Lisa strongly encouraged us to just cancel our stay if we had questions; Lisa was rigid, sarcastic, and had no interest in devoting time to her customers. We arrived to Condotel on 8/8; we called the office to make sure we understood the new, covid check in process....unfortunately Lisa answered the phone and was very sarcastic when answering our questions. Her sarcasm was overwhelmingly apparent to our 10 and 12 year olds who could hear her over the car speakers. They were appalled at how she spoke to customers. We have booked through Condotel four times; if Lisa continues to represent Condotel in the manner in which she treated us we will take our business elsewhere. Horse Feathers Cabin was the cabin we chose; two of the three beds were literally not useable due to being harder thank rocks. The couches were old with cushions that would not stay in place; leaving us constantly sitting in the crevice of the couch. The hot tub constantly had breaker issues; the hot tub repairman stopped by, but said he was too busy to fix it. We chose this cabin for the hot tub. The outdoor picnic table was a sticker's paradise; it was not useable. The only other outdoor seating were two rusted chairs on the front porch. There was no where for our kids to ride their scooters, we saw one deer during our stay, and the highway noise left relaxing to a minimal. Lastly the view from the deck with the hot tub was of a hoarder's yard full of trash, old tires, car parts, etc. This was our least favorite cabin rental, we will not be returning.

The swimming pool and hot tub were a big draw as they were advertised as heated. The heater did not work. They charged us a $400 cleaning fee but expect us to clean before we leave AND haul trash ourselves! Do not go there. If you have to choose sleeping in your car or this, choose your car. It won't be as big an aggravation.

The home was advertised as a premium property, but what we walked into felt more like someone's neglected second home -- furnished with mismatched items, poorly maintained, and nowhere near worth the price we paid. Here are some of the issues we experienced during our stay: * The oven broke on the first morning, and despite calling at 9:30 AM, no one came until after a second call that evening. * Mattresses were old and uncomfortable * The master bed is not suitable for anyone under 5'4" because it is too high to access safely and no step is provided. The nightstand next to it was about 12" too short to be usable. * Fixtures were grimy and coated in calcium and gunk. * Bath towels were threadbare, closer to dish towels in quality. * Only two thin hot pads in the kitchen -- I actually burned myself using them. * The kitchen was poorly stocked, and many items felt dirty or greasy. There was only one mixing bowl, and we found a bag of rotting avocados in the pantry. * The dishwasher didn't clean, and the instructions said to use vinegar -- which wasn't provided -- so we had to hand-wash everything. * The refrigerator made loud noises one night and kept us awake. * Worst of all, the dryer had no lint trap, with visible internal buildup -- a major fire hazard. * No coffee or side tables in the living room, making it impractical to relax with a drink or play games. * The house was dark and poorly lit, not at all like the bright, welcoming listing photos. * We were not allowed to use the patio heaters, even though they were advertised. When we asked how to turn them on, we got a generic text saying they weren't allowed -- with no explanation. * The yard was completely overgrown and unusable. We had hoped to enjoy the outdoor space but couldn't. We attempted to resolve this directly with Hummingbird Cabins, but their staff told us management could only be contacted by email and offered no timeline or assurance of follow-up. We never received a response to our email. That is not how a professional rental company should operate. We paid for a premium experience and got a substandard one. Until this property is properly cleaned, updated, and made safe, we cannot recommend it -- and we hope the company takes our feedback seriously.

Other issues that we fixed ourselves or just gave up on included Wi-Fi password didn't match the code we were given, propane tank was to low to cook with( we went to get a replacement ourselves), broken blinds in windows, kitchen faucet leaks everywhere, not enough silverware, blender didn't work, our neighbors were so loud we could hear their entire conversation, the parking is terrible and spaces are barely able to be read even in broad daylight. Con's: - Upon our first morning of waking up there, I woke up with swelling and tingling on my hands. Thinking nothing of it (maybe it was an allergic reaction), I fell asleep the 2nd night and woke up that morning with my entire left arm left and left hand swollen, itchy, and covered in BED BUG bites. I had over 30 bites on my body... When I sent pictures and told management about it, the only thing they offered to do was inspect the unit and change the sheets... REALLY?!?!? - The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors next door yelling and children crying until 12pm at night. - For 3 nights, we paid almost $1,000. I could've gotten a much nicer place to stay at for the same price. - There was no A/C vent in the room we stayed in, so the house was practically a sauna. We tried adjusting the temperature to 70 degrees inside, the whole unit would be cool, but our bedroom was 80 degrees and would not stop blowing hot air. It was not fun... - The units were old, dirty, and grungy... they all need to be fully renovated. Overall, I would not stay here again just for the sole fact of getting bit by bed bugs. We were told to leave the windows open. It was 95 degrees out during the day. We were locked out of the house on Tuesday afternoon due to the company changing the code on us. This was because they thought we were checking out. Likely because we were given the wrong packet and why they did not have the AC fixed. TV in Media Room was not working for the ENTIRE stay. This was a main reason why we rented the home. We had to call repeatedly throughout our stay given all of these problems and were told they would "make it right." They gave us a mere $50 and we were paying over $300 per night. Owner, after saying she would make it right, refused our phone calls repeatedly after we checked out.
