My daughter insisted we stop on here during our way thru Amarillo- so we dropped by today right after they opened. When you walk in, If they have a table available, they will direct you to it, otherwise they will take your last name and tell you to go back outside and wait until they call your name. The menu is fairly straightforward so orders turned around pretty quick and it was a maximum of 20 to 25 minute wait to turn a table. My husband ordered the Hell burger which had the hot sauce on it and I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were absolutely fantastic as well as the shoestring fries were very good! Hubs really liked that his burger had a ton of peppers on it as well as the hot sauce so he felt like he was getting his daily vegetable allotment, lol! The service was actually pretty quick again, I believe this is because the menu was super simple and they had a ton of regulars coming in. You can also order to go if you don't want to wait as several people did, and my understanding is the packaging is fantastic so just as good as if you were sitting in the restaurant. The place is super small and there are tons of stuff on the wall so it's an interesting place. Service was friendly and efficient and now we can check this one off our checklist that we have been here when driving through Amarillo!

Don't let the look of the outside scare you away. The food is really good. It's a typical hole in the wall with vintage decor and maybe 15 tables. We sat right down but by the time we left there were groups waiting outside for a table. The servers were busy and worked quickly. We had a Mushroom Swiss and a California Burger and a basket of fries and onion rings. The burgers are huge and cooked perfectly. Don't wear your nice clothes because these are drippy, messy burgers and that's what makes them so good. The fries are fresh cut and seasoned well. The onion rings were also really good.

Quaint establishment, showed up on a Thursday evening and there was only a couple of tables open. Had a burger bar vibe without tbe drunks. Got the bacon cheese burger on an onion roll with fries. Burger was made fresh and to my desired wellness. (Nice touch). Price was reasonable for what I got. They have a Burger from Hell, maybe next time, but tried the hot sauce. It was spicy but still had a flavor. Good for Fry dipping. Will be back

My favorite burgers hands down. Whenever I visit Amarillo I make a point to stop here at least once. I eat a wide variety of foods from all over and yet there's something about a burger from Coyote Bluff that just hits the spot. It's an appropriately rustic dinning area with a distinct if not unassuming exterior. Come here is your in the mood for burgers. You won't regret it!

No it's not a set for a Stephen King movie. It's a run down relic of days gone by. The joint lost its luster decades ago, but the food is mediocre. Boss lady and I were driving through town and believed all the hype. The joint is small, dirty, and the floors uneven but that's what makes this joint appealing to some. I ordered a chili cheese bacon burger and she a regular cheeseburger. They tasted ok, nothing overwhelming. As some reviewers have commented, their patties are overcooked and dry. The fries and onion rings were good. One and done. There are better burger joints to visit.

Coyote bluff Cafe is not fine dining, but you can't get a better meal in Amarillo! This " hole in the wall" definitely delivers! My husband and I just finished feasting on a phenomenal California burger & a chili dog with onions and fried Jalapeño, along with a side of onion rings, and fries. Oh my Gosh! I can't actually pick my favorite be use they all came out steaming hot & perfectly prepared. Also, the portions were so generous. This. You gotta try it!

Hooooooowl, yip-yip, hooowl! That's coyote for, "BEST BURGER ALERT! Fun Fact: Just how we use Yelp to communicate to other foodies where they best food in town is, coyotes use a series of howls and yips to communicate with one another. All coyote talk aside, this spot is where to go for a burger. They dish out half pound patties of all styles: Old Fashion, Old Fashion Cheese, Hickory, Dijon Swiss, Hickery, Blue Cheese, Green Chili, Chili, Mushroom Swiss, etc. There's quite the selection if you ask me! My husband and I did the Hickory Burger, add Bacon because that's the move for 90s kids who grew up with Carl's Jr. and In-N-Out. It had tangy bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and cheese. Basically, it was like a Double Double met a Bacon Western Cheeseburger. The burger was plump, juicy and howling with flavor! Of course, you can't bluff that the service and ambiance doesn't also make your visit. Our waitress had classic southern charm about her. She made us feel like a local, even though it was our first time. Super sweet woman! The ambiance was everything a burger joint should be. It had a dollar bill wall of customers who had visited and the menu chalked up on a blackboard. It was nothing fancy, just a real down-to-earth fun vibe. Going back? YIIIIIIIIP, that's... "hands down" in Coyote.

We took the advice of many previous reviewers on our way through to NM and so glad we did! The burgers and fries were incredible. Service was so quick. From when we walked in the door to burgers on our table was 12 mins, making it a delicious but quick pit stop on our 10 hour road trip. Like that's faster than a drive thru these days! All the burgers are 1/2 pound, and my husband added a second patty for $5.50. I had the green chile burger, and it was mild as promised but tasty!

Food is outstanding. Service was good! I loved the vibes of the lil place. Wanted to try something outside the norm of the "tourist attraction" restaurant in Amarillo and was so glad we did.

Great dive Update: Passed through Amarillo again and couldn't leave without stopping by Polly's. Got a T-Shirt this time around, specially delivered from the back store room. I had the pleasure of getting beat by a local pool legend, Chris, to the sound of Johnny Cash on the jukebox. Judy, the bartender brought out some of her own specialty cocktail concoctions on the house and they were delightful and sweet, just like her. This is my second time at Polly's and I can now attest to her consistency. I will never pass through Amarillo without stopping by Polly's.

Come in, swing by the cigarette machine before you find your way to a creaky leather chair and let the years begin to wind backward. The food overall was excellent, but the steak was definitely the highlight for me. I had read some of the other reviews before visiting, including some that were not very positive. However, I have to say that our experience was nothing like those reviews. We had a great experience from start to finish. What makes this place even better is that it is more than just a steakhouse. They have a great bourbon and whiskey selection, a really cool Western atmosphere, live music, and a dance floor. It has a fun, lively feel that makes it a great place to enjoy a meal and then stick around for the rest of the evening. The staff were friendly, and the entire experience was excellent.
