Quick, friendly, cheap, diner food. We got a nice seat next to the window before the rush came in

Cute place...I was in an Air B&B right across the street. Definitely a local hangout! Got a western omelette- nothing special, but nicely prepared. Reasonable prices, nice staff.

Right on the main street of Caledonia, I ventured out here last Sunday, because who doesn't love trying a new breakfast diner? We got there around 10:45, and didn't have to wait for a seat. We were seated right by the front window. Our table was a little wobbly, but that's alright. I ordered the omelette special, which came with toast, included coffee (with the meal!), and home fries or hash browns. The meal in itself was okay. The omelette had a piece of sliced cheese melted overtop, and the home fries weren't done enough, but it was decent, and inexpensive. The coffee was on the weak side. For two meals, the bill was only $16. I think I will go back and try something different on their very large menu. I am always a big fan of eggs benedict, and they have quite a few options on their pancake/french toast section (lots of different filling/topping options). The Cozy Kitchen does sizzler skillets, breakfast sandwiches, and different egg/meat/side combinations. I will be back to sample different parts of the menu in the future.

Cozy Kitchen lives up to its name. Good food, friendly service, and small town value.

You don't go here for health food. It's heavy and high in calories but it's good! Great service and value. Ask for homemade bread.

As the name implies it is very cozy, it feels alot like your grandmother's kitchen everyone is talking and enjoying the food. I have been here 4 times and each time the food is always good and the service is great. I would highly recommend the Cozy burger for any Burger lovers, it has a special sauce that is amazing and comes with two onion rings as well. The hours I would say would be the only con but if you aren't expecting a late night place then you are fine. If your ever going through or near Caledonia definitely check this place out!

Yeah, it was about what I expected. The Cozy burger was basically a well executed generic diner burger although it would have been nice if the bun had not been so soggy that I couldn't pick it up, but I don't see that as a deal breaker by any means. I didn't have access to Yelp at the time to look through pictures because they don't offer free WiFi and the roaming reception that I had was useless, so I appreciated when the waitress let me know that the fries there tend to be on the thick side, and I opted for chips instead. The atmosphere was authentic and relaxing. One reviewer mentioned that the waitresses like to talk to each other a lot, and I'd say that was pretty spot on. At the time I didn't mind because I had time to kill before the library opened across the street, but in other circumstances I can see how other people in more of a hurry could have found it annoying to not be checked on a little more frequently. Luckily I had the exact cash amount that I needed for the bill and tip, but if I had needed change or to use a card I basically would have been held prisoner for quite a while unless I started hounding them.

Nice clean family restaurant. Went for breakfast, plenty of food. You can park in front on the street or around the corner in a parking lot.

What a delightful spot to find by accident! I was exploring the area today and happened into…read moreCaledonia, made a wrong turn and saw the sign for the Angry Rooster. I figured, heck, ya gotta try a place with a name like that! Two guys were sitting at a table outside, eating their lunch. I should have known from the size of the sandwich one guy was wolfing down that I was going to encounter more food than I could possibly consume. I was welcomed like I was a regular customer, the counter help is polite, helpful and actually quite entertaining. Once they found out I'm a photographer (the t-shirt with the camera on it was kind of a giveaway) they really opened up and we wound up talking about what I shoot. They even gave me a target to shoot that I didn't have time to go see today - but you can be sure I'll check it out on a return trip, which will be very soon. Anyway, the menu is simple - pick a meat or filling (egg salad) type of cheese (provolone is my go-to for most sandwiches) type of bread and extras. I asked for lettuce and tomato. If you don't want to configure your own sandwich, they have some standards and salads, too. And I was right - the sandwich was huge and I had trouble finishing even half of it. Most of it is in the refrigerator now! And in case I forgot to mention it, the egg salad was really, really good! If you live in the area, you're far luckier than I am. Once I leave Western New York and head for home, I'll be 700 miles away - slightly out of the Uber Eats delivery range. What? You live in the area and never went to the Angry Rooster? GO there. Don't question me, just go there. You'll thank me later.

They have a small variety of sandwiches, and the ability to create your own combination. The deli meat and rolls have always been fresh, and the sandwiches have a good amount of "stuff" on them, whatever those choices have been. I have never tried any of their other options but they have salads, soups, some vegetarian options and some house plates that always sound good, but since I generally order delivery with work I have always opted for the sandwiches. Because I have ordered in, I have never visited personally, but I have quite a few coworkers who say it is a cute little spot and worth the stop. It is not super close to me which is why I like the delivery options. But I plan to visit when in the area!
