This place is near my house and we always go here to grab some Chinese food. They are always pretty good and never disappoint but I think they raised their prices over the past years. Me and my mother ordered two dinner combination plates. And she had got chicken fried rice with hers I got shrimp fried rice. When I looked in the menu it said $11 and some change for the plates but when she got there she said $30. So it makes me think that the plates raised to $15. Otherwise the food was good per usual I got the General Tso chicken, which is a bit spicy but they gave me a lot of shrimp fried rice and a lot of pieces of chicken as well. read more

Peking Villa has become my go-to place for Chinese carryout, as it's the most consistent option around the Pointes. Honestly, I didn't care for it too much when it was a dine in restaurant. I've had it a few times since it became carryout only, and I've been impressed each time. I typically order both almond boneless chicken and sesame chicken. Gravy comes on the side for the ABC. Was so looking forward to our order. Placed it ahead of time, but there was quite a line to pick up orders and only one person working the counter. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, pepper steak & almond boneless chicken. Hubby loved his sweet & sour chicken. The almond boneless chicken was good, but the gravy is not my favorite. It's a darker brown and I prefer a lighter sauce. The pepper steak was good, but not quite as good as it used to be. The eggrolls were standard; my favorites are from PF Chang's. The dinner rolls were not fresh, rather crumbly and needed to be warmed to soften them. I miss the old PV with in restaurant dining and higher standards. read more

the food was pretty decent but too much sauces. whenever you order beef or chicken or pork, they will lots of amount sauce in it. i ordered thur doordash to pick up and told me to be ready at around 5:50pm but took me waiting for another 20-30 mins .-. so the service is too slow if you order thur DoorDash or on the phone. they will forget some food if you order. they did forget my fried noodles so i got my money back. mongolian beef are pretty delicious. plain fried rice isn't great at all tho. potstickers with dipping was decent! read more

I ordered carry out from Peking Villa. I didn't want to dine in because of Covid. I ordered a large wonton soup, an egg roll, and onion steak. Everything was nice and hot when I received it, which I appreciated. The soup was delicious! The wontons were really good and hearty. Plenty of flavor and the wonton strips that came with it were a good addition; not too greasy or anything. The egg roll was good; flavorful and crunchy. The onion steak was great. I read really glad they had it on their menu because usually I order pepper steak and don't eat the peppers. I didn't have to do this here. I also felt like the steak was good quality. Overall I would order from Peking Villa again and recommend it to others. read more

This was some of worst Chinese Restaurant I have ever experience. The sesame Chicken tasted like it had been on a warmer, egg rolls DRY-how is that possible! I spent $40.00dollars on food and they stood Strong on charging me .53cent per package of spicy mustard, didn't buy any and the fried rice was dry as hell also. Never will I return to this crap. Carry out only- Food is good but the business is run terribly. They always tell you your order will ready at 1 time but it's always late sometimes as long as 45+ minutes after the time they tell you to come for it. They have minimum staff working so they're always behind. It takes forever for them to answer their phones too. This is my first time trying this establishment. I ordered the Hong Shui Tofu and it came with huge pieces of tofu with fresh vegetables (like bamboo shoots, broccoli, carrots, fresh mushrooms, etc). I also had a spring roll and a side of vegetable fried rice. Everything was absolutely fresh, hot and absolutely delicious and had great flavor. I also called the other day to place an order and the people were very rude to the point where she just hung up on me. I will not be going back to a business that treats their customers this way. We ordered sesame chicken combo, fried shrimp & BBQ ribs. The fried rice was fine. The sesame chicken was so dry, it was inedible. The fried shrimp was 90% batter, 10% shrimp. The food was very good with fresh vegetables. I did have to wait a little extra for my order to be ready but it was worth it they are very busy most of the time. The only drawback was the waiting area to pick up your food needed to be cleaned it was not very inviting to stay. All in all I will be back the next time I want Chinese food. read more

The young lady that takes the orders refused to put the manager of the phone saying that she repeated the order back to me. She was very rude and insisted that I made a different order as if I didn't know what I ordered . I reminded she our the conversation and she repeated the order to me again incorrectly. When I brought this to her attention she because even more rude and disrespectful. They refused to correct the order or offer any kind of compensation even being so indignant as to agree that I should tell all my friends that order from this restaurant about this unsatisfactory experience because they have a lot of other customer that order from them. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are not concerned in any way shape or fashion about making there customer happy. At a time where so many business our in need of our support to stay afloat, this business should be ashamed of themselves. I've lived in SCS for over 20 years. Never been to Peking Villa. My go to Chinese take out place changed owners and the food went down hill. I found this place and am so glad that I did. EGGGGGG ROLLLLLL. The best egg rolls on the East Side. Cruncy crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. The plum sauce and hot mustard (a must) are on the table in squeeze bottles. Entrees are typical American-Chinese nothing memorable but good comfort food. read more

THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR CARRYOUT CUSTOMERS. I would give this place a ZERO if I could. We walked in around 6pm on Christmas (called ahead for a table of 6 and they said no reservation was necessary). When we arrive, there's a steady flow of people picking up carryout, but more than half the tables were open. Still we wait 10min for them to clean a table, another 15min to get water and another 10min to place our order. I even got up to twice to flag the server to tell her we were ready. After lukewarm soup and bland egg rolls, we settled in for a nice 1 HOUR wait for our food. It was painful! Waiting with 3 children (two playing on phones and a bored to death 6yo) made it even worse. Meanwhile, people who were seated after us were signing their bills, yet we still had no food, just our dirty soup plates sitting in front of us. Then the A/C kicked on and when we told a waitress that cold air was blowing from above, she seemed to not care at all. Finally, we said enough is enough and WALKED OUT. Just then someone comes running from the kitchen saying "it's coming, it's coming!" By that time, it was too late. My husband explained the situation to a manager on our way out the door and she had the nerve to try to give us a bill. Absolutely shameful! On Christmas Day? Fun old school Chinese decor. Pleasant wait staff that fall over them selves to serve you. I have a thing for the tall rolls that you get at Chinese restaurants that seem to be a forgotten perk these days. You know the ones that taste a lot like Hawaiian rolls?
