From my very first phone call with Frankie, I felt like I was talking to a longtime friend. He took the time to listen to exactly what I needed, helped me put together the perfect menu, and was honest, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Second time I visited this place and I have been very impressed by the consistency and the deliciousness of the food. I would highly recommend the ground beef and chicken kabobs (see pics)...they come on a bed of very fluffy and flavorful rice, creamy hummus, fresh tubule and a warm pita bread. The Gyro Sandwich got rave reviews, too. We were eyeing the flatbreads that our neighboring table ordered - they looked delicious. Growing up with Middle Eastern food, it's always hard to find a restaurant that hits out of the park with all their dishes (especially the tabbouleh) - but everything tasted like it was made in grandma's kitchen. I used to come more often when the predecessor to Tigris Mediterranean Grille operated out of this suite. At a recent visit, I arrived right before closing time which allowed me to place a takeout order to bring home for dinner. Plenty of parking was available because the volume of customers at the neighboring businesses in the Overland Center was low. Lunch hour is a different story as there are limited spots for all to share. The interior was brightly lit and had a seating capacity for close to 50 customers. My choice was a Beef Tikka plate which came as two grilled skewers of seasoned beef, two pieces of pita bread, hummus, tabbouleh salad, grilled peppers, grilled onions and yellow basmati rice. The quantity of food was sufficient for the price. I really liked the hummus which wasn't too tangy. The beef was tender, but it could have used more marinade. Compared to another Middle Eastern eatery less than a block west, the flavors and seasoning were not quite as prominent. That was what kept my rating of Tigris Mediterranean Grille to less than four stars. read more

TASTY FOOD BUT I GOT OVER CHARGED (3.5 stars) A colleague told me to check out the Mediterranean spot. I didn't realize I came to the wrong one (I meant to go to Tahini). I knew something was off when I walked in because I didn't see bowls or sandwiches and only saw big plates. My charge for a salad and a drink came to $27.23 and didn't realize until after I left. I remember putting in my card, giving $3 tip, and then I pulled my card out early. So I had to re-insert it again and it quickly changed my card. I even asked the employee "did it tip? Because I didn't see the tip window come up and she said yes and thank you. So I thought, ok, the $3 went thru. But after calculations... I got over charged. TIGRIS SALAD ($15.50) - Spring mixed greens, dried cranberries, red onion, candid pecans, as well as crumbled blue cheese (I opt out in blue cheese). Raspberry vinaigrette on the side. This salad was gigantic! It was hard to eat as a salad and I was NOT fan of trying to eat everything together. My choice of protein was the chicken shawarma and that was so tender and flavorful. The chicken toppled over my entire salad and the walnuts layered under neath and then the salad at the bottom. I had to pick at it, eat a bunch of chicken first, then a few walnuts, and eat some salad. I couldn't eat this at work because it would have been messy. I ended up waiting hours before eating it at home where I could deconstruct it and mixing it together to be able to eat. From there, it was good and the raspberry dressing was delicious. DRINK - I ordered a bottled Fanta and that is probably only a couple dollars. So shouldn't my bill be around $18-20????? I'll be sure to go to Tahini next time. read more

Was in the mood for kabob and this was close to us. Me and my two buddies came here and were instantly greeted. The cashier explained the menu to us and we made our order. We all shared the chicken shawarma pizza, it was amazing. I got the combo plate which hit the spot ! My buddy got the gyro sandwich and he got so much gyro in his sandwich he loved it ! I come by this plaza all the time for lunch but never tried Tigris until recently. At first I thought their plates were pricey, but then I saw how loaded they were when they came out! You can get multiple meals out of one plate...maybe 2-3 depending on your appetite, so I think it's actually pretty decent value. I tried the chicken shawarma and gyro plates and both were delicious! Meat was tender and flavorful and a good portion of hummus. Staff was super friendly as well. I love this place. I come here with my coworkers from the hospital at least once every couple months. The portions are huge and they don't skimp on the meat/ toppings. Their flavors are so fresh and the sauces are dressings are clearly made in house. We love getting the flatbreads which come with either amazing veggies or an insane amount of chicken shawarma. The chicken can be a bit dry so we lean more toward the veggies. The veggies are soo good though- perfectly seasoned and cooked, never soggy, and with an amazing charred taste. We always ask for sauce on the side and the combo or the creamy yogurt and the little kick of the spicy sauce is so perfect. Three of us share the flatbread and a salad and are satisfied with that. The salads are great- fresh and with delicious dressings but a little pricey for me. A lot of the other options are more pricy, I think the flatbread is the best bang for your buck. It can take a little longer to make so we always call ahead. We do take out but always have great service. The guys know we like our sauce so they always make sure to include that for us. The location of the shop can get kinda hectic because parking isn't great and there are a lot of businesses in a small area. The restaurant itself has plenty of seating though.
