After driving around looking for cox locations in Las Vegas I finally found one open. When I walked in this store I was immediately greated with a warm welcome by a young lady who advised me to sign in. In the midst of me signing I'm I was then greated by customer service representative Dylan. He was well dressed spoke well made a few jokes and we complemented eachother on a few things we had in common. He was very friendly, professional, and very very helpful, he even took time to break down my steps I would need for the device I came to pick up. The work environment in it self speaks volume. 9240 location is very clean the tables are spaced out to allow guest to still social distance, but gives you a since of togetherness all at the same time. Horrible service at this location. There was at least 20 people waiting in line and the manager would not come out of his office to assist his employees with all the waiting customers. The man that worked with me was very rude and condescending. I ended up leaving the store and placed my order online. That was faster and convenient. I spoke to a gentleman who was very helpful and had an excellent customer service attitude towards helping me. Yet here is where I say it's just ok and not lower or higher, I was watching every employee and that's due to my background, but no one was literally smiling or at least trying to show they cared, there were two employees who didn't even acknowledge me when I said hello or hi, they just glanced over, so to me I am guessing working for Cox is just another job for some lol. I have been in customer service for 20 YEARS, 10 of those as a supervisor and trainer. What I have been receiving lately has been ANYTHING BUT customer service. I am trying to establish internet service so that I can use ALL of my devices and not have to rely on my cellular hot spot for my daughter's PT/OT/ST, my OB/GYN virtual appointments, my mental health appointments, and my Primary Care Physician appointments. Chelsea in sales was the only one who did not act like she had her head up her gluteus maximus. Lana in Chat Support closed the chat out when I told her that she was asking an inappropriate question. I have already requested service be established, and according to Chelsea, my account has already been set up, so asking who else lives with me was way out of line. Then Chelsea transferred me to Freddie and he was even rude. He was acting like I do not understand how addresses work. If he would have read the notes PROPERLY, he would have seen that what he was explaining was INCORRECT. I left a message on the supervisor's voice mail, but I am not expecting any resolution. It is DISGUSTING how y'all treat future customers. Who does your customer service training?????!!!!!!!! If I don't get this resolved by close of business tomorrow, I will be taking my business elsewhere, because no matter what, the way I have been treated since trying to start service with y'all has been unacceptable. read more

So, basically, the store operations are fair in this fake virus. You can choose to wait in your car if it is 100 degrees out, but a line develops outside the store, and because they are so regularly slow, you wind up standing in the heat for 30 minutes or more if you are lucky. But besides that, Cox is the worst cable company around. Just the fact that they don't tell you on the phone when you first get your cable going, that it is indeed a contract. Not one mention of it on a 20 minute phone conversation that if you decide you don't like their service any longer, or even want to downgrade, that Cox charges you over $200 for breaking the contract that was never revealed to me until I decided that Cox is horrible and end my business with them. They advertise about their low prices, but stick you with everything you don't need just to crank up the residuals. There are so many other worthy companies that stand up to Cox. Don't be fooled by their advertising budget and flash. They stink. read more

Rarely do I ever give out one star reviews but the service provided via in-store was terrible I explained to them that I have been experiencing latency issues when playing video games and even a slow internet speed which was unusual. So I requested if I could get a technician sent out and so they sent one out all he did was change one of the cords in the back and so I went back to my computer to test it out and the problem still persists. The technician told me to wait about a week and I should be good. What? When you fix latency issues and slow internet the results are immediate. So I went to live support and requested if I could get another technician, this time it was a supervisor with a trainee which was awesome as I was confident that the supervisor would fix my problem since he spotted it immediately and told me I would be contacted by another supervisor on Monday to see if everything is running smooth. A supervisor did contact me but kept texting me he was at a meeting or helping a customer and never got back to me. So I contacted Cox's 24/7 customer support and requested for someone very experienced as I was tired of having unstable and slow internet for the past week and a half. So a third and very experienced technician scouted all the wires and the ins and outs of my house and it turns out it was a problem with the cables outside my house and so he replaced those and BAM! Next day I had buttery smooth internet and no latency issues when connecting to games. Looks like the saying is true. Third times the charm! read more

Well I have to be honest, my first experience at this location wasn't good (about a year ago) but I was in the area and cox charged me 100$ for installation of the contour when the rep told me it was going to be free Came in all ready for a battle and had the pleasure of meeting Marianne packert which by title is a solution specialist... And I must say she is the first rep ever to be as she claims, a specialist.... I was out in 10 min with my problem solved and delt with an amazing way..... I just dread when I have to call Cox. It is always the runaround and I never get my issues fixed. I finally had to cancel my cable TV through Cox and only keep Internet until something better comes along. Dealing with Cox has been a fiasco for years and finally I don't have to deal with all that and I love it. The final straw was going into a digital solutions store and standing there for over an hour just to drop off a box that no one would help me with unless I waited an hour. Cox is a prime example why there should be more competition amongst the Internet service providers. I really wish Cox didn't hold monopoly in the area. (It does.) If you can avoid getting Cox service (i.e. if CenturyLink offers you an acceptable service), please avoid Cox and use the other service. We tried to return our DVR after canceling our cable service. We came in the store and signed in at the kiosk. After 10 minutes the man who signed in after us asked how long the wait might be as his name was not on the projected list. He was told 30 minutes. While we waited there were only two customer service reps helping patrons. At one point they called six people who had obviously left. My wife asked about the wait and an extremely rude sales rep told us another 25 minutes. We left. Cox has the worst service I have seen. I do not recommend Cox to anyone. Poor internet, poor installation, technicians with no knowledge, technicians who lie, high ticket prices once promotions end, & last but not least poor customer service and satisfaction. I pay $300 a month for the fastest internet and cable. Which I think is absurd because the internet is not up to par to their claims, plus their equipment is faulty. I have issues all the time with the internet constantly having to reset it in my brand new smart home. I've called for technicians to come down a couple times and the last one that came down was honest & said the last 2 left the job undone. This is a big red flag thinking I could trust the technicians when they say the job is done. I'm still getting the same issues nothing has been fixed. To me the technicians have no knowledge on what they're doing. The customer service department is even worst. The motto, "The Customer is Always Right." Is not exhorted with Cox and there is no customer satisfaction at all. All they say is that there is nothing they can do about it from regular employees all the way up to the supervisors. To me that baffles me how a corporation does nothing to make their customers happy and lies about fixing faulty services they provide. Cox installed a HomeLife security system in my home in July 2018. It was evident very quickly this was new to Cox, as the installation took several visits until the system functioned properly. At the same time, Cox made an unauthorized withdrawal from my bank account for almost $3,000, an amount that took several weeks to be refunded in several payments, and only after escalating the complaint from the area manager to the regional director of the company. Since installation we have had to replace three keypads, and one motion detector. A few weeks ago by chance I found out the alarm was not operating at all, although the touchpad indicated differently. In the armed away and armed stay mode doors could be opened, motion sensed with no response from the system and no communication with central monitoring. After two tech visits the problem was still not solved. I had to open the control battery, remove the battery terminals, disconnect the power, reinstall power and battery and hope for the best on a daily basis. Sometimes it worked. The touchpad would still react as if the alarm was armed, but no amount of intrusion was ever noticed or reported. Upon attempting to escalate the repair I was given a 6 hour run around over multiple phone calls. Finally I cancelled the contract on 9/17/19. The representative demanded a payment to complete the "contract period." I had purchased all the equipment outright, and informed the representative that there was jo contract since Cox had not performed by supplying the necessary support for the malfunctioning system. Cox then proceeded to attempt to withdraw more money from my bank account, which fortunately I caught in time. I had to instruct Wells Fargo to refuse any demands for payments from Cox. I hope this review will help any potential HomeLife customers to think carefully before trusting their home security to this awful company. read more

Monday we made our monthly payment like normal and they double charged me, (Cynthia was the service operator who took the payment and double charged me). So I see my bank statement and call them, I speak with Dennis who tells me he will submit a refund form should take 2 days. So it still isn't there and I call and they told me they denied my refund because that is what my next bill will be so they just have me marked down for advanced payment and that there is nothing they can do...are you kidding me? After cancelling services over the phone with customer service, I came in the store to return my equipment. There, I had some quality time to witness a case study in inefficiency. The store hires greeters that take your name and scan your equipment to be returned. It would seem logical they should just print up your receipt and send you on your way at that point. Instead, your name goes on the "big board" and you have to wait for fifteen minutes to get said receipt for return. What's worse is that folks walk in the door to pick up equipment, aren't even put on the "big board," and walk out with their boxes in no time. There's also customer reps standing at the counter having a bit of down time conversation while I stand and wait. Maybe the folks in white shirts aren't allowed to print receipts and I have to see someone in a black shirt? Why not have people that can do both? You don't have to be a specialist to see this is wasting the customer's time and their resources. The Customer service rep that "assisted" us was so belittling and acted as if we weren't there for a service. His body language expressed annoyance and was very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. He was giving one word answers when asked a question. Then we ask what other options they offer and he says "I don't know, I'd have to check". Why would you have to check if this is your job and you should know these things prior to customers coming in? You will not get far in customer service trying to insult someone's intelligence. Then we told him we'd just go look online since there was listings of internet options and he responded with an attitude and raised his voice saying to look online then, while slamming his hand on the desk, the follows us outside raising his voice. Cable company interactions are always such a dread. My DVR has been acting up for the last month, but I didn't want to let my recordings go so I held out replacing it as long as I could. Sadly, two nights ago, it finally clucked out on me and all my 60+ episodes of Jeopardy were lost, along with my other go-to shows, and the recording of the Golden State Warriors finals run. My heart was broken, but all was not lost. Instead of opting for a technician to come out, I called Cox to see if I could just go to a Cox store and replace the DVR, and just call back if I had any further issues. Luckily, this place was open until 7pm on a Friday night. The whole process was extremely painless. There was no wait and on top of giving me a replacement DVR in an easy-to-carry box, the representative also put some credit on my account for my trouble. Service was fast and friendly. There was another customer in there having internet trouble and I would say that customer was not interacting very nicely to the rep or listening to the solutions he had to offer. That rep stayed calm and level-headed, and didn't show a tinge of frustration. There was also someone else experiencing the same issues as me, and he was also in and out as fast as I was. I would say though that Cox as a company overall needs to provide better equipment to their customers who are shelling out a lot of money to them on a monthly basis. RIP recordings. I went home and installed my new DVR and did my best to set all the recordings I previously had. Let's hope this new DVR lasts! read more
