HEY YALL! This spot is kinda inconspicuous to see at night, we found it, the service was fast, I don't mind waiting for hot food! The lady taking orders was pleasant, had a lot of customers but we ended up talking and she was very friendly, suggested to try the Boils next time! We ordered shrimp and double fries. Crab Hut is the bomb, yo! I usually like to try multiple items before reviewing a restaurant /take out place but damn, if I can't just get past the crawfish here. Mudbugs are tough to find in these parts - I think Detroit Pho on Dequindre might be the only other place in Macomb County - and these little bastards are scrumpdilly as Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys would say. I've been to Crab Hut a few times now and they're always fast, fresh and friendly. Them crawdaddies are just *chef's kiss. I'm addicted to those ghastly, HR Giger looking things. And somehow I've never had a crawfish boil with egg in it til I made my way through these doors. It's a worthy addition to the dish, though if you want the customary sausage you'll have to ask them to add it. There's three different spices to choose from or you can mix em all if you really want to go Hog wild. Cajun is my favorite, naturally, gotta go Nawlins style with the mudbugs! Crab Hut sells the crawfish by the pound but they're cool with it if you wanna split hairs and order a pound and half like I sometimes do. The pound serving tends to leave me hungry and two pounds just seems like so much so it's a good compromise. Three cheers for Crab Hut. They're open Christmas and New Years, too. Maybe one day I'll try something besides crawfish boil but I'm thinking they'll have to be out of stock and they haven't been yet. read more

Don't let the appearance of this family owned take out place scare you off. The food was incredible! We got the mega combo and shared the garlic butter crab, shrimp, sausage, potato, corn, and egg, and were greatly satisfied! Everything was cooked well and the flavor was spot on! Used to like this place. Ordered a seafood bag only to discover a long piece of nasty hair. I threw it away in disgust. I was the last customer that evening so I called the first thing in the morning to tell them of my experience, assuming they would do the right thing and replace or refund. What a fantastic meal, Wow! Let me start with there were a lot of people waiting for orders in their cars so the food had to be impressive. We ordered the mega feast--steamed crab legs, shrimp, potato, corn (don't know what happened to the sausage) and added lobster, and 2 pounds of crawfish. All smothered in this addictive garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun sauce (mixed, medium spice). It was piping hot when I got it home. We poured it in a pan and ate like kings! The meat was so flavorful and so tender. The sauce was everywhere & we loved every bit of it. All of it was fresh anytime we're in the mood and budget for seafood, this will be the only spot. I went back to visit Crab Hut to order a catfish dinner again. It wasn't the same , the catfish was fried very hard , it had a different taste than the first time I had it . The catfish tasted like a big mince fish stick. It had a different texture, it was not the same fish I had the first time, I did not eat but 1/4 of one piece. I have been there twice now and the food quality is EXCELLENT as well as the customer service. You can tell it is a Family operated business as the daughter is always there assisting her Mother at the counter and I believe that is her Father in back cooking up some of the best seafood I have had in quite some time. Not only do they serve WONDERFUL seafood but they have some traditional Chinese dishes as well that they serve up. You have 4 flavors to choose from... Cajun, butter garlic, lemon pepper, or mixed (all of them!). I decided on mixed and it was soooo delicious!! I was craving Louisiana style seafood and I'm new to the area. We ventured into crab hut with little to no expectations. The staff is really friendly and took good care of us. Now the food. We got the seafood platter with lobster tails, shrimp, and crab. It was really tasty the sauce has a curry taste which I'm not normally a fan of. But it was good. I did get the mild sauce option so maybe with the more spicy you order the more it will be what I was expecting. Overall a good experience. Good to try! read more

This was my first and last time ordering from this establishment. I ordered the special steamed platter which comes with 1 snow crab and 12 shrimp. Usually at any other place, 1 pound of snow crab is at least 2 clusters. They gave me 1 TINY cluster and another 2 tiny legs (the 2 tiniest legs on a crab). I've never seen such small crab legs in a seafood boil and then on top of that you cheat me out of my crabs. The sausages aren't really that good. The corn was wayyyyy over cooked or old, one of the two. It was to the point that the kernels were hard to chew. The egg was definitely way over cooked as well (but that happens in most seafood boils). They also took like 15-20 minutes longer than the expected pickup time. The only good thing is that the food was still hot when I got home and the sauce was good. But there are other places with better seafood for the price. read more

I've been driving past this place for several months waiting for it to open. When it finally did open, I couldn't find the time to go. I did today and so glad I did!! Matt was my server, he was awesome. I got the shrimp poboy and sweet potato fries. Delicious!! I also got the Kiss on the Lips cocktail. Very fruity and delicious. Chicken was over cooked, oily from not setting out long enough to cool and drip off the oil. The container had melted due to the chicken being too hot which is not good for you. Rice is made with a garlic stir fry oil and they use an awfully large amount to have the garlic flavor just be the only thing you taste. Plum sauce was just a little off compared to your average Chinese cuisine restaurant. (cajun garlic and lemon pepper sounds like a grody mix but ive never tried it so dont take it from me. maybe ill try it sometime.) second time here i got a lb of crawfish cajun build your own and a coconut shrimp (couldnt wait to get home to eat the shrimp) very satisfying meal. i went crazy on eating it. dipped the corn back in the "sauce" for extra flavor and this isnt the dry shake seasoning cajun like some resturants use. the service is like other places in the area. basic. u get your food and ur out not friendly but the food bangs. deffinately recommend. read more
