Cox sucks Cox. I have had them for a little over a year now and they've staggered my internet speed when gaming. First it started out with my streaming and casting to my TV. I called customer service and they told me to reset my router and did the ladt said it was my TV. My TV casted fine from my previous house when I was with another provider but now it's like they're kicking my devices off from the internet or slowing it down to get me to upgrade. I went in on a very busy Monday morning. People lined up as soon as the store was open for business. The manager was surprisingly kind calm efficient, and helpful. I don't leave reviews very often, but I appreciate when people try to have a good attitude in spite of difficult circumstances. While the manager was helping me, other agents were helping folks do simple things like paying their bills. One staff was offering to help an elderly customer navigate paying the bills online in the future. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Cox is an absolute HORRIBLE company! They only only offer competitive promotional pricing to new customers for the first 2 years. After that, they will hike your bill up another $30-$60 with out mentioning it to you. My poor parents were paying $225 a month for 250Mbps, Cable TV, & a Landline(that they no longer have)! This is absolutely absurd!! When I tried to help my parents lower their bill with Cox, They offered to lower it to $175, but assured me that I needed to keep all their services to get the bundle price.. I ended up looking up other Internet service providers and found That OEC Fiber is offering Fiber internet for $55 a month(Not a promotion so the price wont shoot up) with no hidden fees! I acquired them a TV streaming service for far less than Cox Cable! If you are thinking about getting Cox, STAY AWAY!!! & if you already are a customer, SWITCH IMMEDIATELY!! read more

I have had the worst experience of my life with a supposedly reputable business with Cox cable. I was moving to a brand new home in Norman so I wen the solutions store to transfer service a week in advance thinking that should be plenty of time. They assured me it would only be a few days before they did it. After 5 days I contacted the store and the run around begins. Since my address is new and not listed on their records or what ever, they have to send the request through their "back Office". Well nobody at the store can give me a clue as to when they will be able to install. So I keep calling and paying personal visits to the store because I run a business from home and have to have internet, So one person after another feeds me some line about how they are handling it and nothing ever happens. Finally after 8 days of this crap, I get contacted with a hard time set to install. They will be out in two more days they say between 1 and 3. The tech will call you before they come out to assure someone will be there. I say great, finally getting something done. I cannot wait any longer, it is getting ridiculous. We Friday rolls around and I never hear from anyone so I call and get someone at the solutions store telling me the tech is on his way. So after another hour I call back saying nobody ever called or came so they give me another line of BS about that guy should not have told you that, Call this other number. Anyway, this is a very long story so I am trying to be brief. I find out after being on the phone for an hour with the main cox number that the tech came to my house and nobody was home. Well they never called and thus nobody was home. So I am beyond furious now and they only say, well we can get someone out there in 6 days from now at the earliest. REALLY!!!! That is the best you can do? I immediately called AT&T and have someone coming in two days. So now I have to suffer through another weekend with no internet or TV after two full weeks of BS from Cox. They are so big that they don't not care about my problems, but I am now on a mission to tell everyone I possibly can not to use them ever. I am a consultant to new home buyers, so that will be substantial. If I could give them 0 stars I would. read more

Evaluate your tv And internet providers. If you have access to anything else, utilize the alternative to Cox.

Cox is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They take forever to respond to a service request and when you bring this issue up with customer service they do not care at all and they do little to help. In the future when I am not oobligated to work with a specific company COX will be the last company I will ever pick even if they are the cheapest...their quality of service definitely comes with the price. Cheap/Full of it=4.51 Mbps speed. I would highly advise against choosing COX as your provider. read more

Absolute joke and waste of time. We scheduled an appointment a week in advance to have internet set up. The technician was supposed to come between 3-5pm and at 4pm we calle to find out where he was since we did not receive a follow up call. We were told he was on his way. At 4:45pm we called to find out if he was close, as our appointment time frame was nearing, and we were told the technician came and noted both my husband and I's vehicles in the driveway, but "no answer." We left our front door open the entire time and I was sitting on the couch doing homework. The technician lied, and it is my assumption he wanted to start his weekend early, so he did a drive by and claimed "no answer." After being on hold for nearly 30 minutes and being transferred 5x and repeating our story, a supervisor stated she would reschedule for today between 10am-12pm. At 11:00pm we called to find out where our guy was and the customer service rep said they would be her shortly, right. At 11:58am we we called to find out where he was, and after being put on hold for 45 minutes and being transferred 3x we were told the supervisor never put in a reschedule, she made a note. After I specifically communicated three times that someone would be coming tomorrow and she stated yes. What a freaking joke. They now are saying that they can't get anyone out to us until next week on Tuesday. My husband and I are full time employees and students. We do not have hours on end to sit around waiting for a person that obviously cannot be trusted to show up and do their job. Absolute joke. read more
