4:30pm on the 4th day and they are still packing. About 20 mins ago, 3 more workers showed up and they are now all in a mad scramble to try and load these 17 crates. I can only imagine what my stuff will look like on the receiving end. Furthermore, we have a hot tub, motorcycle, and scooter. They did not bring crates big enough for any of them so they have to take those items unpacked and build crates at their warehouse. I feel for the workers of this company. They have no compassion for their workers and we pay for the quality of the work by the mismanagement. I am going to the military transportation office tomorrow to file a formal complaint. Unbelievable how the military accepts this company. read more

For delivery of my unaccompanied baggage, they arrived at the start of the delivery window and were in and out within 15 minutes.

I wish zero stars was possible, because Covan doesn't even deserve that. I had been assigned Covan as my moving company in 2009 and did not have a good experience. Since then, I have always requested not to use this company. However, they were assigned to me for the current move and Covan never ceases to disappoint. This move has by far and without question been the worst government move--I have done seven--that I have ever had. It is astounding that Covan is still in business after their predictably unsatisfactory performance on two separate moves nearly a decade apart. A Covan representative called me on Saturday, June 23rd to confirm the pack up start date of Monday 25 June. This phone call confirmed that the move would be a three-day pack up (Monday through Wednesday) with a one-day load (Thursday). I informed them that I was prepared to begin the move on Monday. On Monday, no packers showed up and no explanatory phone calls from Covan were given. It took me calling them for the company to tell me no one was coming that day. As a consolation, I was told extra packers would show up on Tuesday to make up for the lost day. On Tuesday, June 26th, I called Covan at 8:34 am and was told the packers would be at my house with the hour. I got a call from the packers at 9:52 am saying they had been re-routed by Covan dispatch to a different job and would be to my house in about three hours; this was day two of a three day pack out. I called Covan and spoke to the General Manager at 9:54 am. He said he would find out why the packers had been re-routed and that he would call me back. The GM never called back so I called him at 10:14 am. He said the packers would be re re-routed back to my house. The packers called me at 10:16 am saying they would be to the house in about 30 minutes. Two packers arrived but no extra personnel were present despite a promise to the contrary made by the GM on Monday. When I spoke to the GM on Tuesday and the office person on Monday, both assured me the pack out date of Thursday would not be affected. I called the Camp LeJeune Distribution Management Office (DMO) to explain the situation. DMO called Covan to address the situation was told extra packers would come to my house after they finished a current job. A total of one extra packer arrived at about 1:00 pm on Tuesday. I called Covan twice on Wednesday 27 June to verify the main truck would be coming on Thursday June 28 for the final load out. The office person confirmed the truck would be there and that a separate truck would be sent to pick up the seven memory foam mattresses and the rock climbing wall to be crated separately. The separate crating of the mattresses and the rock wall had been previously approved. I was also told to call Covan if I hadn't heard from the driver and loaders by 9:30 am on Thursday. At 9:30 am on Thursday, June 28 I called Covan because I had not heard from the driver. I was connected to the driver who told me he was gassing up the truck and would be there soon; the truck arrived at about 10:00 a.m. The driver told me he was aware of the additional truck (the mattress and rock wall truck) but did not know when it would arrive. Between one and two pm, the driver and his crew had loaded only about one-and-a-half wooden crates. I asked him if he would be able to finish the job that day and he assured me that he would not leave until the job was done. I was concerned because of the agonizingly slow pace and remarkable inefficiency of the load crew. They brought most -but not all--of the stuff from upstairs and packed it into a room downstairs. Then, they moved the items from downstairs to the driveway where the driver--and the driver only--loaded the crates. It was the slowest I have ever seen my household goods move from my home to the truck; it was agonizingly inefficient.Additionally, the pre-move inspection identified the requirement to move a piano. However, the movers never brought a piano dolly. This required the loaders to lift the piano, take a few steps, rest, lift, take a few steps, rest, and repeat until the piano was on the truck. This, again, was highly inefficient and increased the amount of time it took to load. I called Covan on Thursday June 28 at 2:29 pm and was told by the office person the extra truck would be returning to the warehouse in 45 minutes and would go to my house after that. At 5:29 pm no truck had arrived and no phone call to me had been made. I called Covan but the office was closed so I called the GM at 5:55 pm using the driver's cell phone. The GM said he was still working on the extra truck and may be sending out another crew and an additional truck to finish the job. The mattress/rock wall truck along with the extra truck and crew showed up just before 8:00 pm on Thursday 28 June. However, the mattress/rock wall truck did not bring any crating materials and had to return to the warehouse to get them. This truck got to my house at 9:40 pm, loaded at 10:30pm. read more

Horrible. Movers showed up almost 2 hours late and didn't listen to any of my instructions on how to make things easier for them to come to my place of residence. Haphazardly moved my items in and then did everything within their power to get me to sign my sheet as soon as possible so they could leave. When I told them I wanted them to unpack the boxes they looked at me like I'd just asked them to build Taj Mahal. To make things worse, every item was checked off, but then literally the moment they left I realized my Playstation 3 was gone. I'm 99% sure the movers stole it. When I brought this up with claims, they denied my claim and basically accused me of lying to them, even when I expressly pointed out how they did it. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could rate this company 0 stars, I would. Absolutely TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. Our goods were late being picked up and TWO weeks late being delivered. Many of our items were severely damaged during the move and two boxes full of expensive designer handbags and dress suits were missing from the shipment and still have not been found. There is not one single helpful employee or manager at this establishment, the unprofessionalism is APPALLING. This company is so terrible that I am not sure how they are in still business. If there is option to give zero star, I would. First, one person showed up packing so I had to help him pack large items. The next day, the company sent only one person again at 9:30am. Then, the company instructed him to leave my house to pack another job at 1:30pm. So, I called the company management about situation and was promised that another crew will be at my around 3:30pm. Whenever I called the company (every hour), I was told by the dispatcher that the crews are on their way. Now at 7:30pm, the crew still haven't showed up yet. Overall, the company is extremely bad. The customer is terrible (especially the dispatcher). The manager is awful. She doesn't even know why her crew left the job site and promised something she couldn't deliver. read more

I wish the military wasn't so money strapped these days, it would save a bunch of people from having to experience this company moving their belongings. Where to begin? Well they came around 12, and finished by 2pm! We had in total of 6 full crates that they packed up, where it should have taken them at least 4 hours to pack and load all our belongings. When they left my house, they left a huge full roll of packing paper and 20 empty packing tapes all around the house! Yes they were nice, but that does not substitute how terrible of a job they have done. When we finally got our house at our new duty station, we found that they mixed most of our stuff, and some things are still missing ie iPod, also one of our dresser's leg broke off, and our patio table shattered! And they also wrapped our LCD TVs with only paper and never put it in the box, when we opened the crate we found 1 of our LCD tv laid down in the crate! How horrible is that?! I could go on and on, but do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. read more

They had only one packer at our house for the majority of a three day job... And then flooded the job with more people when they were close to the deadline. On top of that, the office staff was rude and argumentative. Today was our packout and the crew they sent was amazing! They were so quick yet seemed like they actually did care about our things. It was amazing to me how tight they packed those containers! Of course we will see how things held up when we get to the other side, but what can you really expect when moving overseas? We did have one small mishap where one of the guys packed our car keys and spare house keys. We of course didn't notice until after they had left but after calling them, they quickly located the keys and we were able to get them back. read more

When I moved from KS to TX after my retirment from the military I scheduled the delvery date like I was instructed. The day came and went and I was told that I would be making 75 dollars a day until it was delivered. The day finnally came and my stuff was delivered however instead of properly takingg care of my shipment like they had done in the past the driver and his "crew" more or less took my stuff off of the truck and through in my hose damaging it. I had to argue with them team in order for them to honor thier end of the contract which is a one placememnt and debris removal from my house. Then to add insult to injury that same day they tried to blantanly steal a grill that was mine that was on the truck. This afternoon they were supposed to come by and finish the unpacking,,needless to say I am still looking at a room full of boxes and it seems to me that know wants to take responsiblity for the mess up.... read more

Covan moved us out in August. I wasn't pleased with them then, but after receiving our shipment, I am furious. 4 guys showed up with their manager to start packing us out. They said it would take 2 days to do the job. After the manager left, 3 of the guys also left. The guy that was left asked if he could play music in the garage. I said yes, which he took as permission to blast music in the rest of the house as well. When my 1 year old was ready for his nap, I asked the mover to turn down the music. He didn't, so I went to do it myself. The mover was moving my son's radio. I moved the radio to the room that was being packed and turned it back on to a normal level. The guy turned it way back up again, so I had to end up taking it away. When they said they were done, I did a walk-through and found they missed a ton of things. When I asked them to pack them up as well, (clothes, towels, an entire cabinet of dishes, curtains.) they started sighing and acting upset. When they left, we found packing supplies throughout the house, cigarette butts in the yard, food wrappers on top of the trash cans, and food splattered all over the trash can (I had just cleaned it the day before). Getting our shipment: The mover had taken apart everything that could be taken apart (including small kids toys). He did wrap all of the screws, but only labeled half of them, so we had to guess what went where. Many screws are missing. When he was taking apart an end table, he had taken a part out that was not supposed to be removed, cracking the wood when we tried putting it back in. He packed our very expensive computers upside down. No cords were kept in or even in the same box as any of the electronics. There was a box just of cords that were all tangled up. So far we have found cracked wine glasses, a bent rice cooker, broken figurines, and broken coasters. One box had thumb tacks in all the packaging and covering the bottom of the box. read more

All the good deeds this company had going for them were lost upon receiving our HHG at the final retirement destination. The movers (employees of Covan) stole items out of our shipment and knew exactly how to do it, so the customer would have not known a thing. We purchased BRAND NEW MATTRESSES for our retirement home, and we had them packed as I brought them from the mattresses store. The movers placed a blue tarp on one crate by the cab and draped it so it was covering the inside. conveniently, the twin mattress (still in the plastic mind you) never showed up on Hawaii Island 7 days later. The foreman obviously needed a new mattress for his kids. I would have appreciated much more if he had come out and told me it would be gone on the far end...in terms of the employees, it all started out WRONG when an employee was traveling in the CRATE into the base and security called them out on it. Obviously he was either on furlough or had bad papers...base security at my quarters, phone calls, neighbors....didn't sign up for that rodeo COVAN. Then, they switched foreman on us between the 3 day pack out. Weak. Continuity guys, get your act together. Overall, the mattress stolen ruined all the good natured and well mannered crew we did have. Lesson on us, learn from our mistake. Position yourself directly at the firkin crate and watch how every crate it loaded. Period. Do not get complacent like I did. Eyes and Ears folks. Watch out. read more

EPIC TRAGIC FAIL!!!!! We PCSed from Norfolk VA to Sigonella IT. Covan was contracted by the navy to perform our pack out. They were scheduled to arrive between 12pm-5pm. At 510pm I called to ask where they were. I was told their previous job was larger than expected but they were on the way. At 550pm they arrived and two women proceeded to begin packing up my 2900sf house. They came back the next day and "finished" packing. The movers arrived the following day. They did not have enough crates and had to call for another truck to finish the move. They were at my home until 1030pm. I was not given the opportunity to sign any of the seals prior to the truck leaving. Fast forward to Sigonella.....We have the largest amount of damage I have ever had in 15 years of military moves. They somehow cracked my daughter's loft bed down the middle; we assume due to the two flat screen TVs that were stacked on top. We also have two broken dining room chairs where they just decided not to remove all of the legs and they snapped. We have four other pieces broken and my husband's professional camera is missing. More than 1/3 of our things did not have stickers and the hardware box wasn't even made. We had loose bolts, nails and screws all in the crates, to the level that neither the unloaders nor I could even figure out what went where. The Italian unpackers kept asking, "no boxes in America?!" This was a military PCS move from Hawaii to San Antonio. Upon leaving Hawaii, Covan took a day and a half to pack our belongings. They were scheduled to use 3 days. They showed up on Thursday, October the 22nd, 2015, 2 hours late with only 2 guys. The first guy mostly talked on his phone, left and then came back a few hours later just to talk on his phone some more and leave again, leaving the second guy to pack all by himself. All in all, they were there for about 2-3 hours before the 1st guy showed back to inform us that they both had to leave for another job. We had pretty much the same experience early the second day, though they at least showed up in the morning this time. Again, the 2nd guy was doing most the packing while the first guy did some and talked and stood around a lot. Then somewhere around 3:00pm they sent in a crew of about 8 guys who haphazardly threw things in boxes and then made a slide of boxes to push our boxes ( with our dissembled large furniture) down the stairs. Needless to say, we have many dents and chunks missing from our furniture and missing screws upon arrival here. We also have many items missing and an inventory sheet that was completely misnumbered so we are completely confused what box numbers to search or claim. Seems like they rushed through it trying to finish early on that Friday, the 23rd when the job was scheduled to finish on Monday the 26th. We had to call them to come back and pick up items on that Monday they didn't bother to pack like shoes, shower curtain rods, our porch mats, and small trash cans. My husband spoke to Corey, their manager, about this and he apologized, though nothing was done. read more

This is the worst moving company I have ever worked me. I move every two years with my military career. You can say I am an expert. They are given a certain amount of time to move your items under contract. I tried to contact them and get an update on my shipment in transit. The only reply I got was that they had until the end date to deliver it and it is on its way. They waited to the day before I was suppose to receive my shipment to tell me that it was not on its way and that they are still trying to find someone to deliver it. They offered $500 inconvenience fee. I asked when can they deliver. The did not know. I told them that I could not accept an amount without knowing how much it would inconvenience me. They were over a month late. A great deal of my furniture was missing. Could not get a straight answer from them other than some finger pointing. I asked for guidance on the reimbursable expenses. Got no help there. I sent them my recipes, and they claim that they are not itemized. As if i can control the merchant and their receipt process. They do not care about you or taking responsibility for any loss or inconvenience. read more

I wouldn't even give these people a star. Hate them they smashed every box, broke or dented everything we owned do not use them. Our next move we will be moving ourselves, if I wanted my stuff broken I would have done it myself. read more

I would give minus stars if I could. Possibly the worst moving company in the world. DO NOT USE. No kidding! They make promises of guaranteed delivery dates with no intention to keep. The move took 6 weeks from pickup to delivery. Was suppose to be 2 weeks. Many many items broken, furniture broken and missing. Excuse after excuse, no accountability. Furniture went first to a warehouse in another city (we were not told that would happen). It sits until they find a driver and other items going to the same location as you to save money. The ladies that packed were awful. Packed breakable items under heavy items so all those items were broken. Packed breakables in light weight single thin piece of tissue (think toilet tissue weight). They said in documentation that much of our items were broken when they picked up! Most of our items were new wedding gifts and I can assure you we're not broken before. They lie, cheat and professional is not in their vocabulary. You have been warned!!!!!! read more

okay , so the movers are here now, LOL.! yes i just had to sit here and type this . ! such a breath of fresh air. yesterday i had M.dyer & sons move my HHG (military move) & boy they were so rude and unprofessional, and one of the guys broke my damn bed after i told him 3 times how to take it apart (yes its a bit confusing) my husband and i were furious, i wish i would have remembered their names but then again they were so unwelcoming that im glad i didn't anyway this isnt about them . i had very low hopes after yesterday. but today Covan moved my UB and they were very professional and nice, the time was set for 11-3 and they came at 9am, i was happy because i did not want to sit in the house all day waiting for the movers, they introduced their selves, asked questions and even spoke to me using my name or ma'am which i doubt dyer and sons even knew it. anyway thank you covan for the exceptional service. i think the guys name were DJ, shalom and jarrell. ;). read more
