I said I needed to drive a few more and would be in touch. I didn't get the 500 calls traditionally made by dealerships after you come by. I hate that. I shopped for a few days and almost bought another car, but this place and car stayed on my mind as I had a new standard of how I wanted to be treated. I brought my family to check it out and we still didn't get hassled as I simply got some possible numbers, shared my budget and talked about the car. We drove it, loved it and said we had to sleep on it. He was totally cool about that. The next morning, I did get a call and we scheduled a time to try and hash out a deal. When we came back, I only had an hour and a half to make it happen. I told them the bottom line of exactly what I had to have for the deal to work. They went away and got me exactly what I wanted. We signed the deal and I was about 3 minutes late for my call. Jesse, Trevor and Dan were awesome. I didn't get some BS negotiation process and was treated like I asked to be treated. Interestingly enough, I bought it last night and it's NOT ON THEIR SITE ANYMORE. I read some other things on here about that past that weren't good, but my terrible experiences happened at other dealerships. See my scathing review of Venice Honda for my bait and switch story. Several days later, I checked their site and the CAR WAS STILL ON IT. Don't tell a webmaster that it's hard to make updates either. Apparently Mazda uses a different internet.

Please continue to read…read more My 19 year-old nephew walked into the dealership without a job, his $10,000 paid off car, and no savings. The dealership sold him a used car, gave him $4,000 (40%) for his old car and told him to lie on the Finance application about his yearly income. He was instructed to put $42,000 as a yearly income. Because of his age, the amount of money he borrowed and only $4,000 down on a car he's was given the highest interest rate I've seen on a loans. I'm very disappointed in the unethical predatory practices shown by Cox Mazda in Bradenton. Riley has poor impulse control, makes bad decisions and has not had a job since high school graduation in June 2026. So he is at some fault too. Obviously the sales person at Cox Mazda in Bradenton doesn't have kids and probably the Sales manager, along with the finance officer that wrote up the documents doesn't have kids either. If this was just A "kid " thing I wouldn't be writing this. But it's more on how all future buyers could be treated. He was given the highest interest rate with no income, no credit, 40% of what his trade-in car is worth. The used Mazda Miata car will end up costing more than a new. So if you're a naïve person, new to buying cars or Perhaps an elderly person, please find another dealership that will treat you like a human, your age, a fellow Floridian

I was originally quoted one price for the repair, but later I was told the cost went up because I "needed hoses added," with no clear explanation or proof provided for why those parts were necessary. There was no documentation, no visual inspection shown, and no real breakdown to justify the added work--just a verbal claim that it was required. On top of that, the final charge ended up being more than 3x what the same OEM part is listed for at Ford, which raises serious concerns about how the pricing was marked up and presented. The issues didn't stop there. This happened on a Friday. I was told my car would be ready before 4:00 PM, but around 4:30 PM I only received a last-minute text update. I arrived at approximately 5:09 PM, and the shop was already closed. There was no one available, no way to speak to anyone, and no reliable way to get updates or access my vehicle. Because of the timing and the fact that it was already Friday evening, my car would have been stuck there all weekend until Monday, which directly affected my work schedule. I had to go out of my way to find and contact the owner myself just to avoid being left without my vehicle for multiple days. While I did get my car back, the overall experience felt inconsistent, poorly communicated, and not handled in a transparent or professional way

Sometimes you can't get ahold of who you want...at the exact time you think is best for you. The truth is, they are awesome, they are busy, but when you are in touch with someone, the service is outstanding. Yes, I did have to wait for back ordered parts and sometimes call back a few times. The end result is what matters. Everything was taken care of and they went above and beyond to make sure the finished product is what I expected. I would never want to be in customer service because for every one great review you get the complainers who just simply don't understand that the world is not a "your way right away" truth. Eric Erkckson was my collision representative. He was the nicest and straightforward guy out there. Thank you Eric for taking the time to make sure I was taken care of and understanding my concerns. I just wanted to leave a review for the team that really don't deserve the negative comments I read.

Ryan Overstreet asked me to REMOVE my GOOGLE REVIEW, my 100% honest account of how they sold our trade without the proper NYS Gifting form because it was illegal. My negative review brings their stats down and calls them out on their deceptive sales practices! From what I understand after the past two months of doing my research, Google Reviews are pretty damn important for a car dealership. DID YOU KNOW: Dealerships can request your google reviews to be taken down and you will never know unless you go incognito! Since Ryan knows how to manipulate the Google reviews process, and KNOWS a "Local Guide Review" takes Relevance, he has "local guides" put these "great reviews" out there to override the negatives. How "real" are these local guide reviews, Google? Does the Dealership CREATE these factious profiles just to override negative reviews? Hummmmm? Why does this dealer has a review rating of 4.3 on Google, but less that 3.4 on DealerRater and less than 1.9 on Yelp? THANK YOU YELP for allowing us to tell our story without being manipulated by the dealership to take it down! Negative reviews tell you the true story! Positive reviews just make the dealership look good and now after doing 2 months of research, I have learned can be easily manipulated. DON'T BE FOOLS. Read the NEGATIVE reviews. Clearly these guys (mostly all male dealership-stereotypical car dealership), are experts at the ole "BAIT & SWITCH and in my opinion, Ryan should just teach classes in this because he's the GM ringleader expert! There are only a few women that work at this dealership; one that answers the phone and another who responds to reviews. Why are these positions not given to a man?? I'll let you think about that one for a bit. SITUATION: We traded 2 vehicles in for 2 new vehicles. My first new car purchase (no lease) at 57 years old and I deserved it after raising 4 children and working a high stress job, even holding 3 jobs during my children's early ages while pregnant. They took trades, didn't get the required gifting form for one of the vehicles and the story has been a 2 month NIGHTMARE! I'm a pit bull and will fight to the end so I am in for the long haul and will try my hardest to get Gettel Toyota of Bradenton held accountable for their deceptive business practices. I flew from NY to FL after the trade was restructured and they took a $1,500 payment as a deposit. Gettel knew I was coming but illegally sold the trade to a third party. When I arrived at the dealership, they had me sign the proper cash deposit Gifting Form, then isolated me in the office, had another manager come in, to tell me they sold my trade and they would get me a rental car to drive home. WOW again! THEN ON TOP OF IT, they pulled me into another office with Yarel (who was really nice by the way) and tried to get me to sign my life away and give me pennies. I REFUSED and left back home to NY w/paperwork in hand after crying at the dealership for hours trying to figure out my next move (I was supposed to be driving home at this point). If you value your money & especially your time, GO ELSEWHERE to get your Toyota. If you like playing games (hope you're great cuz these guys are experts), sitting in a dealership for days, then by all means go to Gettel Toyota of Bradenton. I would have loved to leave a great review but the amount of mistakes that STILL keep occurring is unfathomable, after being ghosted and referred to their attorney? After spending $125,000 all in, I need to be honest for you hard working Floridians who are getting ripped off. My sales guy Mick - TOP NOTCH and so was Sebastian! Rey, moved from Sales to Finance; sweet kid made to stay past 12am; Jon threw him to the wolves instead of mentoring the poor kid! Let's be honest because Gettel Management and Dealership as a whole is NOT. Sales guys are supposed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy! How do you think (according to Jon Cruz), this dealership sells over 300 cars per month (or between 10-15 cars per DAY)??? Fast talkers. They will do whatever to sell you a vehicle! Period. WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET YOU INTO THIS CAR TODAY? The operational end at Gettel Toyota of Bradenton is a complete disastrous failure and should be closed immediately for full and proper training in the back end. Period. Who doesn't feel great after getting a new car? Unfortunately, me! It has been 50 days of aggravation but DMV will hold them accountable. BUYER BEWARE and heed my warning. Take your business elsewhere.

Unfortunately, that trust is gone. During my most recent visit, my service advisor, Rodrick, was not transparent about the repair costs. When I asked Rodrick for a breakdown and an explanation, I was simply told, "I don't make the pricing." That's not an acceptable answer when a customer is suddenly facing a bill where the labor works out to over double hourly labor rate After years of loyalty, this experience was extremely disappointing.
