There were a good amount of happy hour drink specials & fun Greek meze offerings. Sometimes you want a full meal & sometimes you want to snack, sip & graze. Meze delivered exactly that experience. We opted for the cilantro jalapeño hummus with pita chips & it was not your ordinary hummus. Savory, creamy & packed with flavor, it had just the right hint of spice to keep things interesting. Then we added their signature hot sauce & suddenly things went from delicious to downright craveable. Meze made for the perfect kickoff to our afternoon of food & drinks in the Gaslamp District. Definitely a place we'd return to on our next San Diego trip! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

We were seated fairly quickly (outside) and our server was attentive. Thankfully it wasn't too hot and they had umbrellas to give us some shade. Both items ordered (chicken kabob and hummus) were decent. Chicken was juicy. Hummus, pretty standard. One star was taken off because the pita bread was too cakey/soggy and the rice was rather bland. Otherwise, it was nice environment and place for lunch and reprieve in the midst of comicon madness.

We were initially aiming for the crispy shawarma however only Mira Mesa and La Mesa does it. So I guess that's next on our list! The wraps were unexpectedly big! This is probably the biggest wrap I ever had! Generous with meat and veggies. Their wagyu egg rolls are definitely must have! Falafel fries is really good too! All of these perfectly paired with their garlic sauces. My favorite is spicy lemon garlic! The staff are very knowledgeable about their menu. It's a food truck set up and there's mini standing tables for alfresco dining. SG was definitely lived up to the title #1 restaurant in the country on Yelp!

Not really an ambience since there's not much as far as a dining room. There are a couple of cocktail tables where you could eat. After ordering online at 20:20pm, my estimated pick up time was 8:39pm and got the order at 9:03pm. The cashier informed me their chicken is taking a while and added extra time to the wait. It probably would've been faster if they weren't so backed up. I ordered the Wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate for me and my wife to share. I added 3 falafels and pita bread on top of it. The food was still fresh when I got home 15 mins later. Everything was good and just enough for us two. Also, I'm not sure why there's a range of where they may be located on Yelp since this is just a food truck that seems to be permanent at this location.

I got the Greek Combination plate to try two different meats. The whole plate was awesome!!! Gyro was very tasty. The salad was very good! Usually I'm skeptical about a salad when it comes to a plate but this was very good. The Serrano Tzatziki sauce he recommended was SO GOOD! Glad I finally gave this place a try. Inside the restaurant, there are plenty of seating and there is also outdoor seating. I ordered the Gyros Plate for takeout which came to $28. Evan was kind enough to provide an extra tzatziki sauce and utensils when I asked. One thing I found surprising was the 3.89% credit card fee so bringing cash would be a better option. The portion of the gyro meat was generous, but the pita bread and the rice portions felt a bit small by comparison. The gyro meat itself was very salty which lead me to reach for water throughout my meal. The rice pilaf was flavorful and ended up being my favorite part of the plate. Unfortunately, the Greek salad was dressed with too much vinaigrette making it soggy and slightly unpleasant to eat. The olives tasted old and had a bad aftertaste. The tzatziki sauce is also very watery. For the price of the meal and my experience, it didn't meet my expectations. The food quality felt short and I don't plan on returning. This will be my first and likely my last visit.

Happy Memorial Day:…read more My Mom and I decided to pay our respects for the fallen on Memorial Day at Fort Rosecrans so off we went . The day was a mix of clouds and sun so it ended up still being nice weather . The drive out there was not that crowded so that was a good thing. I was able to find parking up front so we would not have to walk so far. We paid our respects and left and needed something to eat for an early dinner. We did not know where to go so we decided on Georgia's Greek Cuisine in Point Loma. I ordered a giro sandwich and my Mom ordered soup, salad, and pita bread. Sorry, I was so busy eating I forgot to take a photo of my giro sandwich. Darn! The food tasted so fresh and homemade. It was outstanding! I also loved the Greek music playing in the background to feel like you are transported somewhere in Greece The place is decorated with Greek paintings and a Greek statute. They also have a vase of bright and beautiful carnation flowers. Many windows in their restaurant to make it bright and airy. The girl named Victoria who seated us and also took our order was friendly and professional. She gave us a free dessert also which was so sweet of her! This place is the best Greek spot in every way.

I read a review from another Yelp Elite and they talked about how they came here with their mom and they really enjoyed it. Upon entry we were greeted by the staff and it was a wonderful sign that they had really good customer service. It's a very nicely decorated Greek restaurant. There is an indoor seating area that can see probably about 25 or 30 people. Also, there's a patio adjacent to the indoor dining room and it's a covered patio for dining that looked like it may see more people in the inside. The outside patio is decorated with a lot of plants and it just looks like a Greek Courtyard type setting. We ordered: 1 Gyros Plate, Olives and Feta Appetizer, and 1 Arnold Palmer and 1 Iced Tea. The olive feta appetizer plate came out first and it had fresh pita bread with it. The gyros plate came out shortly after and it had large slices of gyros meat, Greek salad, and buttered rice. Everything was very tasty and delicious. Our server had really good customer service and she frequently checked on us to make sure that we had what we needed. I did note that there is a lot of nice traditional Greek music playing in the background like the other Yelper indicated. This adds a really nice touch to the environment and the ambience of the experience. Overall, it was nice to come here. Service was quick and good. Food was tasty and freshly made. I plan to come back to try the Dolmades. I love those.

I enjoyed everything and even took leftovers, as the portions are big. I was mesmerized by the fantastic lemon soup with rice and their salad with fresh Feta cheese. The owner is extremely friendly. The food is classic Greek cafe/diner food. My friend and I ordered a gyro pita sandwich, a small Greek salad, and a chicken kabob with a side of tzatziki. Everything was awesome! The meats were seasoned and flavorful, the salad super fresh, and the tzatziki was incredibly well-crafted. This is a low-key, no-frills Greek joint in the heart of an overly gentrified area, but it holds its own and has for years. The interior isn't going to wow you, but it will transport you back to the 90s and make you feel like you're at home and welcome. Definitely come by and try out some of the items! The baklava is really good here as well.
