Visited for the first time tonight with my family of 8. It's located in a strip mall so parking isn't bad. The atmosphere felt almost like a club when you first walk in. We were warmly greeted and seated. Our waitress was friendly from start to finish. She could've visited more frequently, but she was very nice. We got 4 apps, 2 seafood platters, and 2 entrees. We had plenty of food! The seafood platters were outstanding! They are the same as a crab pot or crab boil, but seasoned much better. One of the best I've ever had. We finished with a complimentary cheesecake for my daughter's birthday so that was fun. The tab came to $385 after tax and tip for 8 of us. We will definitely return! read more

I was pleasantly surprised at the experience here! The food was amazing. There are not many seafood boil restaurants around Clayton, we went to one near the outlets awhile back and it was terrible. Clayton Seafood House is fantastic! They have a pirate theme decor, the prices are reasonable and flavors are a dream They do daily specials with the boils and you can anything else you like from the menu. They let you choose seasoning and spice level. We had the Cajun mild and it was perfect. I love spicy, so next time I'm Going all in. We also ordered the grilled oysters which were seasoned in Cajun and garlic butter. Very good as well. Service was a little slow, but that's OK. Yesterday was the first time visiting this restaurant in Clayton and right off the bat when I walked in it gave me a night club feel (which I know sounds ridiculous) but that's how i immediately felt with the lighting and the music they were playing so I was little drawn off by that. When sat down the tables were clean chairs were clean! Bathrooms were clean and functioning! I know especially at seafood broil restaurants things can be sticky and gross. So I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness! Last the service and the food was phenomenal!! I've ate at plenty of seafood broil type restaurants and this one is a solid option! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO HERE! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt 2x. I only ever order take out so I can't comment on the service but there have been two occasions where my shrimp tasted old, the meat tasted gritty like they reused old meat or maybe froze it multiple times. The second time it tasted like that again which is confusing because when I first tried there place I order shrimp and crab and never had an issue before, this is why I tried to give them a 3rd chance. I ordered some mussel just to try something else and guess what happen these mofos gave me FOOD POISONING their food is not fresh at all they reusing meat and giving us expired food too. Crab Seafood House has an unparalleled and quite amusing ambiance. The shrimp pasta with their house sauce is elite and an amazing price. The crab balls pack a real wow factor between the amount of crab meat and the surprisingly delicious sweet and sour-like sauce they come with. The catfish is also pretty good, with a decently crispy batter. Only thing so far that I'm not sure about it their crab po-boy sandwich. Hidden gem in Clayton! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and immediately seated. The restaurant nicely decorated and has plenty of tvs for entertainment as you eat. Service was by far one of my favorite things, our server constantly came by and asked if everything was okay and would bring us refills. She even brought us scissors for the crab! This is probably the tastiest boil I've ever had, it was extremely flavorful, and we did not leave disappointed. I came here with my best friend for dinner. We both ordered the house special (all the spices) a pound of shrimp each, potatoes, and corn. I was excited to see they also offered rice as a side. The service was quick and speedy. When we were leaving, the table behind us asked to speak with the manager to compliment their server. Our server was great as well, however it was hard to find her when we needed something. There were other servers around, however they were busy, as there was a company party going on towards the back, along with three other tables with large parties, that were celebrating birthdays. Located next to the Walmart plaza in Clayton with plenty of parking. The restaurant was spacious and clean when we visited. The menu and prices are on par with other crab houses. I haven't had a seafood boil in about 3 years so when my aunt suggested this place for my grandmother's birthday, I was all in. Not only was the place nicely decorated and the waitstaff (Olivia) was great, but the food was BOMB! I didn't get any pictures, unfortunately, dealing with two toddlers (did I mention, Olivia brought out scissors for my baby's chicken tenders to cut) but I got the seafood boil with crab legs, lobster, sausage and egg in the mild house sauce and it was so good. I had a two item catfish and shrimp basket, my son had the larger crab boil thing and my husband had a flounder and shrimp basket. The shrimp were some of the best I've ever had and I know you may think french fries are all the same but honestly, we all commented that these were the best fries we've ever had and they were. The Crab Seafood House is a nice change, especially as residents typically have to make the 30+ minute commute into Raleigh to find a restaurant similar to this one. With plenty of seating , a full bar , and televisions on the wall, you will be immediately seated and a waitress will be right with you. While we didn't try any cocktails the selection was plentiful for cocktails . Each day includes different platter of steamed seafood and provides a myriad of flavors to add to your selection. He ordered steamed oysters and fried oyster basket and I ordered 2 clusters of Dungeoness (sp?) Crab legs. Everything was delicious, the seasoned garlic butter was yummy! Well worth the price. As you can see in the picture, they were fried with more of like a beer batter/tempura batter. It's the best fried shrimp I've ever had. It's light and not greasy! The sauce they drizzle on top of the sandwich is what really makes it. Sometimes you get too much bread or over sauced lettuce, but this sandwich is the best of everything and perfectly proportioned. The Cajun Fries were really good too, I actually would ask for extra Cajun Seasoning. My team got the crabmeat po boy, the shrimp basket and the shrimp fried rice with sausage added.
