I rarely leave a bad review, and this is more a message to management. Today's experience was not good. I was pretty understanding of the systems being down and orders having to be written by hand. I was even ok with waiting for 40 minutes as my order wasn't completed. What is truly disappointing is coming home only to discover I was given only part of my order. Tonight it was apparent there was no management to be found to help keep the place somewhat organized. Coyo Taco is probably the best Mexican food you can find in Miami. It is not like California Mexican food but it is pretty good. I suggest shrimp tacos, shrimp quesadillas, and carne Asada burrito. It is always crowded so try go there earlier than the usual lunch and dinner time. read more

Let me start off by stating that the food isn't the problem. I called ahead on my lunch break and asked for specific instructions on my tacos no sauce etc. I get there open my lunch and there's everything I said I didn't want on it. That's fine, so I speak to the manager a young lady who apologizes and says she's going to redo the order ok, now my lunch time is getting cut but fine, I grab the order and now no longer having time for lunch planning to eat at my desk. I get to work and there's sauce all over it. I called and the same manager said she'll have someone deliver it to me correctly. 2 hours later no one has delivered anything... I call and to my surprise they tell me that no one was coming hey changed their plans because of the distance. I of course have not ate lunch at that point in time it's like 330pm. I get upset ask to speak to the manager and the level of incompetence that I received amazed me. She asked the store manager if they could pay the Uber eats fee ($3) to have it delivered to my job and after holding for 20 mins he told her no right after that, the manager hung up in my mid sentence and never answered the ten times I called right after. I've been coming to lunch here for several years and as of late, the place has been a little disorganized and dirty. I understand there's a huge serge of customers but they could clean after each party leaves a little better. Also, the last two times I came here the tacos came out cold. First I want to say the food is always great, very authentic Mexican food. I've ordered from the brickell location many times usually the carne asada bowl. Last night I order the carne asada bowl and I get half the amount of food I normally get. At the moment I couldn't help but think that since this location has become more established now they don't have to serve the portions they used to. They drastically cut back the portion size which new clients wouldn't be aware of. I hope that was a one time occurrence because I really do like the place just not last night. read more

I'm sad to have to write a negative review about Coyo because I do love the food and was very excited to have it so close my brickell office. However, from a customer service standpoint, they are in need of some major improvement. They need to fix their phone situation immediately. I tried numerous times to call to place a large order for pick-up and never had a human answer. I gave up and walked over to place the order which was for a work meeting for 10 people. I asked about their phone and I just got a shrug saying they didn't take orders over the phone unless they were large orders. This may have made sense if they had actually picked up the phone to determine if my order met their large order criteria. I came back to the office to our lunch meeting and I had an entire lunch order missing, one wrong taco order and the organic salad missing half its ingredients. I had the itemized receipt and was indeed charged for everything. We had a meeting to run so I couldn't go back to get the food order corrected. Maybe if they answered their phone they could have addressed the error and delivered the missing food. But obviously they don't answer their phones at all and this wasn't the case. So I came back after work and after waiting a while for a manager to come assist me, all they offered was credit for the missing food and wrong salad and proceeded to explain that no one answers their phone when no one is in the manager's office. WHAT?!?! I don't find this to be acceptable customer service by any stretch of my imagination. Very disappointed. read more

This new location in Brickell is the ideal lunch spot. While sadly i have never visited their Wynwood location, I am fortunate enough to work next door to this location. For starters, the downside: The tacos are a bit expensive but hey, its Brickell. My favorite taco spot has always been a small place in Little Havana, but this competes very well. They have a wide variety of tacos made to order on fresh tortillas. The carne asada and chicken tacos are my favorite by far. Its a great atmosphere and a must stop location if you are in the area. read more

The posted hours of operations are not accurate. My friends and I along with 2 other groups of people arrived at 1:40 and were told they were closed when it clearly states the closing is at 2. Additionally the people working there were beyond rude telling us their manager said they were closed. When we asked to speak to the manager one of the employees proceeded to rudely informed me that the manager didn't want to speak to me. Terribly unprofessional. We walked 10 min for Coyo. We will not be returning to this establishment. For a place with such a good reputation this experience has been extremely disappointing. I come here all the time. At least once a week- I need my fix. Their micheladas are top notch, and the food and ambiance are fantastic. Staff is very friendly- shout out to Dmitri! I usually get the grouper frito tacos (fried fish) and my boyfriend loves the alambre tacos (the inside is almost like a queso pocket filled with steak and bacon)- very tasty. I recently reached out to Coyo Taco (Wynwood) for catering services for an event I was running for my team. Immediately I was introduced to Alicia who was an absolute delight to work with. She guided me through the entire experience. She made suggestions that would best fit my team's dietary needs, sent the invoice promptly, and followed up with me multiple times on the date of delivery. I assumed I was to set everything up as is the case with most delivery services, but boy was I wrong! Joe came through and set up our entire taco bar and elevated the whole event to the next level. The portion sizes were more than enough for our entire team to take home and the taste was superb. Afterwards, Alicia followed up again to make certain we enjoyed the service. I got food poisoning from dinner here last night. I had the Carnitas de pato burrito bowl and Esquite. I woke up with a terrible pain in my stomach and was in the bathroom all night vomiting and with the runs. Not worth it. The food also was disappointing. The carnitas were dry and the esquite was too mayonnaisey. Also, it was so hot because they just had the doors wide open with no AC and flies were flying all around our food. A long line when nothing is happening, just no sense of urgency from the girl taking orders, super slow. After 15 min standing there I ordered 2 burritos, 1 fish and 1 steak both with extra guacamole for which I was charged. Food came out 5 min later. On one burrito it was written "Fish" I opened it and started eating only to realize after 2 bites that it was the steak one. It was also cold and had no guacamole. Come on man! Being in the area and based on the high number of good reviews we decided to give this place a try. It's not bad, not at all, it's just that its way overpriced. First, it's more of a Tex-Mex place so if you're looking for Mexican fare this is not the place for you. Between a burrito and two orders of tacos plus the drinks we spent close to $40 and while this doesn't sound too high bear in mind that when I say a burrito and four tacos I literally mean that, no extras, no sides, nothing, nada, so a $14 burrito is just that, a mid-sized burrito without anything else. I guess Brickell's high rent costs is the reason behind such absurd prices. Quality wise, the meals were OK, nothing spectacular and frankly not much different from other more moderately priced options like Moe's and other chains whose name elude me now. Service was good as the place wasn't too busy so I don't know how it is during their busy times. Bottom line for me: I would return only if I happened to be in the area, need a quick meal. I don't plan on returning to this or Coyo Taco's other locations as I suspect products and pricing are the same. read more
