It's even smaller, and in a tiny random, not where you would expect to find bakery! It has a tiny display of fresh pastries, shelf full of fresh baked breads and freezer full of more breads! Service is great, always with a smile. We tried a little bit of everything and ended up going back a couple of days later for some fresh bread. Finding good, like good gf bread is really hard. Most times literally hard. Got the brioche buns and was impressed for gf buns! Yes they still fell apart. Yes they weren't as soft as traditional brioche, but they were good for gf buns. I love their ham and cheese croissant. It's greasy, I prefer it cold, my kid only likes it warmed up. Donut is by far the best gf cake style donut we've ever had. It's light, flavor is incredible, moist. I typically skip gf cake donuts, but this one was calling to me, so happy we got it. Cinnamon roll was not good. Frosting had zero sugar. It was hard as a rock, so no one wanted to eat it. But as most gf cinnamon rolls, you have to eat them within a few hours, so this one could have just been too old. There's a decent amount of gluten free bakeries scattered across the DMV area, but this is by far the best for bread! The best variety, fresh and frozen. If they sell out of something you can count on they'll have a back up of something similar. Also. surprised to see complaining about prices..... I actually think they aee cheap for gluten free items!

The carrot/cabbage and greens were fresh and tasty. I probably wouldn't get the rice again. It was fine, but served mostly to fill me up rather than add flavor. Japanese Katsu Curry Bowl ($15.00) plus $1.00 for greens and $0.50 for extra curry sauce. My partner enjoyed this dish, but thought the curry flavor could have been stronger. Also, they probably wouldn't get the extra sauce again. Overall, good bowls. We'll be back. One disappointment is that there is no way to "build your own bowl." I asked the server, and she said you can ask to substitute an item on one of their main bowls, but there's no "create your own" option. Since you order from a kiosk, it seems that could be straightforward, with the price adjusted based on what you add in, but I guess not here. That will limit the number of times I come here, because I prefer the option for variety. Ordering vis kiosk also doesn't allow you to order the sauce "on the side," which is another unnecessary (IMHO) limitation.

Appetizers: - bread basket which came with popover bread was delicious -- this made us hopeful! The bread was soft and fluffy - crispy brussel sprouts - not bad - rosemary garlic fries - nice and crispy Entrees: would recommend the butternut squash risotto. The risotto was deliciously cheesy and savory! We also got the montegro fried chicken salad which was decent but not amazing. It came with a nice Dijon mustard sauce. Items we would not recommend: - crispy tofu with coconut rice = big block of tofu, uncut. It was also not very crispy at all but rather mushy and unseasoned. The rice was ok but could not redeem the unusual tofu serving The waitstaff was friendly but service was very slow; our poor server was running around taking care of many tables so our food came out pretty late; we had to ask for our last dish to be packed in a to go box because it ended up being really dark out (we sat out in the patio area). There is indoor and outdoor seating with a connected parking lot. My favorite items were the butternut squash risotto and the bread basket! I would avoid the tofu. My fiancé's parents also did not particularly enjoy their dishes (meatloaf, pork chop--both were quite dry).

The café itself is nicely decorated and has a charming atmosphere. However, the indoor seating felt cramped, making the space quite noisy and not ideal for having a relaxed conversation. The ordering process was also confusing. Some guests were ordering at the counter, while others were ordering through a QR code or directly with a server. To make things more confusing, the QR code menu was much more limited than the printed menu. I did enjoy my flat white, which was well made, but the food was mediocre and overpriced. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl, but the server informed me they were out of poached eggs and offered either scrambled or fried eggs instead. Since a poached egg is one of the key components of this dish, I wish the menu had noted this substitution in advance. Our food arrived fairly quickly, but the quality was underwhelming. The baby kale at the bottom of the bowl was barely sautéed, and the dish overall was under-seasoned and lacked flavor. Throughout the meal, no one checked on our table to see how everything was. Overall, I'd skip this location and spend my money at one of the many better restaurants in the area that offer higher-quality food and a better dining experience for the price.
