I completed CPR training in February 2026 in Colorado and initially, the process itself was smooth…read more I can certainly acknowledge that. However, there were significant issues with the training setup that ultimately led to an injury. Due to the room configuration, I was unable to properly reach the mannequins and had to perform CPR on my tiptoes. The table was not adjustable, and no stool or accommodation was available. As a result of these poor ergonomics and lack of proper setup, I sustained a neck and trapezius injury mid-cycle. Ended up having to literally crawl on to the table . At the time, I reached out simply to provide feedback in hopes of preventing a similar experience for others especially individuals under 5 feet tall. The initial response I received was apologetic, and I appreciated that. However, after enduring five weeks of significant pain, I followed up to ask about the appropriate process before seeking medical care, as providers often ask for details about how an injury occurred. Unfortunately, the response I received at that point was defensive and dismissive, referencing a signed waiver rather than addressing the concern. The response was unfortunate. I fully understand that CPR training can be physically demanding. However, participants should be provided with a safe and properly adjusted environment to perform these skills. In this case, the setup did not allow for that and contributed directly to my injury. As a side note, I happened to have the session recorded (originally intended for social media), and it clearly shows the moment the injury occurred. Overall, I'm very disappointed in both the lack of appropriate setup and the company's response. I am still dealing with daily neck pain without resolution.

I've renewed my BLS many times with other companies, but this guy really teaches to save lives. The only issue I have is that I asked for CEU's and was never given them. Super important if you need them for a job. They never got back to me after I asked if I could get them. I also got an email stating that I'd probably pay more money, when on the website, it states they give CEU's when taking this class. Overall, class was great with a great instructor. Just a little disorganize when it comes to the CEU's. Hopefully no one has to deal with this when they need the CEU's.

Coming into class I felt rusty with my skillset, but leaving I felt confident that I would be able to provide high quality CPR in this situation. P.S. * Complaints about small classroom size not an issue; Small Groups so didnt notice. You are here to improve and learn HQ BLS. If your biggest complaint is small classroom size vs learning techniques to save individuals I would say your priorites are wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMMEND. Cons: Possible whispers Instructor Brian may retire :(

I was initially…read morehesitant because I didn't want to pay for another class after spending so much money on nursing school. When I first took my Nclex, I was overconfident and failed at 145 (maximum). I was devastated and contacted AHE a few days after seeing the F result; it was the best decision I ever made! Mr. Don not only taught the class how to better understand nursing concepts, but he also shared personal experiences, exam strategies, words of wisdom, and was constantly reminding us to be humble no matter where our license took us. I'm looking forward to his class meeting and wish it was like all of my nursing classes. He's very entertaining, full of energy, and always has a good joke to tell. I believe the stories he shared distinguished the class from others at the comprehensive review center. "Son of a gun!" was his favorite phrase. Which is what I was saying to myself during the exam when I came across a difficult question ahahaha. One of the pieces of advice he gave us on our last day of class was to use our common sense if we didn't know the answer. That, as well as everything else he taught in class, I put into practice. Ms. Mary was also attentive to all of my questions, and they treat us as if we were family. They told us about their wonderful children. Mr. Don and Ms. Mary are enthusiastic about their work. I believe that Mr. or Sir Don's class assisted me in passing the second time around and stopping at 75 this time! Most of my colleagues who passed the Nclex left the center doubting whether they passed, whereas I left the Nclex center confident that I passed! That demonstrates that I am preferred. You will pass if you follow his class process, listen carefully to his lectures, and believe in yourself that he will prepare you for the Nclex. I strongly recommend AHE Review Center; it is well worth the money!
