And so very appreciated, the bond building they have started and hopefully continue in the community is such a breath of fresh air under this new leadership and team! We have made multiple visits this year to get back in and fine tune our veggie, fruit, herb, and floral gardening this year! Most recently a purchase during their 20% off sale this late summer my husband went in to purchase a Rainer Cherry Tree, even though they did not have one in stock they got one under a weeks time and still gave us the discount! Before this management the late summer sales were mostly to purge before the next coming season. The vigilance to customers now is astounding! The new ownership has really turned this place around! I visited over the weekend and was blown away! First of all the sheer variety of plants available is staggering and they're all healthy and beautifully displayed. They even have the greenhouses open to the public now with a fantastic assortment of blooming annuals. This has always been a hidden gem of a neighborhood nursery, but now it's next level! Great nursery! You can tell they care about their plants. And they are very knowledgeable about their plants which I really appreciate. I thought the prices were very reasonable. The displays were cute and gave me excellent ideas for my indoor and outdoor plants. I purchased a wreath on my last visit here and the smell just gives me goosebumps. First time visiting and was pleasantly surprised how close it is to where we live. They have a great selection of plants, trees, shrubs, etc. I like how oranized they are and even have a separate area for indoor plants. Lots of gift ideas on display as well as actual plant/flower arrangements and garden decor. They also have sitting areas and a kids play area. Prices are reasonable. Lots of parking. read more

I am a collector of uncommon house plants. This is basically a landscaping company. I can't speak to that, but if you're looking for house plants, they say they have a good selection on the phone but that is not the truth. They have about a dozen pots of a bromeliad and a couple dozen succulents, all very common. No foliage houseplants. They actually need to stay out of the house plant business. Stick to what you're good at. Judging from the selection of outdoor plants and shrubs and trees, you likely excel at outdoor landscaping. Don't make someone drive thirty miles to see your "great selection" of houseplants. You don't have that. But now I know. I would have taken a photo but the plants are in a dark room and you can barely see them. read more

Anthem construction, a major part of this business, abruptly quit today, November 8, 2020. They thus defaulted on a long term agreement to accomplish two projects for me for which I had been waiting 7 months. As recently as two weeks ago I was told I was on the schedule. Regardless of reason, this is no way to treat a 17-year faithful customer. I am now severely in the lurch and effectively a year behind on my work. My goal now is to tell everyone I can how unethical and inconsiderate these people are. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism. I suggest that no one, no one, purchase from these people. Life should have consequences. Covington Creek certainly deserves some now. Work with them at your risk. I promise you you will be sorry. read more

Bought a dogwood tree from them last year. I asked if there was a guarantee, they said no, but assured me as long as I watered and cared for it the tree would do well. I paid for them to come out and plant the tree - they told me they'd make sure the soil was amended if necessary, and everything would be wonderful. They're polite. They're timely. They're nice. They came out when they said they would and did a great job planting the tree. Later on that season, the tree started getting black spots all over the leaves. I went back to the nursery with a picture. They sold me some fungicide and said to spray it. I did. Faithfully. Next season - the tree is flowering, but it again has black pots, this time on the flowers. Some of the branches seem to be dead. I haven't the faintest idea what disease the tree has, but it obviously has some sort of disease. I'm disapointed - I chose a variety of dogwood that was supposedly resistant to disease and suited for the northwest. It's possible it isn't their fault. I'm not a tree expert. But I'm not thrilled to buy a tree, pay to have it planted, and the thing immediately winds up with some sort of fatal fungus. Probably won't go back. read more

I am so disappointed with this place. The first time I came I wandered around for a half an hour. I could not find a single employee to help me. I even called the phone line to see if someone could come out and help me but no one answered. When I got home, they called me back and the lady explained that they had been short staffed. I understand the challenges many small businesses are facing with staffing shortages, so I decided to give them another chance. I showed up and a flustered looking gal asked me if there was something specific I needed help with and I asked for a specific shrub. She pointed vaguely to the far corner of the nursery and said it's over there. Again I wandered all over the place and couldn't find it. She never bothered to follow up or to show me where the product is. Again I left without being helped. This nursery is literally a minute from my house but I guess I will have to travel further to get anyone to help me. Fred Meyer's garden center has way better customer service than this place. I would have spent quite a bit here getting my garden ready but they obviously can't be bothered to help their customers. read more

I called one morning (and they answered even though they were not open yet) with an urgent need for some flowers and a tree to be delivered to a family member that had just experienced a great loss. I had hoped to have some plants delivered that same day which would allow the family member to spend some time in the yard planting to begin the mourning and healing process. The proprietors took my request and did something that blew me away. They made it personal. They selected special plants and drove to the family members residence (I assume they closed their shop to do this) hugged them, explained what made each plant special and told them where in their yard to plant each one. You never know where you will find an angel but these wonderful people were angels to me and the family member. They provided a hug when I could not be there to give it. I will be forever grateful for the compassion, love and care shown in a time of great sadness and loss. Human kindness is not extinct it lives at this nursery. read more

I stopped by for the first time last week and was wowed by the inventory and set up. In addition, Matt was incredibly helpful in talking about which trees would meet our needs. We purchased several plants for a hedge last year, within two weeks three started to die. I went back to the nursery and they gave advice on care, had me put my name and plant info on a clipboard and was told I would be taken care of. A week later two more died. when I spoke with the owner about the plants she told me they were "delicate plants" and nothing would be done. It sure would have been nice to be told that info when I was purchasing. Not a cheap lesson, will never go back read more
