The vehicle was then purchased by my employer who paid in full and the $500 was not credited. Phil stated, I have to let you know the value stated for your trade will be lower that stated on the app. I asked why and no justifiable reason was given. The new staff they've hired only cares about how much they can try to squeeze out of you and are rather rude while doing it. $3,000 in hidden dealer fees, they offer multiple THOUSANDS below even the lowest end of market value on trade ins, while still asking thousands over the top end of market value on theirs and claim that there's no flexibility in their price because they're "family owned and not corporate owned" which makes no sense. Recently, I had my Jeep towed in after making an appointment, but when it arrived they refused to accept it and would not even let the tow truck driver drop it off. In addition, my mother has had her vehicle serviced there multiple times and each time there were mistakes. Instead of admitting the errors, they acted as though it was her fault. Because of this history, I believe the refusal to accept my Jeep was tied to her prior complaints. I am extremely disappointed in how we have been treated after years of loyalty. I have been a Firkins customer for several years. Had a problem with a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Trying to resolve issue for 8 months. Once it was over a year old, they told me it was the tires and they needed replaced. The Jeep had 8,000 miles on it. They would not work with me at all even though I offered to buy the tires if they would just install them. Disappointed for the first time in years. Bought my 18 yr old a Jeep Compass last year and original Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership in Sarasota put a sticker on his windshield that says first 3 oil changes are free. Unfortunately, this week he went in to use his 3rd one and he was told Jeep now only honors 2 free. So when the oil change was done, they charged him $174. Come on!! So not only did they not honor something they should, they never gave home any choice in his oil and gave him premium. Being a recent high school graduate who will be enlisting into the Army this August, I wanted him to learn how to do this task on his own. He's done it twice now so I thought he'd be OK. I feel he was greatly taken advantage of 1 because they didn't honor the 3rd free one as clearly as stated and 2 by not consulting him on the oil options and cost. He's now out a chunk of his graduation money. I spoke with the service manager at Ferkins, no help. I spoke to the Sarasota dealership who put the sticker on, they said I should have brought it to them for service and to reach out to Jeep Ways. Jeep Ways customer service said "It was a mistake" and he should not have been given the sticker. How hard would it have been for 1 person to step up their customer service and help make this situation better? Very sad. When I call for the app. and when I check in, I explain to Thomas, attendee, that I was trying to solve Idge variation and motor vibration problem, when in low rpm and ac on. Explain that I have the battery, belt and cabine air filter replaced weeks ago by AAA garage, when they did the oil change. Thomas told me ar. $200 would be charge for the diagnostic but maybe would be cover by warranty and 1 hour would be need. 1 hr 1/2 after, I got the diagnostic from the tecnition Willian Jones: " alternator causing vehicle to shake.belt on alternator causing vehicle to shake". New cabin air filter was charged $36 , plus $199.99 labor plus $16.52 tx...with my 10% off coupon, the total was $232.51. Total absurd! 1st: The cabin air filter was new and the same one , not replaced but was charged! 2sc: Month ago, when Mavis garage change the belt, didn't detected nothing wrong with the alternator. MY Conclusion: Firkis Bradenton doesn't have knowledge about the comum mitsubishi montero idge problem, all over youtube and google search , overchange for a simple diagnostic and is disonest about the parte" replaced", the cabin air filter.
