I can't afford them to come twice at 50.00 per day. I've researched that the going rate is $12-$15 per 30 minute visit with your pet.?? I can't afford that kind of price at $25 for only 30-40 minutes! I decided not to go with them because I found family and friends to pet-sit for us this time. I do need a permanent solution, though. The woman who emailed was kind enough. She told me all about how they have all of these good ratings and such. But I felt deceived because she first said $25 per hour. I would've paid that if THAT was time spent with my pet while I'm away. But then it changed to me paying for "travel time"(when she'd said they had 4 people right nearby my home, in my town). Why do I pay travel time for someone who lives in the same town? I didn't really like that so much. Also, I was not happy that when I wanted to split the "hour" into 2 x 1/2 hours, I was then told I was truly only getting 30 minutes with & for my pet. Plus paying for travel to and from my home. I don't pay travel time for any other services ?? (Plumber, maid service, lawn service etc.) I will keep looking for a more permanent solution.... ***I saw the response from this company. I did not say anything untrue or unkind. I only stated my own interactions & why I did not choose them. * I want to reiterate that I did not use this company because of the reasons stated above. I I've been an elite Yelper for 10 years. I would never say anything which I did not experience first hand. I only wrote my review about my own interactions with this company. My cat is very sweet, but is very shy and when new people come to visit she always runs to the basement to hide, but when Eve came to do a walk through Butters was still around upstairs wanting to inspect the newcomer. After leaving for our vacation Eve sent me a text everyday and a couple of adorable pictures! It assured me that my house and cat were safe. Butters enjoyed their company so much that when we came home Butters was even cuddlier than she was before Eve and Shiloh gave her their love and attention. Bonnie is absolutely fantastic! She tailors her approach to each dog and its owner to ensure the two connect and communicate effectively with each other, which makes ALL the difference in training. I've taking a number of training courses with my dog and worked with various trainers, but this is the first time I've felt there's a fantastic balance between instructing the dog and instructing the human. Oftentimes a trainer excels in one and may lack in the other, but Bonnie and Alternative Canine Training excel at both, which helps owner and dog work better as a team. I highly recommend these courses and these trainers to anyone with a dog, no matter if it's a puppy ready to kick off obedience training or an adult dog that could use a brush up. And added bonus is that the class takes place in a pet store, which may be a little frustrating at first since there's a ton of distractions that your dog is working against, but stick with it and your dog will not only learn how to focus through all those distractions but obedience at home without them will be a cake walk. I highly recommend!
