Our paid parking ticket was displayed on the dash, however officer chose to ignore it and gave us a ticket anyway. We tried to appeal the citation, it was denied! With that said, after numerous visits, shopping and eating on Main Street, we will not be returning to Seal Beach. We will not spend another dollar there. My money is now being spent in Anaheim, we decided to get premium annual passes to Disneyland! And in the future, should we decide to "go to the beach", there are dozens of other beaches to choose from here in California.

Lots of Vets live in Seal Beach, pretty much like Huntington Beach. They keep their beach clean too. volunteers come out to pic up trash during pic up trash events. It is still a young city with time to grow as the beach is passed on to generations after generations. But you do mostly have elders and Middle age people as the demographics that live here. Many young people that grow up in Seal Beach dream of moving next door to Huntington Beach. Huntington has a bigger younger crowd that live and hang out there. Young families as well. So, if you want the Veteren quiet, retired life, move to Seal Beach.

There is a concrete path for strolling or jogging around the marina. View is amazing from the grass. Boats, and wake boarders performing tricks and such. Across the street where the boat can dock on the beach is full of people beaching it on the sand. There are restrooms there. No dogs allowed. Not really meant for swimming and playing in the waters but we still see people do it. Call LBC Park and Recs to make sure this patch of areas are not reserved for any events too. No overnight parking. Located near the Rowing Association.

There's two path, one for cyclists, skaters while one for walkers. It's pretty wide so plenty of room. The path takes you along the waterfront, while it's great for checking out the homes along the hill. Beach, it's a pretty big stretch of sand with plenty of space for everyone. There's also a bar restaurant towards the end of the path which is great for a meal and cocktails. Loads of lifeguards stations along the path. There's the main area where the tower is with the parking lot right next to beach. It's a smaller stretch of beach but grassy area and parking is available. I'm not sure how long the path is but it's worth the stroll along the beach.

The water is so clean... well it was before the incident in There is a lifeguard in one area near the Portuguese Bend Nursery School (closed on 7/9/21). The tide pools that I really wanted to get to and allow my girls to explore were closed off due to falling rocks from the nearby cliffs. So much to love about this area... The hike down was both of my daughters' favorite part. Then seeing all the rocks and shells was their favorite. Then the few tide pools. Then the beach. Then the resident lizard. It never stopped with those two. Lol. One reviewer, B T. (from 8/6/20), stated that the sandy beach at Abalone Cove stands out above the rocky shoreline in the Rancho Palos Verdes area. Indeed this is true, but I think because of the hike down, the area does not seem to get too crowded - not a summer Friday morning headed into noon. The parking lot was nearly empty when we arrived at around 10AM and about 50% capacity when we left just before noon. My parking fee was $6.
