I so miss this place. We use to have one in Vancouver and I miss it. The staff was very friendly and let me try many samples before buying my half litre take home. I love stopping at Cow's for ice cream whenever I'm in Whistler. It's a great place for anyone, young or old. The perfect treat in summer, but make no mistake, they get business all year round. I recommend the Wowie Cowie with fresh vanilla and chunks of toffee, skor and chocolate chips. Mmm ... Can honestly say I tasted the fatty contents of Cow's ice cream individually; real cream, fresh milk, fresh eggs and all the good stuff that make great ice cream...and waffles...the waffles!! You know you're in good company when you can actually make out the "real" ingredients on your tongue. That said, Ben and Jerry's and even Haagen Daz is equally good and not that expensive. I suspect the high ratings this place gets is partly due to the ice cream and hugely due to the fanaticism mountain air induces. Everything in Whistler is just "better". The maple walnut and blueberry flavours we tried were both excruciatingly delicious, defined in my book as so good it's painful to swallow (because then it's gone!). Would I go back for more? Went here on a Sunday afternoon in January 2013. The store was not busy, and they had plenty of ice cream flavours to choose from. I got bubblegum flavour with double chocolate (I can't remember the actual name) on a waffle cone for about $5. Very affordable and yummy ice cream for such an affordable price! Wanna know what happiness feels like? - Cow's on a hot day in the summer - Freakin awesome. You won't miss this spot while walking around the Whistler village because of the cow upfront. Heard that cow has been there for years so make sure you snap a picture with it before you leave! I did see another Cow's location right by this branch though, so this review will be limited only to the branch I visited. The store is divided into an ice cream section and a souvenir section. The souvenir section has some of the wackiest and quirkiest stuff around. Everything they sell is cow themed and they like naming everything with cow puns... Every time I've entered the place, there was always a long line. Even the ice cream flavors are cow themed, and there is a huge selection to choose from. You can ask them if you can try out their flavors (tried out the Cowconut Cream Pie and the Cookie Monster and they were both amazing). Kind of wish they organized their flavors more though. Cow's has all it's flavors organized irregularly with no rhyme or rhythm (I would see some flavors twice) so I found myself going back and forth wondering if I missed out seeing any of the flavors Service was alright. I told the guy serving me that I wanted Cowconut Cream Pie and he got me Cookie Monster, so I corrected him and he ended up putting the Cookie Monster back. Ice cream was one of the richest and milkiest I've ever had. Very top notch quality. The Cowconut Cream Pie didn't really taste much like coconut though like I wanted (only a slight coconut flavor), and tasted more like graham crackers instead, but it was very delicious nonetheless. The waffle cone was sweet, crunchy and delicious. For now, Cow's is probably my go to spot next time I'm craving dessert at Whistler village. Ice cream is suitable for any weather, even when it's 25 degrees F outside! I was surprised to walk by and see a long line for this place, especially when it was so cold outside. And of course I had to try it after that. The ice cream was decent, but I've had better. It was a little too sweet for my taste. They have pretty typical ice cream flavors, nothing out of the ordinary. They also sell their own brand of shirts, that reminds me of the Big Dogs brand. Shirts that have slogans like "MooTube" and other random phrases that they add "MOO" and "COW" to. It's the type of stuff you'd buy for your 5 year old. Holy cow, they do indeed carry some of the best ice-creams I have eaten so far! Every time I walked by Cow's when I was in Whistler, there was a long line outside. On a Sunday after we biked for almost 4 hours, we were tired and wanted something light to munch on. When we came across Cow's we immediately parked our bikes outside and stood in the line to get their ice cream. I noticed that they were even freshly making their waffle cones! Though there are a few places to choose from, I picked Cows because of an article in their window that stated they were the world's best ice cream by the staff of Tauck World Discovery. Hah, okay random, but whatever the hooked worked. One of the reasons why Cows is ranked highly is because of their high butterfat content of 16%. Moo moo cow indeed! They also state on their website that their ice cream has minimum air, this high density lets the ice cream slowly melt in your mouth. Of course, like all high quality ice cream parlors, they only use the finest ingredients: fresh cream, real eggs, sugar, pure natural vanilla, imported Holland cocoa, and etc. Wow, okay sounds good to me. Especially in the cold, right? Yup! So, I grabbed a scooped before heading out for some snow shoeing. I love how the price includes a homemade waffle cone with your scoop. I was taken aback by that. The staffer replied matter-of-factly, "how else would you eat your ice cream? We only use the best at Cows." Wow, my expectations for ice cream are pretty low! Dang it, I need to step up my expectations because waffle cones with ice cream are so delicious. I need to start splurging on that more, especially when they are homemade. Anyways, their ice cream was yummy, but nothing mind blowing. More traditional, like my favorite Strickland's Ice Cream in Irvine. To be able to write a review the store has to, y'know, be open. Tuesday afternoon - closed between 5:00pm and 7:00pm for "deliveries". The deliveries-during-peak-customer-time problem was solved years ago (I mean, decades ago). It doesn't require the shutting of both of your stores. I don't doubt that you sell great ice cream - problem is that if you arbitrarily close during advertised opening hours and a customer has schlepped miles to visit you, don't be surprised if they are super pissed off. read more

Oh my goodness, so yummy!!! I love local Ice Cream shops and even after a big dinner at Brewhouse, I found a little room in my stomach for a cone. I'm not sure about the name of the flavor, but it was chocolate based with chunks of fudge. It was heavenly.
