If you love pastor tacos, you need to check this truck out. I've had pastor tacos from plenty of trucks in the area and I think they are doing it best. The flavor is phenomenal and their salsa options are quite unique. One of the flavors seemed like a chipotle aioli which had great flavor and had a nice spice to it. Other taco trucks claim they are serving asada when it's actually milanesa. This truck is actually serving asada however, my only complaint is I wish it was minced vs. cubed because it was a tad bit chewy. The asada still had great flavor. My son also loved his Horchata and I loved my Jamaica. I would definitely recommend supporting this small business. One thing I also appreciated is they accept Zell, Venmo or cash. The QR codes and info are easy to find so there is no confusion on how to pay. read more

For the last year, this has been my go to spot for tacos. We've tried almost all trucks in the area, but none can compete with Covyd Tacos. It was a sad time when they used to split nights between La Puente and San Bernardino, so I'm super happy to consistently have them around the corner when in town visiting family. My go to order is Al pastor tacos. I have also tried the asada, burritos, and mini mulita, but the tacos are king. If I'm hungry, I will put down six tacos no problem and they are loaded full of meat. I love the self-serve salsas and toppings so that I can smother the tacos to my liking. They have an avocado salsa, a green, orange, and red/brown. All 3 salsas are good and different. I always change up the combinations of salsa I use - you can't go wrong. They have a couple aguas, but the pina was recently just juice with no pulp, rather than blended pina that they've done before. They're parked just outside crazy rockin sushi so there is plenty of parking in the lot or on the street. They used to have plastic chairs and tables, but I haven't seen them in a while. It's convenient to pay cash or via apps like zelle or venmo. The word is spreading about this place, so check them out soon before we have to start waiting in a long line. read more

Covyd Tacos used to be one of the best taco spots in the area. Unfortunately my last several stops have been terrible. Last Wednesday, my family and I dropped by for dinner. The beans in the burritos were burned and it had very little meat. I threw the burrito away because the beans made the burrito taste awful. The quality of the asada meat has not been the same for the last year or so. The chicken sometime is dry or hard. Lately the orders taken are not correct. It's always missing something-cilantro, onion, etc. The portion of the meat has gotten smaller as compared to before. It's one of the most expensive stands in the area. This place has the best tacos in the san gabriel valley. Moved here from LA 2 years ago and been on a search for some good quality, authentic tacos and this place is it. I have tried their quesadilla, mulitas, carne asade & pastor tacos & burritos. They're all good but hands down, my favorite is the pastor tacos. The pastor tacos are very flavorful, thick and decent size. I compared their tacos to other places and Covyd Tacos are legit and much higher quality. It is not greasy and very meaty. They don't skimp on the meat. I love the pineapple pieces they add to the pastor tacos. Yum! Their carne asada is tasty too...it has that grilled, smoky flavor and very tasty. I found out that the owners are brothers and created Covyd Tacos when times were tough during the pandemic. They are the nicest guys and hard working. Not only are the tacos pretty darn good but you can tell these guys put their heart and soul into their food with pride. I will post photos next time.
