I tried the Carne Asada Burrito ($12.40) with rice and beans, and a small bag of chips. It was big and well-seasoned. What a surprise it was to me to come in here and be greeted and received with such kindness. I showed up with my son to purchase a breakfast burrito and some soup for my 3 year old son. The older man who took my order made me a breakfast burrito after arriving way past 11am and he also brought me a small bowl of soup although they only sell them in large portions. I placed a big ordered, I did make certain requests/notes in the Uber eats app. When I received my order, almost everything was incorrect or inedible. The chicken taquitos were soggy & very unappetizing, could not warm them up to taste better. I also ordered an echiliada plate where no where in the description did it say there was pico gallo, because I cannot have spicy everything touching the pico de gallo was inedible as well. Food was delicious. Wife had chicken soup, I had taquitos and meat burrito (asada). Taquitos we're fresh, almost flauta style. Little small, but delicious and fresh. Wife loved the soup. Burritos are super thin. Definitely not worth the price. Mostly tortilla and egg. Thats not the worst part either. I came to pick up my order and while waiting in line. I watched a lady prepare a pozole or menudo dish. The guacamole is not that, it's AGUA-mole, watered down guacamole. I'm never over on this side of town; which is disappointing because it's where Taquisa is! A coworker told me about Taquisa and invited me to try it the other day. He was talking about how authentic it is and how the food is good home cooking - just like momma used to make! Being rather unfamiliar with the cuisine I asked him and another coworker for some recommendations and they both suggested Birria (after explaining to me what it is..). Taquisa makes their Birria with beef, instead of goat meat which is also used, and after describing the dish to me I knew it was something I had to try. Five words: Fall off the bone amazing! The meat was so perfect and tender. It was delicious! Taquisa served a healthy portion complete with rice, beans, and corn tortillas. After squeezing some lemon onto the Birria and digging in I fell in LOVE! Customer service was spot on and incredibly friendly. I love the fact that this is a family run place. My boyfriend order a meat burrito and i had chicken enchiladas. Unfortunately, we both got a severe case of diarrhea that night and thru the next day. YES, I ordered Two Tacos de Carne Asada they serve it with meat, onion, cilantro and your salsa is on the side. The red salsa was hot but not the greatest flavor, tortillas were not bad, the Carne Asada was OK cooked well no fat, no gristle but...probably cooked on a flat top? by looking at the coloring and lack of that extra asada flavor.
