This place was overpriced, dirty, and honestly felt like a rip-off. The arcade games were expensive and the selection was weak. The food from the kitchen was disgusting -- the frying oil tasted old and rancid, like it hadn't been changed in days. It's a good size inside and have a bowling alley offering 10+ lanes as well as an arcade, go karts and batting cages, rock climbing indoors and with a small roller coasters outside. Took 2 game cards & an online e Groupon voucher to the counter to combine into one card. The lady "combined" both cards and said she uploaded the voucher before ever looking at it. She told me how many points was on the card after after she uploaded/combined everything. 2333 points. Got home to look at my notes because I always write this stuff down. The 1st card had 2333 points, the 2nd card had 4397 points. She never uploaded the voucher either. They refused to fix the issue. Pay attention folks! Went at opening on Sunday morning and that is the time to go! Parked right up front, no crowd, no waiting, and were able to take our time with miniature golf clubs without feeling rushed. Was perfect for a group of 7 with two young kiddos. It started getting busier after 12pm of course. So many activities - to many to list. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We didn't bowl but I was impressed by the appearance of the lounging and bar area. (Looked updated, plentiful & clean). I removed one star because of the restrooms. The women's restroom was dirty and had STRONG smell of urine and filth. Absolutely nasty, gag worthy, & unacceptable (especially to be like that only 2 hours after opening and not crazy busy). I came here vacation and I got wrongly accused at the go carts when someone crashed into ME and couldn't drive them anymore. Me and my friend came to Alley cats specifically for the go carts and even bought the unlimited pass. If you are a rule follower like me don't go on the go carts. Even worse, I told them one of the VR games was messed up and they never fixed it. I didn't even care to get my points back I just didn't want anyone else wasting theirs on it. Alley cats in Hurst makes it a great day out with the family. They offer an indoor rock climbing wall, bowling, 2 miniature golf courses, go- karts, carnival style roller coasters and of course a large selection of arcade games! We've taken advantage of all they have to offer, I really enjoyed the bowling- smaller lanes with kid side bumpers if needed. It was our family's first time bowling and everyone just had a great time. The miniature golf was cool, but the weather is HOT! The courses were pretty vanilla, kinda the same thing over and over... my kids 6 and 9 got bored of it and so we only finished half the course. The go karts are pure fun and excitement. Karts and course we're clean and in good repair. Staff out there was friendly and making jokes and kept things light hearted. The roller coaster we're also a good time, our kids really enjoyed the speed and spinning of the "The Rattler". If your wearing shorts, please watch out cause the seats on these rides are boiling hot and my kiddos legs were on fire! Had a blast tho! We played arcades and won prizes and all that good stuff- machines were all in good shape and honestly it was fun to play games we played as kids with our kids. Lastly we took advantage of a Groupon that saved us some money and got us a few more credits than going directly thru Alley Cats. We went here to get out of the house. We wanted to play putt putt. We went ahead & bout the 40 something dollar package that lets you do everything unlimited amount of times, that's your best option. The putt putt was really the only disappointment because during the whole game over the loud speaker you hear ALL MINORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. While we were playing, there were these 2, I want to say 5-6 yr olds that kept just putting their balls down & waking away wherever they please right with us the whole time. Came here for a morning of fun with my kids and we had a great time. Best deal though is to order your card online. The cost is 50% off what you pay at the location. Most of the arcade games are fairly reasonable in points needed to play compared to Main Event who charges almost 3x to play a similar game. They also have miniature golf and a small selection of carnival rides that my younger daughter absolutely loved. They also have bowling which is not too expensive and you can book in 30 minute increments which is great. The height requirement for the gokarts is ridiculous! Im 17 with a drivers permit and they declined service to ride alone because of my height. If im able to drive a vehicle why not a gokart. The manager supposedly said it wasnt allowed but on of its employees before said it was fine as long as I met the age requirement. Ridiculous! Before that, I rode the gokart alone, the employee stated, "You are just on the line, I will let you test drive and if you dont crash you are allowed to." I drove perfectly fine, even a grown man almost flipped his car and just because he is tall he didn't receive any form of punishment. They declined service just for that. My son was invited to a birthday party at this location and I was thinking I was just going to a bowling party. I had no idea that this location or the Arlington location had been revamped to include so many different activities. We arrived and had to curve around through a long parking lot like you were at Six Flags. We arrived at the main building and there were buses, and the outdoor area was bustling with customers. I was pleasantly surprised at the facility. The bowling was comfortable and fine with sofas on each side and chairs. The place was clean. The kids seem to have fun with the bowling and there wasn't too much crowdedness around the bowling that you felt cramped. After that, I was again surprised that we went over to laser tag. I had no idea that anyone else had laser tag but Main event. This laser tag seemed to be a long one and it seemed like it accommodated a lot of kids. After the laser tag for the party, we went upstairs to where it seemed like they had the party rooms. The party room was very large, but didn't seem as renovated as the areas downstairs. The air conditioning was on blast and it was so cold, but it was nice and that they served ice cream and pizza and then you brought your own cake or cupcakes. After that there were little gift bags that were made up for Alley cats and they gave you a card to use in the arcade. I really like the arcade because they were a lot of games that I had not seen before at the other type entertainment centers. It seems like they had a lot of newer things there and it just was a lot of fun. Now you did earn a lot of tickets there, but their redemption did not seem as great as main event or even Chuck E. Cheese. Even though you could get a lot of points they really didn't afford you with the bigger better prizes. Their redemption center was still like a little bar where you picked things off of the wall and it wasn't a lot of brand-name toys or things that you wanted even if you did have a lot of points. So that I would say needs to be improved upon but overall we had a blast. I now will consider this for future birthday parties, because I just didn't know all of this was there. There is just so many options at this place. Although we didn't use the outdoor facilities, they have put putt golf, go carts, batting cages, and some rides. This outdoor facility with putt putt brought me back to 30 years ago when I worked at the putt putt golf on division and subsequently moved over to the one off of Park Springs, which was closer to my house. I must've been 15 years old and that was the start of the golf carts. So I tried to investigate, if there was a merger because I always thought that Alley Cats was just a bowling alley. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it was so much more! I also have fond memories of my old high school job in the snack bar at putt putt. I will definitely be bringing my son here just for an afternoon of fun as well as considering other events at the alley cat entertainment center. read more

After seeing a great Facebook offer for Mother's Day my mom and I decided to venture here after church. Ally Cats is a bright and colorful building right off of the 820 freeway. The Mother's Day deal was a buy one get one free play deal that included a $10 game card, unlimited bowling, and golfing. Any additional games, such as laser tag and go carts was an extra charge. My mom decided to go with this deal and that she wanted to do the batting cages as well. The customer service was great and the people were super nice. My mom and I had an awesome time! Ally Cats is a smaller version of Dave and Busters and Main Event. I think that this is a great spot for children and families versus the later is for adults. There are not as many arcade games, but what they do have is okay. I think I would come back here again for the go carts and to play golf, but I would bring my nieces and nephews. I give this place 3 stars because there's not too many other places you can find go karts, golfing, batting cages , and arcade (and soon to be laser tag). But everything there seems so outdated and rackety. The go karts definitely seemed dated. There was a kart that had a Cingular wireless sponsor if that gives you any idea. One of the karts actually stopped in the middle of the track because the engine died. The attendant had to walk onto the track during the race to pull the engine cord to get it going again. I felt like that could have been dangerous had there been more people racing on the track. I saw the same kart with a different person on it get stuck on the middle of the track later too. The golfing is average, each hole did not differ too greatly in difficulty or creativity. The environment around it is pretty refreshing if you decide to golf in the evening though, on the off hours of the blazing sun where it's cool enough to enjoy the running water displays around you. Batting cages were good, it was my first time doing it so I can't really compare it to anything else. I would not come here for the arcade as their selection is limited. If you wanted to go somewhere for the arcade I would recommend Round 1. There was also a small selection of carnival rides, but they looked really old and rickety. The entire time we were there, there wasn't a single attendant on any of the rides. I don't think I saw one person even try to ride them anyways. Good on Putt Putt for minimizing unnecessary labor lol. read more

I must say this experience turned out to be much more fun than I thought it would, and the niece and nephew we took there had a complete best time. I was told by my nephew that it was the "Best day of my entire life." He's eight, so thankfully he has a lot of time for things to get better. The golf was fun, though the courses are not what I remembered miniature golf courses to be. There were no small gaps or moving obstacles, but still the kids had fun, so I guess that's the point. There are two courses and we played the easier Harbor course. I was told the Adventure course is a bit harder, but the holes looked very similar to me. One tip on the golf: Whether you get a hole in one or not, say that you did (wink wink). As it turns out, we ALL got at least one (legit), and that nets you each a scratch off game card that, at the very least, will get you a 2-for-1 coupon on the other attractions (see the back of the card for other prizes). So unless you buy a package (which are very good deals), play golf first and get the coupon. After some golf and games of skill and chance for coupons, we checked out the snack bar. We ordered chicken tenders ($7.99) and a hot dog ($1.99). The food was OK and the prices reasonable. Each basket of tenders, with fries, fed an adult and a child. Pizza is also available for $10 and I think $12 for a medium or large. It looked like typical conveyor-belt pizza, but OK none the less. The kids had fun on a few rides and the 8-year old was just barely tall enough to do the rookie cars on the big go-cart track. Rookie seems to be smaller slower cars on the same big track, which is pretty cool (only rookies are on the track, as they alternate its use). The big track also has single and double cars for older/taller riders. There's also a kiddie go-cart track, for shorter riders, which looked popular too. Bottom line: Check the package deals (see Russell R.'s review or the website) as there seem to be some very good deals. There also a "buy in advance" holiday package that is worth checking out. It's no state fair, but the kids did not know that, it cost less and parking was free and plentiful. read more

Just had an amazing field trip at Alley Cats in Hurst. I can't say enough wonderful things about the facility and the staff! David was the manager, and he took such good care of us. The establishment was clean and safe, food was hot and delicious and we had zero issues! Score! We had 250+ kids there and we can say it ran smoothly! This is the Putt Putt place that has been here for some time only being remodeled and renamed. Staff was much friendlier that they had been in the past. They added a laser tag, and the cafe was undergoing a face lift while we were there so it was closed. Other areas of the inside areas were also undergoing remodeling; possibly party rooms on the first floor but I'm not sure. Some of the outdoor areas could still use an upgrade but based on the amount of work being put on the inside I'm sure it's on the agenda. Some outdoor areas may have already been updated but the mini golf was the only area we were in of the outdoor stuff in our most recent visit. I hope they continue to offer coupons, groupons, and help with NRH summer reading programs. As that is what usually drives us to coming here vs other places in the area.
