The most scrumptious meal I've ever had in years. It was perfect, and the two sauces that came with it complimented everything so well. I've never had crab fried like this, other than crab cakes. So, this was a real treat! I'd recommend this to all crab lovers. It has the right crispy texture, while the inside is still soft and juicy. The sweet potato fries were pretty good, too.

What a find! This restaurant is located in what I'd describe as a mini food hall, with other shops to choose from. We were particularly in the mood for something like kickin kasian, but this spot doesnt have the long wait time or the heartburn you feel after enjoying your meal. Dont get me wrong, the food was still flavorful. My suggestion is to get a menu, claim a table, and the place your order at the counter. When I went, there was only 1 order taker. He didnt give us a number to place on our table (the place was that small). Your table will get a paper cover over it and you can request for gloves and a bib.. Ordering is pretty straightforward: 1) Pick your choice of seafood (half and by the pound). Limited options when its by the half. 2) Select sauce. I did the crab mentality which mixes it all together 3 select spice level. The mild had a good subtle kick for me but incredibly hot had an extra zip Meals were served to us in less than 15 minutes. Overall, we enjoyed our meals. Calamrari and fries appetizer had a nice crunchy bite. And i was happy i got to substitute the fries for cajun ones. The fisherman's half bounty had the best balance of different seafood options. But I did not like my oysters that I ordered. Well some had this great flavor and than others had a fishy taste to it. It was a little disconcerting. The peeled shrimp was cooked perfectly with good flavor from the sauce. I did add some lemon juice to mine just cause I like it more lemony. You get a good serving of food for the price, compared to other spots. They dont have many drink options, but like I said, its a food hall. So I just got some boba from a spot next door. Ill definitely be swinging by again!

We have dined here about 5 times already. Their sauce is pretty good. Not sure why they don't have anything in the display anymore. Would be nice and could bring in more customers. They don't have fountain drink anymore; just soda cans. Unfortunately for me I am NOT a Pepsi fan so I always have to resort to water. Service needs to improve. Would help if it is more welcoming, and paying attention to customers.

First time coming here and it looks fantastic. The menu is big but same with the prices that come with it. But it's seafood. Is it better than boiling crab and kicking Cajun, or how about crab shack? It is similar and well, I would say no but it is the same. I ordered the jumbo squid which came to $12.90 for the entire thing and boy was it good. It had alot of flavor, sweet sugary teriyaki flavor and high cholesterol, but it was really kicking. The other item was shared, it was a mild Cajun garlic shrimp pot which came with butter and potatoes. It also came with fat that was added to my belly. The price for the shrimp pot was about $20. Let me tell you, it still had the black stuff that you get inside the shrimp. They didn't clean it or cut off the head which was disappointing. The flavors were fattening and tasty. It was like I gained a couple inches below my chin of fat, the double chin. Parking outside is nice and the overall food court inside island pacific super market is nice and convenience is cool. The tables are uncomfortable and the service is great. The only negative is the pricetag and the fat. I recommend to come just because it is inside the Filipino food mart supermarket and give it a try. The wallet will bleed, but the mouths will water. The other places nearby are not as good in terms of value. The service is great compared to the neighbors.

Service was wonderful! I had a free drink just by checking in. Everything is disposable, they provide bibs and disposable gloves. Although we went to the grocery's restroom to wash our hands. It delivered what's written in the menu. I will definitely come back here once I get a chance. Swing by if you're cravinf for some fresh seafood bucket.

The 1 pound king crab legs were great. Must add melted butter for additional charge and added some corn too. The staff was nice.

The shrimp was overcooked and they totally skimped out on the crab! Would you say this is a pound because I don't think so. To think we paid $96 for this is ridiculous.

Ask the Community - Crab Mentality

    Is this spot still operating?

I tried to order to go recently and I didn't get an answer /: and the automatic voice message said they were not operating due to what's going on. Hopefully they come back soon !

Do their sauces & ingredients contain any gluten?

I honestly don't know and did ask.

My husband has celiac disease. Are there any options at crab mentality that are gluten free?

Seafood, like all forms of meat, is naturally gluten free. I can't speak to the ingredients of their sauces but crab and/ or shrimp, dipped in butter is going to be a gluten-free entree.

What does the avg meal cost?

    Meal=$20

Is this the same owners as Shrimp Haus (the ones that closed Down off Tourney Rd)?

No. This is definitely better!!! ????

I'm pretty sure the sausage and vegetables were added to the shrimp to equal a pound. I am totally disappointed with this mistake and I see the reason why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday afternoon. There was no way I could have gone back to return the item since I live quite far and I made the mistake of not checking before I left since the girl stapled the bag and sealed the container inside. The shrimp isn't cooked well either. Some of them were cooked for too long while others seemed almost raw. Bad quality.

There were so many that they actually got onto me and inside my clothing. I believe I was even bitten. I immediately jumped up and started trying to get the ants off me, and I actually had to take off my shirt because ants had gotten inside it. What happened next made the situation even more upsetting. As soon as the employee saw what was happening, she quickly came over and started cleaning the seat before I could properly take pictures showing how many ants were there. Even after she cleaned the area, there were still ants on the seat, and I was able to take pictures of them. I explained how serious and uncomfortable the situation was and specifically asked to speak with the manager. The manager did not even come out to speak with me. Instead, the employee told me that I could tell her what I wanted to say and she would tell the manager for me. I find that extremely unprofessional. If a customer is complaining that ants from your seating area got onto their body and inside their clothes, the very least a manager could do is come out and speak to the customer directly. Their solution was to tell me that they could give me food to go. However, I was there for the all-you-can-eat option, so telling me to take food to go was not an appropriate solution. After discovering ants crawling on me and inside my clothing, I obviously did not feel comfortable sitting back down and continuing to eat. I understand that problems can happen at any restaurant, but how you handle the problem matters. There was no manager willing to come speak with me, no reasonable resolution was offered, and I felt like the situation was being brushed aside instead of taken seriously. I have pictures showing ants that were still on the seating area even after the employee cleaned it. This was an extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable experience, and the lack of professionalism from management made it even worse. Based on my experience with both the cleanliness of the seating area and the way my complaint was handled, I would absolutely not recommend this location.

I stopped in to grab takeout for my husband and me and was told the order wouldn't take long. The server was helpful and answered all my questions, so I felt good about the order: clam chowder, half-order lemon pepper wings, a catfish dinner with an extra side of shrimp, and grilled salmon with two sauces on the side (and cooked medium). After waiting 45 minutes--which already felt excessive for this order--I decided to check the food. I'm glad I did. The salmon was overcooked (well done instead of medium) with the sauce already poured on top. The lemon pepper wings had barely any seasoning, like it was added after they were already dry. And they completely forgot the shrimp. The server took everything back to fix it, but that took another 30 minutes. By then, my husband's catfish (and for $19, you only get one filet) and his cheddar side were cold, and the Caesar salad was wilted and warm. When the salmon finally came back--after another 20 minutes--it was still overcooked, now rock hard, and completely unseasoned. It felt like they were relying on sauce to do all the work, but even that missed the mark. The shrimp also tasted like pre-packaged frozen, not fresh. Nearly $90 later, we didn't enjoy any part of the meal. I'd suggest sticking to the boil if you come here, because based on this experience, everything else fell short.

Graziella and her brother have created such a special dining experience. My favorite dish has always been the pistachio sauce ravioli. I didn't see it on the menu and mentioned how much I loved it, and Graziella was kind enough to make it for me anyway, explaining that it's now part of their rotating menu. That level of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. I usually never order ravioli as a main course anywhere else, but this dish is absolutely incredible and unlike any ravioli I've had. I was on a double date and convinced my friend to order the same dish because I couldn't stop talking about it. She absolutely loved it and understood immediately why it's my favorite. My fiancé and his cousin both ordered the lamb chops and couldn't stop raving about them. My fiancé substituted the seasonal vegetables for the arugula salad. He normally doesn't eat salad, but he finished the entire thing and said it was one of the best salads he's ever had. The dressing was amazing, and after trying it myself, I completely agreed. My fiancé's cousin, who I consider like a brother, was trying lamb chops for the first time and said he felt like he'd been missing out his whole life. I also ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita from the rotating cocktail menu and enjoyed it so much that I ordered a second one. The food was outstanding, but the atmosphere deserves recognition too.
