My husband was looking for new work safety boots, in particular Brunt Boots. We had ordered a pair…read moreof Brunts online that didn't fit. We found that there were two local retailers who sold Brunt Boots. We went to the first retailer and they had Brunt Boots but didn't have the style my husband was looking for. He was over trying on a bunch of boots and was ready to give up. I told him there was one more retailer close by that we could check. Right when we walked into Purpose Built I lived the layout and vibe. My husband a blue collar engineer, so when I started to see all the shirts with logos and imagery tailored towards labors I immediately feel in love. There's even a small area for young kids to play while parents are shopping. He found his boots and the young lady who assisted him was very helpful giving feedback on the boots. He ended up getting a totally different pair than he set out to get. We grabbed a couple of shirts and fun sticker decals, he grabbed an one extra for his Chief. Overall, the Americana feel and the support for laborers, blue collar union workers was awesome. We will definitely be going back. And best of all, my husband loves his Boots!!

No women's workwear…read more As a woman who works in the union trades I was really disappointed for how much hype this store has... The men's department was exactly what you'd expect from a workwear store. Ariat, Thorogood, Carhartt, rain gear, hard hats, and plenty of actual jobsite clothing. Then I walked over to the women's section. Instead of comparable workwear, it was mostly lifestyle apparel cropped shirts, fashion pieces, and stuff that gave the "blue collar look" rather than women who actually spend 8-12 hours working on a construction sites. Women electricians, plumbers, ironworkers, welders, mechanics, and laborers need durable, functional work clothes just as much as men do. Brands like Ariat came great FR women's gear, you have brands like Dovetail which I've seen other stores carry. If you're going to market yourselves as a workwear store, I'd love to see the women's department stocked with the same seriousness and variety as the men's, not just stuff women wear to look cool. I really wanted to support this business, but I left feeling like the women's side was an afterthought.

Decided to take a gaze and check out Theory as previously I had known that this is a higher end…read morestore and the wife of my best friend would always stop in and usually come out with something. At any rate I entered the Lion's Den of customers looking for 4th of July bargains and behold they had solid soft knit Polo shirts selling for $59 from $125 and they had my size and color that I liked. My son also purchased a similar one but since they did not have his size they found it at another store and it would be shipped to his address. Cashier with the stylish mini handlebar mustache provided great service and quickly handled each customer at checkout. So in theory- Theory will now be my place to stop in moving forward to look for great bargains such as what I got today.

I like the clothes but there is like less than 10 ppl in the store (half of it being staff) yet…read morethey intentionally try to build a line by not letting people in while they fold clothes. It's really annoying - management please address this! Not appropriate to keep ppl waiting for sake of waiting. Not efficient and upsetting. People in line are leaving too because of the frustration. It's the opposite of customer service, the staff is doing things that's convenient and easiest for them instead of for the customers. Change the policy of not letting people in, at least allow 25 ppl or something... it looks bad when your store is empty and you are forcing ppl to wait outside!
