We were looking for a dog friendly patio to take our new rescue dog to see how he would do in a public setting. We found this spot and called to confirm they were welcome. Upon arrival, they instantly asked us if we were the ones who had called and were very inviting. Once seated, Matt W. was our server and it was a great experience! Matt was very attentive to both the pups (clearly a dog person!). He checked on the pups more than us :) When the food came out we were very pleased. Fries were perfectly crispy and still piping hot, sandwiches were just beautiful with perfect tomato slices and green lettuce. Matt gave suggestions on everything and they were spot on. I spent 30 years in service so his service did level did not go unnoticed. Extremely pleasant and polite young man who is going places. We are looking forward to returning with the pups. One of my favorite seafood spots in the cloud. We live 15 mins from this place and do a fair share of coming back. The seafood taste fresh and if your there during the day, you can sit out by the dock and enjoy the view of east lake Toho. Boats at the dock and riding by and overall some good fresh air. The servers are always super nice and let you take your time while ordering and also seem to be very knowledgeable across the whole menu. This is a famous local institution built first by St Pets Beach (FL). Both restaurants serve primarily fried food/dishes. The fresh oysters are okay as they only give you a couple of choices; they're not worth the cost. We go primarily for their Clam Chowder which is always delicious and consistent. However, when we ordered for takeout ($7) they served it in two (1/8) containers which is odd. The server said that it equates to a cup. It's not the first place we go to for seafood but it's got the name and my dad LOVES it so we'll be returning, I'm sure. read more

Laid back seafood spot on the water. Really nice and casual atmosphere great for family dining or if you're coming with big parties. Service was good. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We ordered fried pickles, chips and dips hush puppies a fried fish and shrimp platter, shrimp and grits, macaroni and cheese and a Cajun chicken pasta. I also ordered a strawberry Mojito the consensus for all of us that ordered drinks was that it tasted like they put no alcohol in it. They were tasty and refreshing, but I couldn't taste a bit of alcohol. My fish and shrimps were pretty good. It was a nice solid piece of fish very flaky as a sharper good side with the batter was a bit too thick. I really wanted to like the shrimp and grits. Grits were done well and very beautifully seasoned but the sauce that that shrimp was swimming in was over powering. It was super oily and extremely salty. If they had toned down on the oil and the salt it would've been absolutely delicious because it wasn't under season just too much salt and grease floating on top. The sausage and shrimp inside of the sauce were perfectly cooked and delicious. The Cajun pasta was swimming and sauce again it was overly rich and a little too greasy. The ratio of pasta sauce was a bit off, but my son ate it all so I can't complain. All of the appetizers were pretty good. The fried pickles and the calamari were yummy. I really like the hot peppers in the calamari. The hush puppies were good as well. Will be back to give it another try. read more

Last night my husband and I went to crabby Bill's lakefront in St Cloud for a casual New Year's Eve dinner. It was surprisingly slow at 7:00 p.m. and for once we were able to get a good parking spot. My lemon drop Martini was delicious; my husband had a beer. I have been thinking about cold raw Briny oysters all afternoon and so we ordered a dozen. And everything came out I thought someone was pranking me... These were the skimpiest penis oysters I've ever seen, and I've seen plenty! There were about three that I actually thought were empty shells! When I pointed this out to our nice waitress Christine, she agreed and brought us three more oysters. My disappointment was complete when my husband and I agreed there were several that tasted not as fresh as they could be. Moving on...Hubby ordered the fish tacos and he thought they were very tasty. I ordered the shrimp alfredo, and compared to shrimp Alfredo's I've had in the past at other restaurants I would have to say it was mediocre. They alfredo sauce was very thick and creamy but it didn't have the garlic flavor that I was hoping for. The menu failed to specify that the red shrimp were pieces of shrimp and not whole shrimp, and once again found myself quite disappointed. The best thing about that entree was the garlic bread it came with. I ordered a piece of key lime pie to take home for dessert, and even that was slightly a let down as I've had it in the past and it is usually good but this time it had a slight grit to it. Overall I would have to say that the experience was not worth leaving my dog alone with the fireworks for 90 minutes. I'll end on a positive note and say that despite the disappointing food Christine provided top notch service. read more

Well, I've been back in FL for a few months and finally had the most Floridian dish ever which was Gator bites. Now let me tell you something about these gator bites, they were shockingly delicious. I barely wanted to share them with my friend Emily who brought me to this cute spot. This restaurant was located by the water with a lovely view of the lake and docked boats. We went in the evening for dinner and it was quite dark outside to really enjoy the view to its full potential but I'm sure during the day it's wonderful. We ordered the gator bites (duhh), steamed oysters, steak nachos, and hush puppies. It was so much food and we were completely full not even making it through all the nachos. We also ordered the Stone Crab Trap and Cruzan Pineapple Mojito cocktails which were good but I think they could have been stronger. The service was good and the place was slightly busy on a Sunday evening. I'd totally recommend this place if you're looking to try gators bites! :D read more

We were in the area, and the menu "sounded" good. Disappointed. I got the grouper tacos and didn't care for the blackened seasoning. Plus, they were extremely salty. The gator bites were chewy and no flavor. The fried peppers that came with them were very good. My husband got their Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was small, and for a Nashville hot, it was lacking pickles and Cole slaw which are signature items for that type of sandwich. Average experience for this St Cloud restaurant. We dined outside which was nice, but would have been better with a little daylight. When it gets dark at 6pm, what can you do? We were excited to try the baked garlic parmesan oysters. That excitement quickly faded when they arrived at the table. There were quite a bit of small oysters. At $15 for the dozen, it wasn't overpriced. But the cheese was hard and they weren't all bubbly goodness which I've had other places. Maybe that's how they do it here. My wife was going to try the calamari salad, but skipped due to the romaine outage. It was nice of the waitress to let us know they were subbing spring mix. Instead, she ordered buffalo royal red shrimp as an entree. These were pretty darn good. Crispy and flavorful. Good blue cheese dressing too. I had the baked haddock and shrimp combo. The shrimp were excellent as I think they were also royal red shrimp. The fish was a little overcooked. I never added tartar sauce to grilled/baked fish until I ate this. It was dry. The green beans were garlicky and yummy. The shrimp is basically why this isn't 2 stars. They were great. If you see royal red shrimp on a menu, try them. But even these shrimp couldn't elevate this too much higher. The service was Ok. Our plates for the oysters and the side salad didn't get cleared until the end of the meal. It would have been nice to have room on the table. We basically saw the waitress when food was delivered and we were done eating for a while. Our waitress was moving and appeared to be waiting on multiple tables outside, but in the main entrance there were about 8 employees standing around. Just made me think they could improve efficiency. Maybe there's an inside and outside wait staff. Who knows? They could definitely help each other. I've seen this at other restaurants where someone different is bringing food or clearing plates. It wasn't terrible but we probably won't be back. Maybe I missed the mark on what to order. Maybe they're known for their fried goodies or something. We drove by our second choice for dinner and there was a packed parking lot and it looked full inside. read more

This is a nice relaxing place by the water. The servers were friendly enough. The fried calamari was nicely breaded and crispy on the outside with a nice texture on the inside. The tomato sauce was fairly standard. The conch fritters were fairly similar to what I have eaten down in Key West with flavorful breading and nicely crisp. The dragon fruit cocktail was unusual and had a decent strength with the tequila. Shrimp and grits was down just right with very fresh shrimp (no peeling for me here) and a healthy level of heat. It was well balanced between the protein and grits. I also had the key lime pie which was a great finish to the meal. The only thing that detracted from our meal was the flies that were around the entire time and we were sitting inside. The servers apologized several times about it and let us know that they had called a service to come the next day to take care of the problem. Would love to come again soon. read more

We split the fish and chips between the two of us. It was fantastic. The breading was thin and crispy and the fish was light and flakey. The fries were also perfectly crispy and firm. Louis cooked the fish & chips. Bravo!! This may be an important fact, since we've been told by regulars that the fish is occasionally over battered, leading to that unpleasant "rock/slime" effect. We chose this establishment to try conch. They served them in very rich fritters in small pieces. We had to try the gator nuggets, which were tender served along with fried red and green pepper slices. Their corn crab special chowder was light and flavorful. The surf and turf was excellent. We especially enjoyed the bairdi crab that was grilled as suggested by our wonderful server. The sides are large. Our favorites were the coconut rice, cheese grits and tropical slaw. My favorite drink the Florida Sunset! The key lime pie was perfect! Tasted homemade. Being lakeside was a special experience. Review for Sunday, 3/30/25 at 3 pm. Hadn't been to Crabby's for a couple years and decided to go there for our 19th anniversary. From the start it was a mistake. First, after entering Crabby's, we waited at the front desk over 5 minutes before anyone even showed up to seat us. We were sat near the window overlooking the lake which was fine. The outside dining area was fairly busy while inside was not. After we were seated we sat for over ten minutes and no one came to the table at all! No drinks offered...NOTHING! A couple waitresses were inside but didn't come to our table. Finally we just walked out and went to another restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Won't be going back to Crabby's. read more

I love coming here. The seafood dishes are fresh and the adult beverages are good. The atmosphere is wonderful here. Inside has the sea decorations and of course the outside back area has tables and umbrella with a nice boating view. We love sitting outside when it's not so hot. My kids loves their burgers and the fried fish. We have had calamari, oysters, crabs, fish dip, mussels, clams, etc.... and All was delicious. I don't think you can go wrong with their menu. Since it's so close the water, the only thing was annoying mostly are the flys and mosquitos. Even when eating inside, the doors were open constantly so the flys are coming in and is always around your seafood plate. If you have children, there is also a big playground and splash area by the restaurant. The kids loves going there to run around after lunch. Can't wait to go back again in a few weeks. read more
