Piccolo Trattoria was an experience this past weekend. I went with my wife and our family to celebrate a birthday. Distance was great, service was great, setting and lighting were also great, and overall the time going there was great. The food was good, I apologize for not saying great because my chicken did feel tough in certain areas to bite into. I loved the free bread. I would like to try and go back again one day for a second experience.

We had a great time with our friends at Piccola. Excellent service and great team by the staff. Food and wine were delicious and nice cozy restaurant, a bit too loud in the main dining room but we were in the back room it was great.

Piccola Trattoria is one of those places I can't stop thinking about. The artichoke pistachio ravioli is hands down the best thing on the menu and honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The flavor is so creamy, and it's something I crave all the time. On top of the amazing food, the service is always incredible. Everyone is warm, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely welcome. I love going here and highly recommend it to anyone.

We visited Piccola Trattoria two nights in a row and had two very different service experiences--but the food was consistently great both times. On our first visit, we were lucky to have Hunter as our waiter. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our evening feel special. He offered great recommendations and made sure we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. His service really elevated the entire dining experience. The next night, we returned because the food had been so good--and once again, the dishes did not disappoint. However, the service this time was noticeably less attentive and didn't have the same warmth or attention to detail we experienced the night before. It wasn't terrible, but it was a noticeable drop from our first night with Hunter. That said, if you're coming for the food, you won't be disappointed. Just hope you get a great server like Hunter to round out the experience.

Place is absolutely precious. Drove in from out of town and had been craving good Italian food. The reviews did not let me down this place is delicious from the bread, muscles and ravioli, not to mention the addictive Lychee Martinis. Very happy I stopped to each here will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends/family. All the staff is very friendly! Although it is a more luxury experience I don't think dressing up is necessary. ( I opted for a dress and heals just in case )

Decent place. Food and service could be way better. Somehow food got better after microwaving it the next day! The service was a bit slow and honestly the waiter seemed to not care about our table in the beginning. Also I got a rusty knife, of course it was quickly replaced. The actual place itself is nice looking. Fancy. Bathroom could use some help. Valet seems nice but we didn't use that service. Food: Caesar salad was fine but the type of lettuce used made the salad taste watery. Prosciutto and mushroom pizza was meh, dough is good, but something about it wasn't making it great. Lacked flavor. Lamb chops were fine, 2 out of the 4 lamb chops given were great, the other two were meh, the veggies could be better, and the mashed potatoes were too plain. Sauce was salty. No flavor. Seafood ravioli lacked flavor, but the dish had a good amount of seafood!! Birthday dessert was nice! Additionally we also got the tiramisu, which was fine.

Holy cannoli! Piccola Trattoria, you've awakened my taste buds. What a wonderful Italian restaurant that serves authentic dishes and provides warm, friendly service. I started off with a caesar salad and the crunch of the greens along with tangy dressing was perfect. I ordered the seafood pasta and it came with a medley of clams, scallops, mussels and shrimp. Delish! The cannoli was a great way to end the meal. Jen was an excellent server. She was attentive and always checked on us to make sure we had what we needed. If you're in the SCV area, can't go wrong with Piccola Trattoria!

    * Valet is $6 We were a party of four, we made a reservation via open table. The restaurant was pretty full. Our table got a bottle rose, a decaf espresso martini, and an old fashion. The martini was yummy, I would prefer it again. The server was nice, and attentive. The calamari was a solid choice as an appetizer. My partner ordered the truffle pasta and he said he would get it again. It was rich and creamy. A strong truffle flavor. The server shredded the truffle at the table. I absolutely loved their Bolognese pasta. I 100% would order it again. I would come back to get it again. I have never been a fan of bolognese. It's always felt like a safe bet at new Italian restaurants but this one is by far my favorite. The affogato was a solid 4/5 This place is a solid choice and we'll definitely be back. I think the bill was about $200 without tip.

Is there a happy hour? Martinis?

Does anyone know if they have gluten free pasta or bread options?

    Do you have lobster risotto?

I think so? But never had that dish Excellent food and amazing menu I highly recommend this…

What is the PRICE OF THE uncorking fee if you choose to provide your own wine?

Yes, there's a corcking fee and also a fee if you bring your own desert for a celebration. Great food

Hello, we are planning to visit soon and my daughter has gluten and peanut allergies and we were wondering what your gluten free options were for pasta and or pizza and nut free options for dessert?

They have delicious GF pasta! I'm celiac and have never had an issue at either location.

Are they moving or opening a second location ? We noticed a sign off of Plum Canyon.

They have opened a second location with a similar menu, but not exactly the same. It too is fantastic. Piccola Osteria

Do they have gluten free pasta options?

    Yes! It's delicious and safe.

    Do they have outdoor seating?

They sure do! 😊 And it's not that awkward parking lot seating either. Service and food is excellence.

Is the short rib ravioli back on the specials menu?

I have not seen it lately. They do have the Pappdelli ? At least twice monthly.

    Open on christmas?

Per open table it is closed but you may have any to call to confirm

What's with the new valet parking?

Their parking lot is somewhat of an odd shape as well as being on the small size for the number of parties they can accommodate in the restaurant. Therefore, for customer convenience, they offer free valet parking. It's optional whether you want to…

Do they still have risotto on the menu?

They do make it just ask for it

The space is quite large, but a bit cramped. We were seated in a a patio-like space towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered the calamari, Mezzelune di Crostacei, and Tortelloni di Brasato. The calamari is highly recommended. It was fresh, lightly fried, and paired well with the sauce. The Mezzelune di Crostecei was amazing. The ravioli was perfectly cooked and the juices from the shrimp and scallop made it a perfect bite. The only disappointment was the Tortelloni di Brasato. The herb cream sauce was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. However, the short rib filling was akin to a beef puree and several of the tortellonis had very little filling. Overall, I had a great experience and looking forward to try other menu items!

I selected the tequila chicken fettuccine, at the recommendation of the wonderful man who sat and served me, ( I was thinking about carbonara). I will probably wake up craving this pasta!! Flavorful, chicken cooked perfectly and not sitting in an overly creamy sauce. I also enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and lovely, and upon inquiry, learned it is not available in stores! I'll probably be back for a glass or two of wine at the very least!

Flash forward to 2026, it's a Monday around 8pm and knowing that this place doesn't close until 10pm, we figured we'd give it a shot. We arrived around 8:20pm, and asked for a table for 2. We were immediately directed into the bar which I thought was a little odd but I figured maybe they had just cleaned the main dining room for the night and it would be easier for them if they sat us in the bar. There was one customer at the bar, but he left about ten minutes into us arriving. After the bartender closed his tab out, she came to our table and took our order. She offered us bread, but it never came out. We started with an order of the figs prosciutto and salami flatbread, and the Monterey Bay tempura calamari. Both dishes came out in about 12 minutes. My partner and I enjoyed the calamari but were more impressed with the flatbread. The way the fig, and cheese, and prosciutto all blended with one another was deliciously sweet and savory. Once the appetizers came out, we put in an order for our entrees and drinks. My partner got a watermelon spritz, and I got a sparkling water. For dinner, my partner ordered the Penne Bolognese and I ordered the Linguine Pesto. The entrees took about an additional 20 minutes to whip up. I think if you're in the mood for pasta, these are both great picks. Personally, I thought the Penne Bolognese had more meat than I would have preferred, but I recognize that I'm not a huge meat eater, and for someone like my partner who has to have meat in every meal, it was incredible. My Linguine Pesto was perfectly cooked, cheesy, and the pesto flavors were prominent. I'm guessing this is a one off thing, but when we were seated in the bar area - I was getting bit by mosquitos like crazy. When I got home, I had at least 3 bites on my stomach, and then a handful running down my leg. To be honest, mosquitos love me, so I normally wouldn't have mentioned this but my partner who doesn't typically get bit as much as I do, started getting attacked too and we had to leave because we were so itchy. Overall the food here is fantastic - and I think would be a great date night spot. For 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 drinks (1 alcoholic) our bill was $115 subtotal. There's also plenty of parking which is a plus.

They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

Service was great, literally had to keep updating and updating the order more than one time but they were understandable and didn't mind at all (even tho the menu is not that long but sometimes I can be indecisive lol) even added extra cheese with the grater to our fettuccine Ended up with the : -Sampler combo (meat lasagna, chicken piccata and fettuccine Alfredo) which sounded good! 10/10 -pepperoni pizza (personal size) 8/10 a little too personal/on the smaller side lol -add on salad+drink for $6. Which is a great deal imo 7/10 Caesar salad was great. Drink ughhh I just hate that all in one machine so much it's my nemesis lol. Everything was extremely flavorful and rich, and overall everything tasted fresh as well. The place was super clean and even tho we were here closer to closing, they didn't mind at all. Place had classic music playing in the background with all of the posters and drawings hanging up just hit differently. Overall, it was a super great experience, and I recommend it very much to anyone.

Presto Pasta is a true hidden gem in Santa Clarita. I absolutely love their shrimp fettuccine (I…read morehope that is what is called). Personally, I feel is as delicious as Olive Garden, but for a more accessible price. Service is also top notch there- Sam and the other staff members (can't recall all the names) are very kind and just give you a great service. Love this place!
