The good part of this meal was the service. Our server was good. The meal itself was not good. We had jalapeño cheese curds that were good if you like plain curds. Hardly any spice and no jalapeño flavor. We also had the sunnies, which we normally love. They tasted like muddy farmed catfish. First time visiting this Otsego location. Conveniently located on HWY 101 just north of Rogers. Perfect for any northwest burb residents. The decor is a carbon copy of the other locations as to be expected. Sat at the bar. Bartender greeted me quickly but was very short, not very personable. I wouldn't say rude or bad, just not great. I came on a Wednesday to specifically try their $3 burger special and decided to grab some wings as well since the burger was so cheap. The burger was, well, terrible. Frozen patty on a dry, stale bun. I will credit the patty was cooked to a nice medium. I added bacon and jalapenos for a small addition cost and I definitely suggest paying a little more to add toppings. I did the Scorpion Dry Rub wings. The rub was really nice and had a good firm spice to it. The wings themselves were tiny, overcooked, dry and tough. Just not good. At all. Also asked for bleu cheese and got ranch. Overall I would probably, maybe, possibly come back for the burger special on another Wednesday but that's about it. Would not do the wings again nor suggest them. read more

The food was awful. We ordered a kids cheeseburger meal which consisted of a single slider burger. A two year old would not have been full. The sweet potato fries were burnt and just tasted of oil the regular french fries were bland and the quesadillas were subpar at best. Maybe an off day but yikes, won't be returning. read more

ATM constantly out, managers don't care and say they're not a bank. This may be true however managing a bar that has etabs or pulltabs, you would think they'd want to keep this loaded. The hot buffalo wings are very good. I would recommend going on Tuesday's as they have a bucket of wings special for about $12.00 which is a heck of a deal. We went here for a birthday celebrate with part of 8. The wait for the table on a Sat night wasn't terrible. But it did take FOREVER to get our food. Our waitress was prompt with our drinks and getting our food order but getting the food took too long. Food was hot and good. They did let me substitute the buffalo sauce on the Prairie Fire Burger, for their Chipotle Ranch sauce. So good! I think I'd go back on a night that wasn't so busy. read more

Came out to try out this bar due to all the hype and let me tell you nothing close too it. Where do I start.... We came in with a group of 3 and asked for a table, wait for about 10 minutes nobody came back so we went to the bar. Oh btw the place was not full at all. At the bar we sat down got 2 drinks ordered food then ordered another drink due to my meal. When I tried getting another one the bar tender said I was cut off??!??? Never in my life...... I am not typically the fan of chain restraints. So when a friend wanted to meet in Elk River at a place called cowboy jacks I didn't have high hopes. I moved here from California a few months ago and driving to Elk River I began to wonder what I had gotten myself into. Finding a new restarting that was laid out nicely was a surprise. It is in a new development and looks like a typical cowboy saloon. I got a table easily and after glancing at the menu settled on buffalo chicken wraps and a burger for my friend. The food came quickly and the staff was really helpful keeping our drinks full the entire time. It's not craft style food and I would still pick a local flavor in a heartbeat but if I am back in Elk River I'll hit up Cowboy Jacks again! read more

Worst evening ever. went there tonight to celebrate my daughter's fiance's birthday. We waited about a half hour for a table just like the hostess said. no problem. My granddaughter came with us, and announced to the waitress that she has a severe dairy allergy and if she could check to see if the hamburger buns were dairy free. we ordered our drinks and also our meals. My granddaughter ordered a turkey burger with lettuce and pickle. she reminded the waitress about her severe dairy allergy again and we still needed to find out about the buns. When she got her turkey burger it was smothered in cheese. We sent it back. when the new turkey burger came out it had no bun, but again was smothered in cheese. it was brought out by the manager this time. We sent it back again and told them to forget it, she'll go to Jimmy John's. We asked to see the manager to discuss how poor our service was. My daughter who didn't eat until her daughter got her food was angry and thought our meals should have been no charge. the manager didn't agree and charged us $96.00. We'll never go back there, they don't care about severe food allergies. My granddaughter carries an eppi pen that she'd use to save her life from anaphylactic shock. If you have food allergies don't go to this restaurant. The manager said she looked ok when she left. she went somewhere else to eat. read more

Love the place. S little confused on the website information and the actual operating hours. Example. We waited til happy hour to start and arrived at the start time, immediately was told the kitchen will be closing in 3 minutes and if we can get the order in things would be served. Well that worked but after getting the bill noticed the price was not at the happy hour special price. How is it that they can change up the operating hours and the pricing at a moments notice without the notice? We hope to be back but will hope to get this straightened out quickly. read more

The food is always good here. The host stand is always super friendly, professional and very hard working . I am not sure what happened to the customer service after we sat but we had Emily and she was terrible. It took a good 15 min to get water and the host saw we were sitting and got us water. Our waitress finally came and took our drink order then disappeared. We had to flag her down for drinks and to put in our food order. In the mean time we are watching all the rest of the wait staff hustle from one table to another getting everyone what they needed. We finally got drinks and our food and then didn't see her for another 30 min. We wanted more water and more drinks but after waiting for so long we made a choice to leave. It took her forever to get us the bill and I was honestly worried if I would ever see my card again the way things were going. Stopped in to check out the place and upon walking in a group of employees just stood at the host stand staring at us so we had to find our own seats once we sat at the bar the bartender had and attitude, walked around then gave us our drinks, no menus but she made sure to greet all her friends and rush over drinks and menus to them regardless of repeat customer or new customers they should be treated the same no one favorite over the other. We paid for our drinks then I walked around and grabbed a booth and asked some random server to help us which she was happy too I forgot her name but she was training and doing a great job even though the bartender was being a B to her. I could here what was being said and she shouldn't talk to people that way or even talk about the customers coming in and ones who are already there. IT WAS NOT BUSY JUST NO TIME MANAGEMENT. No manager in sight, cooks hanging out by beverage station when i had already ordered something, so we ended up not eating paying for our drinks and tipped the server who was busy but excited to take us. Another being from Chicago, IL trying out new Franchise since moving to Victoria, MN and finding work here. I would suggest to try their Signature Burgers in Kettle Chips in Bison Meat! It was delicious. My co-worker's took me here to try for the end of Labor Day week and I have to say I was impressed for Bison Hamburger's @ $12.75 with tax. It was only $1 more than the Angus beef which is good too I think but I always aim for more exotic and unusual things to eat. The restaurant had a old west ambiance for it being a Franchise. They had steaks too that we're not that expensive @ $19+ tip which I will try again since there is no Franchise like this in Chicago and it's suburbs. We have a franchise that does serve Bison Burgers called "Fuddruckers" but they charge $16+ dollars to order the Bison or Elk Burger which was expensive. Horrible. From the service to the food. The waitress who brought my husband his chicken wings argued with him when he told her he ordered it with sauce not a dry rub. It turns out they brought the wrong order to our table, because within twenty seconds another waitress comes to our table with the correct order of wings. There was a hair in my dad's chili, which we promptly returned. The rest of the food was just ok. Place was pretty dirty. Will not be back. Came in on a Friday night, place was at less than 1/2 capacity. Sat for 20 minutes before placing food order, and they forgot part of the order. Took 20+ minutes for one of the 3 servers that "switched" sections to come check on us. Politely asked if they could remove the items we never received from the tab and that everything else was fine. Minutes later the manager came over with serious attitude, blaming me for her server being upset. She ended up calling me an arrogant asshole and said they have plenty of paying patrons and it wasn't their fault for the screwup. This place just opened and it meets my expectations of what the "Cowboy" restaurants/bars are known for: country-like feel, peanut shells on the floor, lots of flat screen TV's, great selection of happy hour drinks/appetizers, (4-6p and after 9p $2 beers and half price apps) and a friendly staff to boot. Went for the first time with a girlfriend on a Friday night. Arrived around 8p and the place was PACKED--hour and a half wait for a table for two. We ended up just grabbing a spot at the bar which worked out just fine--ordered some beers and apps---REALLY wish they had a wider selection of tap beers, (not even honey weiss!) The "older" crowd was gone by 10p. Definitely not as packed. Live band started around 9p. Although the music was WAY TOO LOUD it was still a fun time. Lots of people dancing, was a pretty fun time.
