Absolute slop on a plate. Ordered a catered meal of turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes. The stuffing must have been made with rancid oil or butter as it smelled strongly of wheat bread and fish. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. The potatoes were tasteless and the corn was just emptied from a can with zero flavor, not even salt. They should be ashamed of the food they sent out and charged $150 for. Do not frequent this poor excuse for a restaurant. read more

This family owned restaurant is absolutely amazing I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid, I remember going in a grabbing some candy out of a cute I believe it was barrel back then but now I think it's in a vintage Coca Cola cooler. The place is very vintage on the inside you'll see tons of license plate's from I believe all fifty states and tiny toy cars along with a toy train that goes by. The food is very delicious and all the waitress are super friendly and sweet so definitely if you're in Hagaman come try this place out! read more

Fried chicken dinner was great! How great was it? Well, it was great enough to make up for the terrible straws they serve with their drinks. Marine degradable straws? Might as well be cardboard. Some train buddies of mine said this was a good place to eat when "in the area" because of their interior decorations. However, we are rarely "in the area" and as it was we were three minutes away from it and still in the middle of farm country. Perhaps it is a hidden gem, perhaps it is just a nice place for a bite, but it is in the middle of nowhere as far as I can tell. My GPS helped me find it. My wife and I came on a cold Saturday for lunch. They weren't busy when we arrived but that changed within an hour. Their menu isn't large but it had just about every form of sandwich and "hot plate special" you could think of. Their website isn't very helpful in knowing what they have, so hopefully my wife will put some of the pictures of the menu up. The prices were very reasonable. I ordered a cheeseburger club and my wife had a cheeseburger plate. We started off with breaded, fried mushrooms... one of my weaknesses. They arrived hot out of the oil but without any serving plates. This was corrected upon being asked. The side marinara sauce wasn't very good and if that is also used for their pasta and Parm. dishes I will need to remember this. My cheeseburger club was cut into quarters and came with a mountain (literally) of fries. Other sides were available upon request. Because the sandwich was cut up into small pieces, it practically fell part despite toothpicks which attempted to secure it. A fork and knife got me through, though in the future I would recommend asking that it not be cut up. My wife's cheeseburger was similar to mine. Though neither was delivered cooked as requested, they weren't dried out either. It tasted like a greasy, frozen patty and toppings (iceberg lettuce, tomato) were nothing spectacular. The fries were good frozen fries. In all, it was a decent burger and one I would have enjoyed as a child. I have since grown up and had "really good" burgers elsewhere, but at the prices CP's is charging I certainly won't complain. Dessert was a slice of pistachio cream pie, something I have never heard of before. Lots of whipped cream adorned the top, but the graham cracker crust kept falling apart so scooping up an intact forkful was difficult. Again, it was good but not great. The interior is filled with gas station, automobile, craftsman, and antique signs, rulers, plaques, models, etc. But it also features a train running around on the ceiling, trains in display cases on the walls, a side room with a train-inspired motif, and other such interesting knickknacks. It was the trains that brought me here and they made me smile. The owner combined two hobbies of his... food and trains. I respect that. For a family restaurant (and perhaps the only one in the area) this place does an good job of offering standard American family fare at fair prices. The food and friendly service are probably only worth 3 stars in my opinion, but the fact that there are trains running around on the ceiling led to me bestowing them with a fourth star. Indeed, if I am "in the area" again (and manage to find it with my GPS) I will be back. read more

Service is great, food is very good with a decent menu and daily specials. The restaurant is filled with tons of memorabilia from days gone by. I've been there many times and always see something I haven't seen before. Children enjoy the train that goes around above the restaurant complete with a whistle. It's a GREAT place to eat!! The beef and cheddar panini and patty melt are my favorite WITH their excellent macaroni salad! I highly recommend CPs. read more

I often visit this area because I have family nearby. Every time I am in the area this is where we dine. I have been to CP's many times and the food is always, always good! The prices are reasonable and the waitstaff are friendly and attentive. They have been in the business many years and appear to have a loyal following. I have yet to eat my way through their menu, so I will continue to go back time and again! You cannot go wrong by stopping at this family owned local restaurant! read more

My parents love this place! I'm visiting from out of state, & one of our first stops was this place! OMG! I can see why they love it! The decor, the food...& the staff! My food choice was a good old fashioned tuna melt! It did not disappoint! Delicious. My dad had a shrimp basket, which was a generous portion! So much so that he ate leftovers for days! The wait staff was so attentive to my parents "elderly quirks"! She even recognized my Dad, which made him do happy! I highly recommend this restaurant! I really want to love this place since I used to go here with my family as a child. Each time I go the food and service seem to get a little worse. The service is Very slow, and if you ask for any extras be prepared to get an attitude. Most of what they have here is frozen and deep fried. I ordered a fried fish dinner and out came a triangular piece of breaded frozen fish that you could buy in a box at the grocery store. We went to CP's a few days ago as we usually do. Well we're no going there again. While the food was good not ONE of the waitstaff we're wearing masks not even the owner Chuck. While the governor has an ongoing mask mandate and so many new infections for them to blandly put their patrons at risk is just uncalled for. Another good place to eat bites the dust. read more

I've gone to this restaurant throughout my whole life. It is amazing, always get a hot turkey sandwich and fries omg. The best. And they are quick!!! Always a good experience. Only issue I ever ran into was they had a change in their fries and they were not good, I haven't been there in a few months because of waiting to see if it was just a shortage on the regular ones. Great little place. I love the cars, trucks, trains and all things that go on display. The food was wonderful and plentiful. My only problem was I had a glass of red wine and it was ice cold. Dining here is like dining in a museum, there is always something interesting to catch your eye. And if that weren't enough the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced. Really cool atmosphere! It's filled with classic stuff like original gas pumps, old license plates from every state, toy trains and cars. A toy train ran around tracks hanging off the ceiling.
