The Tacos are AMAZING here! It was my first time trying this Mexican Shop and it did not disappoint. I have tried the Carne Asada, Pollo Asada and the Carnitas. All three meats were fresh and flavorful. The salsa is the perfect about of heat and with a squeeze of limes makes the tacos so yummy. The tacos are packed with a lot of meat so be prepared to use a fork or make another taco with the leftover meat if possible. I ordered through UberEats so I didn't get a chance to check out this restaurant fully, but after trying these tacos...I definitely will need a dine in experience. I have now ordered twice from here and the tacos were so delicious both times! My food was hot, napkins, limes, salsas and even a fork! I appreciate that. read more

First time here stopped in to get a drinks 1 piña Aqua and a Jamaica such a good drink not watered down my piña has fresh piña fruit too. Only a Few customers here and wasn't hungry so I got a bean burrito. Very nice man at cashier and he ask I wanted cheese I say no not this time. There has been an ownership change at this suite in the Kearny Plaza. The previous taqueria has departed and been replaced with Contodo Fresh Mexican Eats which I believe has another branch operating in the southeastern part of SD. During the pandemic, its predecessor set up some covered outdoor seating in front of the suite that has been retained. It more than doubled the capacity of the inside seating which consisted of several two-top tables. Two menu screens hung behind the service counter. To the left of the counter was an area where three dispensers held different flavors of agua frescas. No self-service condiments bar was available as you had to ask for specific types of salsa which they gladly provided. One screen listed the burritos, mulitas, quesadillas, tortas, and breakfast items. The other screen displayed the plates, tacos, sides, and fries/chips. For my takeout order, I selected an Adobada plate. The grilled bits of marinated pork were served with guacamole, lettuce, pico de gallo, and three tortillas (corn was my pick). Mexican rice and refried beans were provided as sides. The amount of food for this plate was reasonable, however I found the meat to be salty for my palate. I didn't even use the salsa verde that I requested because additional flavor was unnecessary. I gave a rating between three and four stars for my visit to Contodo Fresh Mexican Eats. read more

Contodo is not open in Kearney Mesa taking over the "Yesenia's" location on Clairemont Blvd. That is a good thing because they make some good Mexican grub. I had a couple of Poblano tacos, one of their vegetarian options on the menu. Even though I am not a vegetarian, these tacos were delicious indeed. The taco came with tender strips of Poblano peppers, corn, onions, cheese, and a Mexican crema or similar to "rajas." The tacos had great flavor and texture. They came on hand made house corn tortillas, which were very good. I do recommend that they make sure they are consistent on the tortillas. One was at a perfect thickness and the other was paper thin and translucent in areas. The hospitality was very good. The young man at the counter was welcoming and friendly. The eatery offers inside and outside seating, Bottled beer is available. read more

This place needs a Michelin Star! This is what GREAT Mexican food is all about. There are few restaurants where you will get fresh, handmade corn tortillas. They are so flavorful & nutritious that you can eat them with no filler. We started with three tacos & then the Server/Owner recommended a fourth & we could not say no. "Con Todo" means "with everything" which is the ONLY way to eat tacos; limon, cilantro, onion & guacamole. The carnitas was fantastic, as were the chicken & adobada but the cherry on top was the Poblano taco (vegetarian). Their house salsas were also excellent. This is a "MUST-GO-TO" place, not crowded on weekends (yet). Grab a cold beer for $5 & come back for TACO TUESDAY; 3 tacos $9! This is the BEST food I have had all year, regardless of cuisine. Con Todo Mexican Eats is legit. Came for the birria tacos and they did not disappoint - super rich consomé, meat is tender, tortillas have that perfect crisp. The birria ramen was a fun twist and actually works. Portions are big and the aguas frescas are on point. Place gets packed so expect a wait during lunch rush, and seating is limited. Prices are a little higher than your taco shop but the quality backs it up. Worth it if you're craving elevated street food in San Diego. read more

This place serves good food, don't get me wrong. But this is the 2nd time they messed up my order. And I don't live close. My drive is minimum 20m from here. Today, I ordered carne asada fries with extra sour cream & pico on the side. I get home. The plate had no sour cream, they put the sour cream on the side so I paid an extra $1.50 just for them to put the sour cream and pico on the side. The first time they didn't give me any sour cream for my burrito when I paid extra for it. This is frustrating. read more

Came down to Kerny Mesa to visit the Volvo dealership. We had a hankering for a breakfast burrito. I put breakfast burrito into my maps app and 4 different places popped up nearby, but Contodo had some great reviews so we decided to check it out. We shared the Killerr Burrito and we were so glad we did! It was huge and super tasty. They cut it in half for us, which was so nice. She also gave us some fresh chips which were exceptional! Loved the salsas! No shortage of crispy chunky bacon and ham in there. Creamy cheese, delicious tender potatoes stood out as top notch as well! I definitely want to come back for their torta. Opened recently in this location and I have to say their food and service is excellent. First time I got the meat platter with carne asada. It came with corn tortillas, rice and beans. The food is excellent, the meat is tender and flavorful and not overly salty like other places. Rice and beans were flavorful as well. The corn tortillas are hand made and fresh and don't fall apart. Second time I got the carnitas torta. It was a huge sandwich with the pork being flavorful and juicy. I could only eat half. It's now on our regular lunch rotation. Also the carrots are great. Got a crunch to them and not soggy like other places with a little spicy kick to them. My lunch buddies came specifically to get the carrots. We will definitely be back! read more

This five-star review is mainly for the super friendly female worker who was at the restaurant on July 1 evening. Our group of 9 people finished dinner and wanted to find a place to watch the World Cup USA vs. Bosnia (go USA!). This Mexican restaurant is right next to our dinner place and it has a total of three TVs! We walked in and saw the lady mopping the floor and thought they're closing. Yet she was so friendly and told us to sit anywhere freely to watch the game. After knowing our intention is to watch the World Cup she turned on all the TVs and switched from a Spanish speaking channel to English channel so we could understand. She even allowed us to stay past the closing hour and was willing to stay beyond time if needed. The nine of us only ordered a fries because we were already very full. The lady didn't mind the small order and served us cheerfully and with additional trays for us to share. The fries were good and was fully loaded with a lot of toppings! Even after a full meal we still munched most of it! It was a pleasant time to be there during the game and yay, the US won! Thank you, kind lady, for hosting us and going above and beyond.
