I love this place. Love it. Probably my favorite breakfast stop if/when I'm in Naples. It's so nice to be in a real old school basic breakfast place. No frills, no downtown Naples high end nonsense, just great food that's actually affordable compared to anywhere else in the area. Service is great. Had a quick breakfast this morning before checking out of the hotel. This is a tiny restaurant with just a few tables and a small counter that also seats a couple. Service was quick, friendly enough. Breakfast came out quickly and super fresh. The eggs were cooked just right (soft scrambled as we requested), the bacon was crisp, the hash browns were perfectly crispy on the outside and the pancakes were really good as well. The place was packed with what appeared to be locals and tourists. One negative, they don't accept any "plastic", aka credit cards. We would definitely return if we make it back to Naples. read more

Perfect spot for an easy, good breakfast on checkout day from the cove inn. Small spot that seems to be really popular as there was a short wait but lots of people were waiting. We saw they were award winning and their pancakes were really popular. We tried them and they were genuinely great. Thin pancakes with perfect flavor. We also asked for crispy bacon and soft scrambled eggs with cheese and both were exactly how we wanted them. Food came out quick and staff was helpful and knew the menu top to bottom when we needed guidance on what to order. Heads up, they don't take "plastic" so no credit cards; only check, cash or room charge and the room charge has 20% tip included automatically. read more

I've been here a couple of times. The food is pretty good. The host at the door is terrible. It's a small dining room and they are often on a wait. However there were several parties that arrived after ours that were seated before us. Maybe they were regulars, but it's still irritating to be pasted over. When I mentioned that a party that arrived after us sat before us to the host, I was told "that doesn't mean anything, be patient." The whole operation just seems unfair and unfriendly. read more

We have been using reviews to find good places to eat. As you probably guessed I'm a foodie. My generation is not used to taking pictures of everything, so I've been struggling with that. I still haven't finished my reviews of LA from August 2021. That being said I'm making this trip to Naples, Florida different by getting reviews done quickly. This morning we drove over to the Cove Inn Coffee Shoppe, located at the Cove Inn! A little dining area inside the lobby. This is a cash only business. Sadly, no view, it's old school with the cook banging out orders rapidly right there in front of you. We met a nice couple from NJ, it was nice to chat with our peeps. My wife actually got hash browns with her eggs and bacon! I had the Boaters Bounty with sausage. It's consists of 2 pancakes, and 1 XL egg. Service is very attentive and coffee is good. The pancakes were almost crepe like, thin and absent of a buttermilk quality. They reminded me of the ones we made on the plug in griddle when I was a wee lad way before cellphones, the internet, and even VHS tapes. (If you don't know what that is ask your history professor). Overall very pleasant experience, but we will continue to search for the ultimate killer breakfast. We fly back to NJ tomorrow. read more

The coffee shop is nicely tucked into a corner of the Cove Inn with simple decor and a Northeast vibe; my friend from Long Island said she felt at home. The servers go out of their way to make you feel at home, eager to fill the coffee and strike up a conversation. Food flows out of the kitchen at a rapid rate. We tried a bit of everything and was extremely satisfied with how everything tasted (see photos). It's cozy, clean, and friendly; perfect for a breakfast. Our server was very good, friendly, and efficient. The downfall was the food. I had a chipped beef plate with a type of gravy on it. The dish was very bland. It was like eating some beef bits in a soup of paste. I would not order this dish nor recommend it. I am surprise they even keep it on the menu. My girlfriend had French toast, which was "okay" as she described it. There was nothing special about it. It is very small inside so it gets crowded quickly, especially on the weekends. We enjoyed breakfast here one morning and the service was great. They are located in the Cove Inn lobby which is very convenient. A great local breakfast spot that is known for their delicious pancakes. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage and it was okay. One of the best parts about having breakfast here is being able to take your coffee to go. A very warm and homey atmosphere with a lot of history. I loved the table settings with a drawing of Naples with everything on the map. The location is right on the dock which is wonderful. Close to the pool as well. The food is great. The service could be better from the servers. The cooks are phenomenal, except one draw back. I notice that the older one never washes his hands after scratching his face, hair, genital area, coughing or after picking his nose. I witnessed a customer order toast and walked out after asking him to put on gloves before making her order. And he refused to put on gloves that she requested. He looked at her like she was from another planet. I noticed that they have a new girl she is clean and cares about customers she washes her hands after handling raw meat.
