Low on the frills, but high on the flavor and value! Just make sure to remember to bring cash. The tacos here are really delicious. The seasonings or the way they cook - the flavors and textures are better than a lot of other places I've had tacos from. I got two carne asada and two al pastor tacos. Total as of early 9/2025 was just $10 for four tacos! We came here on a weeknight a little before they were packing up for the night, so the vibe was chill. They also have a good spread of salsas and a DIY fresh toppings area. I just found this taco stand in East Hollywood because I was leaving a comedy show and it was on the later side. Most places were either closed or closing. Saw this place and it seemed perfect for a quick bite that wasn't a big strain on the wallet. Maybe there's more of a line on the weekends, but if not, this is the type of spot where I wouldn't be surprised if there's a constant line at some point. read more

The al pastor was really good here. I tried the tacos and the burrito. The al pastor gets grilled again to get that extra char flavor. The line was pretty quick and there's plenty of taco options to satisfy any cravings. My only issue with this place was that the salsas were super spicy. The standard green salsa was extremely spicy compared to the many other green salsas I've had at other taco stands. I do enjoy my tacos with some good salsas, so I'm hoping that the green salsa won't be crazy spicy next time I get tacos here. read more

Stopped at this taco stand on Halliburton Road in Hacienda Heights, and was glad I did. Ordered the carne asada street tacos - they were delicious. They also offer chicken and al pastor, with your choice of condiments. They also have a full setup with beans, rice and your choice of salsas. My buddy recommended me this place as he knows I love me some sidewalk Mexican food. I know that does not sound very appealing but it totally is. Also, whenever I drive by this place, they always have a long line of people so I knew I had to try it eventually. Just a quick little reminder, these guys only do cash. I ordered a lengua quesadilla and lucky for me, It was ten dollars flat which was all the money I had in my wallet. If I had more money, i would have tipped them because these guys were really busting their ass. I mean the line was down the street after i got my food. I loved the blaring banda music they had bumping the whole time I was there. It was a nice touch haha. They have a section for salsa, cucumbers and peppers which is always greatly appreciated. I will be honest, neither the quesadilla nor the salsas stood out to me but I still enjoyed them nonetheless. The review is for the taco stand on Ball and Norwalk. They are generally open 4pm til 11pm or around that time. Depends on the day. The lowdown - Pretty good $2.50 tacos. Full salsa, veggie options. Quick and good service . This place is always busy. The Al Pastor here are chopped up and more on the crispier side instead of Al Pastor slices. They don't put pineapple slices on it either. It's still good though, just a matter of preference. The carne asada tacos are good too. Both all well seasoned and flavorful. Bonus tip: There's a stand on the same block down the way closer to Norwalk that sells churros. You get six half sized ones for $5. They are fantastic. read more

Incredible. They're set up on Norwalk and wardlow/ball most afternoons. The red sauce.....second to none. They do charcoal char on their asada. Once you eat here you'll never go anywhere else. The tacos. The torta. The burrito. I should have reviewed months and months ago because I'm here once a week and keep coming back. Beyond the food this cart is an asset to the neighborhood. The line is frequented by everyone, anyone. The tacos and burritos are universally loved and you'll see a slice of LA every time you go. Seeing how Hacineda Heights will be my new hood, I have seen these guys while driving around but I finally got to try the food! I'm no stranger to street meat and this place was solid! Got the carne asada and al pastor which are my go to's meats. They didn't have suadero nor carnitas. Very friendly and compassionate staff as a homeless guy in a wheelchair tried to buy food with like $.50 but they made him a small plate for free so that impressed me (even though I was about to offer to pay for his food). $2 street tacos located on the corner of Halliburton and Hacienda Blvd, usually parked on Halliburton (the Vons Plaza and in front of Popping Yolk) They've been at this spot regularly for about 2 years at least, during the weekend evenings, and Friday late nights. (Not here during Tuesdays nights when I last checked). They make really good cabeza and langua, which is my default at their stand. others like their pork and beef. They also do burritos and sandwiches. Service is fast. They take cash and Zelle. They are quite known in the area with a line forming regularly. My friends and I have been a regular at this place for quite a long time and surprised they are not on Yelp. Perhaps they had a business name change and or also do street vending on several locations throughout different days of the week. Not sure, but this spot is one of two regular street tacos stops we'd go to by default in Hacienda Heights for a late night snack. I asked the guy where's their menu and he says they don't have one. Really good tacos! I've been here 3 separate times and have only gotten the carne asada, pollo, lengua, and al pastor meats. All of these meat options were delicious in both tacos and burritos. They have a generous condiment station with cilantro/onions, spicy pickled onions, and a few different salsas. They rotate out their drink jugs/jugos and I've had their horchata, mango, and jamaica - all really good! My only complaint is their beans and rice. I would stay away from these sides as they are dry and definitely could be improved upon. read more

Our secret late night snack we get after the kids go to bed. Carne asada and Al Pastor are our favorites. Their sauces are delicious. It tastes better than the taco truck next to Nogales High school that was hyped up as well. We tried both popular trucks but this one tops them. This stand seems to be there a lot, so I created a Yelp page for them. Not 100% sure about their hours and days, but I typically don't see them before 4pm. Cash and venmo only. Drove by this stand so many times, usually seeing a long line, and finally tried it today. People usually line up for a reason. The food is good and portions are huge. The $10 asada burrito is a LOT of food. They have several options, primarily tacos and burritos. The usual choices of asada, pollo, carnitas, as well as some more exotic ones. Rice and beans available as well. The line moves quickly enough and I could see the ordering process being overwhelming for some customers. Be ready to do a good amount of self-serving. For instance, if you want cilantro and onions in your burrito, they will hand you the open tortilla to add your desired amount, then you hand it back for them to wrap it. Salsa and condiments are all self-serve. Definitely going back when the craving hits. read more

Al pastor here is soo good. They stacked the meat too. Was only able to eat 3 tacos and bf only ate half his portable. Their torta is nice cause they don't add sour cream to it. You get what you paid for & some, I've had the Asada, Pastor, Cabeza, they are all good, my personal favorite is the Pastor followed by the asada. I could not recommend this place more. Great food! I had been here several times before I convinced my sister to try it. My sister asked for a asada burrito. When the gentleman made it we all noticed he put pastor and asada. My sister told him that she ordered asada. She didn't even know "mixto" was an option. The guy was visibly upset and threw away all the contents inside the burrito and made her a new one begrudgingly. He Didn't say a word. I haven't been back since. It's a shame because the food is really good. This is what he could've said " no se preocupe senorita ahorita le hacemos otro" simple. Just moved here and found out new fav taco spot. Wish they were open for lunch too but we love that they are open late night. They give you a healthy amount of meat, and the hot sauce is savory and delicious. We love the al pastor and carne asada tacos and also tried the asada/pastor quesadilla. I go to the one in cypress. Ball and Norwalk. Literally the best tasting tacos around. They'd knock out half the tacos set up in LA or LB. They're always cooking their meat outside, getting that nice smoky flavor that you want out of the meat. Don't skip the salsas either. Super good! Do skip the drinks tho, they're mid.
