What a hidden gem. It is in thr middle of nowhere. We saw people talking on FB so decided to take a ride. They have a horse ring where they have barrel racing every Friday and Saturday night. We were there on a Sat afternoon and they had live music. Large outdoor deck as well as 3 indoor areas. Service was great, drinks were good and reasonable $5 Corona I had a Moscow mule $12 ?? Although the service was adequate, the food was very lackluster. For the prices they charge, which is way out of wack for what get, you would think they take pride in the dishes coming out of the kitchen. 2 examples. The porterhouse that was ordered was cooked wrong twice. The pork chop that was ordered was so salty is wasnt ateable. The other was foods were ok at best. If your looking for a good steak, dont go there. I have spent over 30 years in the food business, so i think i would know what I am talking about. We've been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, but since it's about a 30-minute drive for us, it took some planning. It's located in the quaint town of Warm Springs, right next to where rodeos are held on some weekends, which adds to the charm. The restaurant itself is very unique and has a lot of potential. The live music was a big plus, and once the band started, a crowd quickly showed up. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the atmosphere. The cowboy queso was good, but the tortilla chips were inconsistent. some heavily seasoned, others not, and many were very dark and overly crunchy, almost like they were fried in old oil. My husband's bison/Wagyu burger was well-seasoned and tasted good, but his side of spinach unexpectedly tasted like beer. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and fries. The fries were extremely soggy and greasy, and parts of the sandwich were burnt, which made it difficult to enjoy. We both had waters and considered getting a beer, but domestic bottled beers were $5, which felt a bit steep, so we passed. Our total was $52, and given the quality of the food, we weren't pleased with the value. We're not the type to complain or send food back, so we ate what we could. We may come back and try different menu items because the atmosphere, location, and live music really are great. With better consistency in the kitchen, this place could be a standout in Warm Springs. read more

Sat at the bar this evening- bartender was nice but I think she's not very organized in keeping bar ready for a night with a band. -No Sauvignon Blanc -Only one open bottle of Pinot Grigio. Other bottles were warm. No thought given to chill more beginning of shift since she stated, saying it's popular wine. We suggested to put it on ice to give it a fast chill. Another server came into the area to assist her and also waited on us. When we suggested same, she thought great idea but at that point, it was too late. -$10 for what looked to be 4oz pour of a cheap wine brand. -No chilled glasses- Chilling glasses is easy- what bartender does not make this a priority!? -Cowboy queso dip- chips were cooked to a dark brown. We considered them to be burnt. Oddly a guy at the bar said all food there was crap! I knew it wasn't a good place to eat but went mainly to hear the band. I found this place on facebook and decided to try it out. It was everything I was hoping it would be. My wife got the 10 ribeye with mashed potatoes, green beans and a salad. I got the salmon with broccoli, Mac and cheese and a bowl of the soup of the day. It was fried green tomato soup, which was new to me. Everything was delicious. Our server, Katelyn, was amazing. Bad day for Cowboy Town... This is a great place with rodeo rink, large bar, just a great feel. However, at 5 o'clock on a Friday, the place was empty. Got a table in the bar area. They open at 4, but didn't seem like they were prepared for guests. Draft beer was not good. Our bartender graciously replaced them with bottles in a bucket. 2 of them were only half full, go figure. We got those replaced, however they were not cold yet. They did not have the Mich Amberbock on the menu. I ordered Cowboy Pasta, which they did not have. Settling on a burger, it came cold and overcooked. We did get an 8% discount, wohoo! Also food was very slow, considering we were the only ones there. Shame for such a cool venue. read more

Slow service, unexpected auto gratuity for a party of 7, poor food presentation, lack of seasoning, the most excitement we saw from wait staff was a passing waitress gushing over the baby. They were not even remotely busy. It took forever to order, receive items, multiple things were unavailable. Bar drinks were incorrectly made, soda was flat. Asking any form of question was like pulling teeth. We went with a group of 7 adults, a 2 year old and an infant. The baby slept the whole time and our 2 year old had incredible behavior for being a hungry toddler In total our meal took almost 2 hours, and not because we were lingering!! We all split the bill up by our separate parties, and we have no issues with an auto gratuity when warranted and notified. However when I took my card to the counter while the others had passed theirs off, I added the tip on the kiosk, unaware that gratuity had already been added. My son-in-law had to notify me! When I requested they fix the tip issue it was as if they were confused on how to fix this, and even the managers lack of enthusiasm to help improve our experience left us feeling extremely dissatisfied. Cowboy Town. I was taken there yesterday for a birthday dinner. We arrived at 4:30 due to commitments to follow. The staff was very friendly. We had to wait for about five minutes until anyone showed up to seat us, but not a problem. We were the only ustomers there. We were seated in a booth that had a support post partially blocking access to one side, but were allowed to move after asking when the waitress returned. The music was not loud, which was nice. The place had plenty of things for customers to do, including a room with corn hole. We ordered the 32 ounce sirloin for two, medium rare. Our salads arrived first and were fresh. The dressings were good and enough to cover the salads. The iced tea was very good. The steak was cooked just right. However, the steak, baked potatoes and rolls were luke warm at best. We ordered loaded baked potatoes as our one each allowed sides. They were supposed to come with bacon, cheese, scallions, sour cream and butter. We did not receive sour cream or scallions. When asked about the sour cream, we were told they checked and were completely out of sour cream. At 4:30 on Friday, out of sour cream? We forgot to ask about the scallions. Why didn't the waitress know beforehand about the missing items, or why didn't she apologize when the food was brought to us? We paid an additional $2.99 for each loaded baked potato, but received no discount for the missing items. The potatoes were cooked well, and the skins were not burnt and were edible. Just luke warm. We only received one roll each, which was basically a warmed up Sister Shubert's dinner roll. Had the food been hotter, all of the potato toppings been available, and a small basket of better rolls been given, the sticker shock may have set a little better. For the meal we had, the pre-tip cost was about $75. We left a $20 tip, since the waitress was nice and accommodating. She didn't prepare the food. We will not be returning to Cowboy Town. read more

Food was awful and ridiculously priced, had no flavor whatsoever and was cold. Service was horrible we were one of two tables in the restaurant with 4 different servers there. Our server had no customer service at all she kept responding to us very unprofessionally saying "huh" and "what". She would bring us food/drinks and then disappear, multiple instances of us needing things and never getting them due to her not coming back. They had multiple random people walking in and out of the kitchen. They ambiance was completely ruined considering the fact these people were yelling arguing with each other in the kitchen. I don't write reviews but my experience here was so disappointing that I had to get it out there. I was beyond disappointed at the sheer negligence and carelessness of the staff at a place with such an awesome concept, facility, and attraction. Not only was the following dining experience beneath lack luster, their Facebook had the post up about the fun barrels which we were excited to come watch, the event had been cancelled and not a single warning online, call ahead but don't expect the staff to actually know anything about it. My wife and I came back tonight (Oct 24, 2025) to give this place another try thinking our experience a month ago was just an off night. How embarrassing it was to find out last time would actually be our better experience. We drove 45 minutes from Columbus and walked in around 7pm. Immediately we're seated right next to the hostess stand and were told our server would be right with us. We waited for 15 minutes before a passing manager asked if we had been taken care of, when we said we had not she went off and our server came by about 2 minutes later. Off to a mediocre start but it was only downhill from here. We had plenty of time to look over the menu and so we ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our entrees all in one shot thinking maybe it would save us from the ridiculously slow service. About 10 minutes later the cook brought out our appetizer. We had finished eating about 10 minutes later before the bar tender had to bring us our drinks from across the restaurant. We sat around for about 40 more minutes, saw a couple come in and get seated in the booth behind us. I figured after our experienced I'd see how it was for them and started my stopwatch. They sat there for 13 minutes with nobody coming to take their order or greet them after the hostess had sat them before they got up and walked out, meanwhile we still hadn't been checked on and never got the waters we had ordered. About 45 minutes since our server had last come by, she brought our food. She had to make a second trip to bring my wife's soup, she came back about 5 minutes later carrying only the soup bowl, apologized and said she'd grab a spoon and A1 sauce for my wife. She came back with A1 and my wife had to ask a second time for a spoon that came another 5 minutes later. As for the meals, we both ordered the 10oz barrel cut Ribeye medium rare. My wife's steak was less than half as thick as mine and came out about 10 minutes on the grill past well done and ridiculously dry. Mine came out almost bloody. Our server never asked how our food was. There were less than 30 people there with at least 4 servers, which would be ridiculously easy to manage with only 2 on staff. Meanwhile, all the servers we gathered behind the dessert counter chit chatting like school kids on the playground. We waited another 15 minutes after she got back from the restroom before our server stopped by so we could finally ask for the bill. I am typically a fairly generous tipper, 20% for mediocre service, closer to 30%+ for a server who truly puts an effort in. I have never given a server a tip below 15%, tonight I tipped nothing. I wished I could have tipped a negative amount to make up for the gouging prices on our poor quality steaks to at least feel somewhat compensated. For the near 2 hours we were sat at our table our server came by 7 total times. 1-take order 2-bring food 3-bring soup 4-bring A1 5-bring spoon 6-bring check 7-bring receipt and card back. If this place isn't laundering money for drug trafficking I don't see them staying in business more than 6 months without an overhaul of both the front and back of house. We truly want to like this place because the idea is so cool but the staff needs to do better, which is crazy they are so bad at their job considering they are tipped based on service. I would rate the service 0 stars if I could since apparently the only work they do is hitting rock bottom and starting to dig. I should have taken pictures but didn't think to until it was too late. Good food... poor service. We were seated and were the only patrons in the restaurant. We had asked if we could sit outside (we had a friend playing in the band) and order food. They hostess acted unsure and finally said we might be able to order food if we sat at the bar. Not interested in sitting at the bar. We ordered an appetizer, salad and entrees. It took about 35 mins and finally our salad showed up, but no appetizer. I asked our server and he was like... "somebody didn't bring it?" Nope. He disappeared for about 10 more minutes and then asked us if we wanted our appetizer when he brought our entrees. I declined. This seems to cause some confusion. Steak was good (a little over cooked for medium rare). Pasta was excellent. We asked about desert and were told they had cheesecake and a "strawberry thing." We declined, paid our bill and headed out to the bar to hear our friend play in the band. On the way we passed the dessert display with german chocolate cake, key lime pie, and a few other choices (both of which we would have ordered). When we walked in to the bar, there were tables and booths all with people sitting at them .... with food. Same menu as we had inside. Very frustrating. This place is absolutely wonderful. If you want a laid back, small town, local rancher farmer establishment, this is the place to go. The service was impeccable, the food was out of this world. I had the wagyu hamburger my husband had the ribeye both of them were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is very calm and soothing there's no screaming youngins there's no loud talking the music is kept to a low so you can actually hold on a conversation there is not enough good things I can say about this place. What a great place in warm Springs! Huge restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly for the folks outside. The restaurant overlooks a horse arena where they hold events like barrel racing that we got to see the night we went. The kids loved it and it was super entertaining! Drove from Mississippi to stay and eat here and listen to confederate railroad band play for my nieces birthday and my parents anniversary paid $20 per person to get in and for parking and food, the band ended up leaving we never got to hear them play and they would not refund us and also cussed in front of my child, when we confronted the owner who was sitting on the patio drinking, he went inside and locked us out. Very unprofessional, trashy, and distasteful. Will not ever go back. Spent well over $400 and didn't even get to see or hear the band play one song. Worst experience ever. Would give them 0 stars!!!!!!!! What is so bad is the owner knew the band was leaving and was still charging people to come in and not telling them . This place had the worst service, food, prices and atmosphere I have ever had. It took forever to get our drinks. Ice tea is suppose to have ice in the glass, not served warm. We never received our appetizer, my wife's steak came out lukewarm, after 30 minutes my meal still never came out so we canceled it. Plus a restaurant is not supposed to be a daycare for the employees. I thought maybe it sucked because they were taking care of their children and not their customers. People need to chill their expectations; you're in the middle of top of a mountain and in the middle of a forest. Things move a little slower and that's why we took a vacation to begin with. We were super excited to eat at Cowboy Town tonight. We watched the coming soon type information on Facebook for months. Once the restaurant opened, we waited for a date night to come around, and tonight was the night. We live in Pine Mountain so we drove approximately 25 minutes to the restaurant. Then...... We entered behind another couple. After 5 minutes or so, the waitresses (7 of them at the cash register?) asked the couple in front of us if they wanted to eat inside or outside. They responded that they had been working outside all day and would like to sit inside. They were seated right there in the entrance room. I was thinking - man, I'm glad I didn't drive all the way here to eat in this room by ourselves with all these waitresses standing around chatting. Then, the waitress tried to sit us inside too. We asked if we could sit outside and she said "it is filling up out there." We left. Ugh. VERY disappointed and will not be back. read more

Shelby was an absolute joy and an amazing server. She was in the middle of taking our order when she was asked to take on more tables. She let us know up front it could possibly be a wait for the food which was worth it. So it was a shocking surprise When we went back a Shelby was no longer there and the Bartender(black haired) was belittling and bad mouthing Shelby and how grateful the company is to no longer have her anymore. We feel she was absolutely wonderful. The girl that sat us continuously came to Shelby asking her to take more and more tables and Shelby was working tables from the front, Bar area and outside. She didn't miss a beat. We probably won't be back unless Shelby is back. I tried leaving my review on Facebook but it was removed that is why i removed the things the Bartender said. The first time and the last time visit. We got there at 5:30 not too busy and there was no where to park. We got set at a table and the waitress came up and just stared at us? We had to speak first. We started to order and they didn't have the first thing that we ordered, the prime riblets. We ordered a salad but they don't put cheese on it nor do they put cheese on a baked potato but they do for cheeseburgers, go figure. After we all ordered what they said they had, the waitress came back and told us they didn't have the Philly steak my wife ordered. That was enough for us so we cancelled the order and left.
