WOW...what a fun area! It reminded me of Chico downtown with restaurants and cute shops! I first stopped in here. It's a cute pub and grill focusing on alot of Irish beers. Very casual atmosphere. I had the shepherd pub tots which were really good. Because I was traveling I had them put the shepherd pie on the side so it would stay better. On our most recent visit, we tried the bavarian sampler, and it completely blew us away. Every bite was packed with flavor, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Over the years, Sutter Buttes Brewing has become one of our favorite comfort spots, whether it's during the fall, winter, or summer. The staff was rude, the food took an unusually long time to come out even though the restaurant wasn't busy, and they even brought us the wrong order. To make matters worse, they still charged us for the incorrect food. After reading other recent reviews, it's clear that our experience wasn't an isolated incident. Many people are describing the same problems. I sincerely hope the owner takes these reviews seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve the restaurant, because it has a lot of work to do.

We even showed a passport which she refused to look at and said "IDs only". Like a federal ID isn't enough somehow?? We have been there every weekend for the past 3 weeks, never seen this girl, and all of a sudden refuses to serve us because one person has a completely valid ID, and she just wants to cause chaos. She refused to compare our IDs to prove the validity, and refused to budge. It was a valid ID, and the bartender was just being stubborn and didn't want to admit her mistake. It's really a shame because we live in walking distance and we're really enjoying being able to walk down and play pool and have a beer. Now we'll be going elsewhere.
