    Philly cheese steak

The best place in town. 3 dollar PBRs. Always great food! Killer dive bar ambiance but clean and comfortable!

Do your self a solid and stop at Bill's while passing Wheatland. The burgers and fries are the best tasting and deal anywhere. I had the thickest and tastiest burger with fries after hanging some fence wire. The bartender and the kid making burgers in the back are really good people. They are even playing Neil Young in the box - doesn't get any better on a spring afternoon in Wheatland.

They have great food, portion sizes were big for the price. They also offer online orders!

    Burned, bitter onion rings.

Usually pretty good. It takes 5 minutes to refire onion rings. I wouldn't give these to my dog; let alone charge someone for burned food. The restaurant portion was empty when we picked up the food. Burger was ok. A bit dry, but edible.

First time here. I like this place. The owners are friendly. Came in for food. The place is a bit dark inside. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries., and unlimited soda. The food area is at the rear of the place. You order food at the counter, but the owner's wife actually took our order at the table. Was here with my wife and another friend who is a regular there. Easy parking across the street at the park. Cheeseburger was tasty but a bit dry. Would be better if the burger patty was not as thick but made bigger in diameter. It would make a better balance of ingredients. I liked it just the same. Very generous amounts of condiments. I will be back. I really want to try the steak sandwich!

We visited Crooked Lane Brewery just to sample this family owned and operated food truck superstar. The sandwich board menu had some delish options so I'm thankful our party of 6 was able to order the perfect cross section of food. I chose the chicken philly, hubs got the ribs, kids were cheeseburgers all the way. My 75 years young aunt dared to try the jalapeño poppers. We all shared a bit to get a taste of everything. Chicken Philly was pretty darn tatsy. The bread was soft and fresh. I'm usually only a fan of the cole slaw I make but i had to try this bacon cole slaw. It was simply perfect! I would have never thought I would ever utter those words about cole slaw...pigs must be flying somewhere. Cheeseburgers were solid. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Poppers were good. Not the best ever but creamy and just enough kick. Ribs were "off the hook" said my grill master husband. He bbq's about 4 times a week and he can make anything on the grill taste fire!! No pun intended..so if he likes the bbq...I'm in! Great job you guys. Can't wait until next time.

Disappointed, i returned to my car and drove back home. On the way home, i saw a gentleman BBQing some deliciously looking chicken on the corner of Erma Jean's Restaurant and I decided to investigate. The aroma of fresh BBQ chicken smelled intoxicating and the visual was mouth watering and irresistible. I walked closer and realized they were also hand pressing and cooking fresh tacos on a flat top. The young woman was unable to speak english but Vera came over and informed me that a combo comes with fresh tortillas, spanish rice, salsa, beans, and a BBQ whole chicken. For 33$, the amount of food easily could feed a couple or a small family of 4. Vera advised that he was open only on Friday's, Saturdays and Sundays. I got home, took a quick bath and sat down to eat. The sides were fresh and authentic, and the chicken was flawless. I put some Teriayki and BBQ sauce down for dipping, and the crusted charred bits that develop from a hot BBQ made this taste power-overwhelmingly outstanding. If you're ever in the area on a weekend, the chicken will be roasting and toasting. They don't have a yelp page, so hopefully they can claim this one day. 4912 Powerline Rd Olivehurst, CA 95961 5 stars.

The restaurant has that nostalgic roadside burger stand feel that instantly takes you back. We arrived just before the dinner rush, and within minutes the place was packed. The cook was friendly, attentive, and handled the sudden rush as well as anyone could. They even had to bring in another employee to keep up with the line, which says a lot about how popular this place is. I ordered the double cheeseburger. It came loaded with fresh toppings, but the beef patties were a bit underwhelming. They weren't bad by any means--they just didn't quite match the thick, juicy burgers shown in the photos. Even so, the burger was flavorful and enjoyable. The fries were a pleasant surprise. They were thick, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and excellent with a little ketchup. The real star of the meal was the strawberry milkshake. It was outstanding--thick, creamy, and packed with strawberry flavor. Easily a five-star shake and the highlight of our visit. My brother mentioned that he had stopped here years ago and remembered the burger patties being noticeably thicker, so perhaps they've changed over time. Overall, this was a solid roadside burger stop with friendly service, great fries, and an exceptional milkshake. While the burger didn't quite meet my expectations, I'd definitely stop again when passing through for a quick, satisfying meal--and I'd order that strawberry shake every single time.
