Had a friend recommend this place. I decided to try this on our anniversary. From start to finish this place didn't disappoint. Notified them of certain food allergies and they were very attentive and polite to accommodate. Service was fast and very friendly. Food came out one after another, apps, soups, salads then main course. Sorry it took this long to find this place but will definitely be going back. If you haven't already tried this place WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? Give it a try.

This is my new favorite place. If my wife is to be believed, I'm a bit of a food snob. Incredibly good-looking and flawless otherwise (that's her talking, not me), but she thinks I can be a little judgmental when it comes to food. And I suppose she's right about that (and how I'm essentially perfect otherwise). Let me be clear though: I don't need fancy fare, although I've eaten a lot of it. We just all have to eat every day, and I'd rather have tasty things to eat than the alternative. And if I'm being honest, my expectations were not super high for Timeless Tavern, not because of anything they've done, but because in my experience, restaurants can be hit or miss in Hamilton County. Timeless Tavern is a hit. This joint is everything I wanted. We spent the day tearing up floors, and we were tired and hungry and just looking for a good, hearty meal. That's what you can get here. A really good portion of delicious food, at a good price, from good people. Our server Becky was outstanding. She was welcoming and warm, and she led us to the right things on the menu: steaks. It seems like what they do best here, and we went for the garlic sirloin, the Delmonico, and for me, the chocolate, balsamic, and bleu cheese covered NY strip. Yeah, it sounds a little weird, but I felt like you don't put something like that on the menu unless you know it's good, and it was. The steaks were cooked properly, seasoned properly, and honestly a pretty massive portion as well. The menu said 16 oz, I wouldn't be surprised if it was more. I can't remember the last time I didn't finish a meal, but I took a little bit of it home for a snack later on. That's probably because they also come with soup and salad, which leads me to another reason Timeless Tavern is my new favorite place: The Chicken Riggy. It's a tomato-based, creamy, hearty chicken soup with rigatoni in there, and I was legitimately blown away by how tasty it was. As soon as I had a bite, I knew we'd be coming back here whenever we're in town. It was rich, and flavorful, and unexpected. Also, I absolutely love that almost all the salad dressings are homemade. Parmesan peppercorn? I'll always get that. I've written a lot here, but the moral of the story is that I love this place. The food is great, the people are great, and it seems like a fun and lively spot to just come for a drink if you aren't hungry. Best of all, the prices are super reasonable. Looking forward to when we're back in town, and I'm bringing the whole family.

    Enjoying dinner.

We unsuspectedly wandered into one of the best dinners we've had in 20 years. Why you ask. All of it - from the minute we walked in we were greeted and seated in a polite, professional and uplifting manner. The host was an older man and cracked a funny joke that made us all laugh. The waiter, also a man, made suggestions, checked in and overall did a perfect job. The food was EXCELLENT. I think the owner popped over to check on us too. It was simply a great night. THANK YOU!

The homemade cucumber dill dressing was delicious! The service was prompt and very friendly. The ambiance is rustic and Adirondack without being overly woodsy. I loved it! The seafood bisque was delicious. However I was not a big fan of the chocolate balsamic strip steak. The steak is great and the added flavors were too much. I can't wait to return and order something else!

    Honey Jalapeno wings. Really tasty.

The bar was full, and the food was looking and smelling delicious. We were seated fairly quickly, despite the mayhem. We were given warm bread and butter to start, but we also shared garlic scallion clams. The clams were warm, buttery, and super garlicky. And the bread was great to dip into the extra sauce! I ordered the French onion soup, which was packed with cheese and had a great broth. My Husband got soup with his entree, and he got the soup of the day which happened to be corn chowder. The chowder was super thick and had lots of veggies. He said it was delicious. My Husband got the Delmonico steak as his entree, which came with a twice baked potato and veggies. The steak was cooked perfectly and was smothered with mushrooms and onions. I had entree envy. I got the open faced roast beef with fries. My roast beef was thinly sliced and piled up on top of a toast slice. My fries and beef were drowned in gravy - just the way I like it. Overall, we had a great dinner. Our server was nice and extremely attentive even though she was running around to everyone! This was great restaurant, and if I were local I would be a regular.

The menu is impressively deep for a small-town, family-owned spot--think juicy prime rib one night and fresh seafood the next. Now, fair warning: service can move at a mountain pace--so settle in, order a drink, and enjoy the chance to actually talk to the people you came with. (Remember conversation? It's making a comeback.) Pro tip: make reservations. This place fills up fast, and even the bar seats are usually spoken for. It is only open Friday and Saturday evenings, so plan accordingly. The inn is beautiful and the current owners have put a wonderful patio out in the lawn which overlooks the lake and the bridge. Some tables are interspersed with the more casual option of Adirondack chairs (how apropos!) and side tables. It is a very charming setting! The small plates are a somewhat odd assortment (Asian noodles and Mediterranean flatbread pizza?) and everything we ate was good but not necessarily great. But let me lay it out there for you: the dining options in this region are extremely limited! This is the only place for miles and miles attempting to do something sophisticated and they are probably smart to keep it simple and accessible.

Night 1 - sat outside with great view of Lake Sacandaga in every direction, ordered: steamed clams, fish tacos, fish cakes, a delicious eggplant dish, a hanger steak, side salads, and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. Night 2 - sat in beautiful dining room, ordered: cheese board with Charcuterie, a gourmet salad, quesedilla and seafood stew. Again, everything was amazing. The owners are also wonderful. Seems like a great place to hold an event as well. Great craft beer selection, wine, and gourmet coffee. Can't wait to go back for more!

We had 7:30 PM reservations on a Thursday and were seated immediately. The atmosphere wasn't quite my style. The tile flooring felt a bit busy, and the seating is very simple with hard-back chairs. I think the space could benefit from a few cozier touches to match the quality of the food. That said, it was bustling and vibrant. The beverage program was great. We enjoyed a bottle of Pinot Noir, and I was impressed by the beer selection, which featured a lot of local breweries rather than the typical mainstream options. For starters, the French onion dip was phenomenal and is an absolute must-order. The Parker rolls were also highly recommended by our server and lived up to the hype. The bread is incredibly fluffy with just a hint of sweetness. For dinner, I had the crab spaghetti with squid ink, which was delicious and loaded with lump crab. It does have a briny, seafood-forward flavor, so it's best suited for those who enjoy that profile. The burger was a hit with the men at the table, although my fiancé wasn't a huge fan of the wood-fired ketchup, which has a distinct smoky flavor. We also tried the mushroom lasagna. Despite the name, it's not traditional lasagna noodles layered with mushrooms. Instead, mushrooms act as the layers. It wasn't what we expected, but it was still excellent. Overall, the food and service were outstanding, and I'd highly recommend Seneca. A few tweaks to the atmosphere could make it even better, but the quality coming out of that kitchen makes it a standout dining spot in Saratoga.

I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.
