St. Cloud on the lake. Ive been here for lunch a few times and it's the kind of place that makes you feel like you're on vacation at the beach or lake instead of grabbing a quick bite while working. It's a fried basket / grouper sandwich kind of place. Country music. Great service - every time I've been here everyone has been super friendly. I like this place - but in fairness I like places like this in general . You can eat outside and watch for gators sneaking around the marina or inside in the AC. Both are fine but outside you might have to deal with crows at times. 4.25 for a solid spot. read more

We ordered drinks- a cosmo and a glass of Chardonnay- and 2 apps- fried calamari and smoked fish dip. This was the best part of the meal! Main course arrived shortly after. I ordered flounder stuffed with a crab cake and hubby ordered seafood pasta. My meal was so salty and drenched in butterI didn't enjoy it at all. Seafood pasta, ordered with scampi sauce was the same. Next time we will try it with marinara sauce. Overall the experience was enjoyable, my favorite was the views of the lake with great appetizers and drinks. I will be back but will order something grilled without oil. read more

Ate dinner Saturday in Tammy's section. Had a beautiful window view. My friend had Seafood linguini, my other friend had Coconut Shrimp and I had Island Mahi Shrimp combo. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We never needed anything, Taylor came by and gave us refills often but not too often. We took a while to get ready to order and Taylor was very patient. Dessert was caramel cheesecake and key lime pie, my friend's both had coffee. This was a pleasant surprise. It's at the lake in St. Cloud and we've been wanting to check it out for a while. We went in Friday around 6:30 and it was very busy but we still had good service. There were several large parties and live music so it was pretty loud but a nice environment. I ordered the hogfish snapper with cheese grits and broccoli. The cheese grits were really good and I was so happy to see that they even seasoned the broccoli with garlic, delish! The fish was also good but I think I would have preferred a little more sauce with it (but I love sauce!). Others in my party ate the Cajun pasta, fish and chips and the key west combo. When you walk in the customer service is great! Warmly greeted with a smile. We sat out side over looking the water and it was late in the evening with the sun setting so it was tolerable. They do have large ceilings fans which make it comfortable, plus they had live music and that's a bonus. My friend ordered the shrimp and pasta linguine and I had the shrimp and fish which came with two sides. The only thing that was really good was the calamari appetizer the two entrees we're average. Could've been better but lacked flavor, needed more seasoning. If I could I'd give 3.5 stars. I'm gonna go back and give it another try because the ambiance and customer service were excellent. read more

What a Wonderful evening together. We had family in town for Thanksgiving and wanted to have dinner out together. We have lived in St Cloud for 2 years and have been wanting to try Crabby Bills. What a great meal. Everyone was able to find something from fish to burgers to chicken. Even my celiac daughter found something and they make effort to provide a gluten free option. Crabby Bills was a bit disappointing because I wanted raw oysters by the half dozen and they only sell them by the dozen. I ordered their baked oysters instead which were okay. They were a little too salty for my taste but had tasty toppings. My preference would have been for more menu items that were baked instead of fried but the place was packed and others seemed to be enjoying their meals. The decor is beach theme. The service was good, however, I had to keep repeating myself to our waitress because it was so loud in the restaurant. I ordered the shrimp and crab boil. I ordered the Cajun version, but there was no spice to it at all. The crab was okay but the shrimp was mushy. I suspect that they were frozen. They are sitting on my stomach like a ton of bricks. For the amount of money that they charge for their "market" price dishes, the quality of the food is not worth it. The only good thing I had was their conch fritters, but no one goes to a restaurant for the appetizers. I won't be back. read more

Worst food I've ever had in my life. My steak was over cooked, unseasoned and had the consistency of a tire. The shrimp were by god the most disgusting thing I've had in my life and I've eaten a lot of shrimp. It was extremely fishy and the breading they had on it was old. I tried my boyfriends shrimp pasta that had no breading and it was also very fishy & not fresh tasting. It really concerns me about the food handling procedures they have going on in the kitchen. My server was inattentive, didn't know the market prices of anything I asked about, and when I complained about the food he said I am so sorry idk what's going on back there but that he's having to help out in the kitchen and cook. Why is a server cooking? And no hair net either? No hate to him though because he looked like he was being slaved to death which is no fault of his own. Besides his mistakes from being overworked, he was one of the only good parts of my experience dinning here because he was trying. The gator bites were rubbery and why the heck do they add breaded jalapeños to the gator bite appetizer with no indication that they've done so? It was a huge shock to my mouth without knowing what it was. On top of that it was drenched in grease. I was being pestered by bugs the whole time, my table was broken so every second I was trying to hold it so the food doesn't fall off, I had to eat in the dark because they didn't turn the outdoor lamp on, the service was extremely slow, and the amount of money this crap cost left me feeling disrespected and hungry. I couldn't stomach eating the shrimp and I was fighting for my life trying to chew the tough steak. We were not reimbursed for the shrimp but were offered another option. However, by that point we were at the restaurant for 2 hours because of how long the food took which is not counting the 30 minute wait time so we just left. Absolutely horrible and I with every ounce of my being regret coming here. However, I did like the clam chowder flavor but the soup was cold when it came out. read more

Visiting Saint Cloud we decided to try out a new restaurant and enjoying seafood we read the reviews and decided this may be a good option for lunch. When we arrived we were seated quickly to a fairly empty restaurant. We looked over the menu and were a little disappointed to see that there weren't any lunch specials but we made the best of it and waited for our server to place our order. When our server finally came over it turned out he was the bartender and he quickly took our drink order and then our food order and left. As we sat and waited I noticed the only other server working at the time was very friendly with her tables, chatting and checking back on them. After awhile our drinks and our appetizer and my Mom's soup was brought out. We ordered the Crab Spinach dip. As far as presentation went it looked as though it had been sitting in the window or under a heat lamp for a bit before being brought out to us, but thankfully taste wise it was still good. Very creamy but on the chips that accompanied it were over salted. My mom's Famous Clam Chowder defintely did not live up to it's name. The broth was thin, hardly any clams, no added potatos or any other added items like you come to expect in a chowder and no flavor. Just a bland roux. Once Mom added salt and pepper it was pallateable. Finally our entrees arrived, my Blackened Grouper Sandwich looked pretty decent. The tomatoes that accompanied the sandwich were huge and red, however the tiny piece of lettuce was barely visible. Despite being blackened I didn't feel as though the seasoning was very flavorful. I felt as though it lacked salt. I will say the coated french fries were quite tasty along with their Key Lime Tartar Sauce. Because our Server was the Bartender I felt like we were an after thought for him. While the other server was offering additional items to her tables our server never even offered us dessert as an option. I am glad we tried it but I don't think we will return.
