Let's start off with what I like most about this location compared to their Bellaire location (Ocean Crawfish) - CLEANLINESS!!!!! I always felt like Ocean Crawfish in Bellaire had potential but I could never get myself to get over the sewage smell on the outside of the building and overall stickiness and lack of cleanliness feeling on the inside. This Katy location tho is the exact opposite and they even have booth seating! Second stand out worth mentioning is pricing. They have A LOT of specials here. When we came, they have $12 dozen oysters, $4 margaritas, & $6.99 per lb crawfish. You cannot beat those prices and flavor wise, everything was pretty dang good! Cheese oysters - 4/5- I liked them but I could have done without the fish eggs on top. I usually don't mind fish eggs but don't love the pairing. Grilled scallion oysters - 5/5 - these were my fav and made just right. Add a dash of lemon juice and sriracha - CHEFS KISS!! Lemongrass & Kumquat Crawfish - 3.5/5 - I ordered two pounds just to try and it took awhile for the flavor to grow on me. At first I didn't feel it was spicy enough considering I ordered extra spicy but eventually I did taste a bit of heat. Peel of the crawfish could have been better, some were overcooked and stuck to the shell or mushy. Curly fries - 5/5 - can't really go wrong with fries unless they're just plain old mushy lol Strawberry Margarita - 5/5 - my boyfriend liked it but it was very strong. Considering it was only $4 - not a bad deal at all. All that food and the bill was under $100, that is a win in my book. Service was nice & attentive as well. I really enjoyed this place! We had two different types of oysters, we had the cheesy oysters, and the garlic oysters, curly fries and crawfish. The oysters were great I liked both of them! The fries were super crispy which I loved and came with both a side of ranch and ketchup, I liked having both options. I got the House Sauce flavor for the crawfish and it was perfect in my opinion. There was lots of garlic which I loved, onions, oranges, and maybe some other things but I can't remember exactly what else was in it. The flavor was great, it was kind of sweet. I did also have a strawberry margarita on the rocks which was super good! Be aware it was very strong 2 or 3 would have been my limit for sure! Staff were friendly and checked on us very frequently. Great place and very reasonably priced! It seems like a very new place so maybe it's why the place is so clean but hey, that's awesome! The wall painting is clearly painted with mural artist and I think that is so freaking neat! Service is great - everyone was fast, nice, and courteous. Food came out great, especially for the price. The only thing I'd say is maybe they should include pictures of what any of the items are because they weren't able to explain many items. But I'd definitely come back over and over again! read more

Oyster sashimi 5/5 My fave type of oysters. It's with Masago and seaweed salad and some soy. Cheese oysters 5/5 So creamy and so tasty. Comes out steaming hot. Bo lúc lắc 4/5 Portion is on the smaller side flavor is bold and on the sweet side. Service is pretty quick. The space is open and has lots of table. read more

I only knew about this spot because of TikTok. Upon being seated I noticed there was a name change, so I am assuming they're being ran by management. I was extremely disappointed because I saw nothing but good reviews prior to visiting. I got 3lbs of crawfish and was EXTREMELY disappointed to see my bowl was FILLED with onions. I wish I knew that's how it came, I defintely wouldn't have ordered. I am not a fan of onions, so I was completely turned off. I still gave it a try but I gave it a 4.5/10. It had so much potential but the flavor wasn't sticking. I probably wouldn't go back. I wish taken pictures, but I was busy hunkering down on the crawfish. Came here for dinner with a craving for crawfish that needed to be fulfilled. I ordered a few pounds of crawfish in the house sauce and a pound of the shrimp in the garlic butter sauce, along with a plate of shrimp fried rice. I enjoyed both sauces very much and the rice was classic. The service was a little slow and I had to ask for when the dishes would come out or to refill water, but the delicious food made up for it. Be warned that this place is ridiculously busy. We came one hour before closing and waited an entire hour for our food. The atmosphere is incredibly hectic, servers have no idea what items you still have left, and will punch in items that you later found out has been sold out already. Food is ok, not as salty as the Bellaire location, but not stellar either. Oyster sashimi is just raw oysters, and you can get much better oysters at other places. Snails are cooked a bit too long so they're dried out and tough. Hot pot was good but comes in only one small size so if you come with a big party you will get one exact portion. If I can give zero stars I would. Absolutely never ever going back. The manager was not helpful with our situation at all. I'll list all the things that made our experience terrible. Food was bad, no flavor and the seafood wasn't fresh. The scallops were small and covered in so much cheese. Oysters looked like they weren't fresh and would give me a stomach ache. The quail was uncooked. The fried rice was rotten and sour and when we told them they argued and said it's not rotten. They made us a new one but instead of good customer service and taking the rice off our bill. The manager said the 2nd dish was "free". Customer service was horrible. We were checking our receipt and he charged our card without us saying go ahead. And when we ask for a refund he didn't give it to us. I came to support their new location but left disappointed. Crawfish was $7.99 a pound at the time of my visit. They added fried garlic to the crawfish and it was bitter. Sweet snails with salted egg was a big mistake. the waiter asked if I might have lactose intolerant because the dish contained cream and cheese. I was thinking "what does that have to do with the salted egg" but he wasn't kidding. It was not salted egg sauce. It was a combination of melted cheese and mayo. Honestly, by no means does this place has the best tasting crawfish but it does have a variety of Vietnamese food that I do crave! Especially snails! Needs a little bit more sodium. Haha yeah. Tail meats a little bland. Snails - I've tried a couple of snail dishes here and for the most part it was was enjoyable! I prefer the ones cooked in coconut milk or the sautéed ones in lemongrass and garlic! Spicy, savory and just delish. Chicken feet - love these things! Especially deep fried and always ask for extra crispy! And a side of rice. The crispy buts goes well with it. Grilled shrimp - these were good. Nothing crazy. Overall, I would say crawfish is okay. Vietnamese food faired way better. But however, the service is nonexistent. I've been here like maybe 4-5 times already. Only one other time, I've had A+ service. First time coming here after a friend invited me to dinner. The oysters and crawfish was absolutely delicious. The house special crawfish was covered in garlic butter, thin orange slices, and onions with their signature spices. It was very well balanced with a little saltiness, sweetness, citrus, and spiciness giving it full of flavor. And the grilled oysters was no different! First time coming here after seeing someone post about their crawfish special being only $7.99/lb on WED and SUNDAYS! After seeing the reviews, I was a bit nervous but I was pleasantly surprised! They give you a complementary salad as an appetizer, which I thought was nice since it's not a common thing in SE asian restaurants. The salad is simple but ended up being a nice palate cleanser while also eating the crawfish. We got both the house special and the garlic butter. Between the two, I couldn't tell a huge difference between flavors, but the house special was a bit spicier and saltier. The flavor is definitely above average compared to other crawfish places, and I've been to a lot. The size of the crawfish was pretty small, some medium. I'm not surprised though since it's just January and not peak season. The day we came here was insane. It was completely packed. The a/c broke and the stoves were not working. Only a few items were allowed to be ordered. It was so bloody hot that the workers were even complaining. They ended up closing early and not taking anymore orders due to this incident. We stayed inside for 10 minutes and ending up just taking it to go because it was very uncomfortable inside. We waited 40 minutes for a table and there were also 15 more people behind us. I ordered a sprite and there was something in my sprite and overall experience was just horrendous. While presentation was good, the food was not fresh and on the dried. To me it felt it was just warmed up. The lobster which they told me was special was indeed special. Not fresh out of the tank but previously frozen. The clam and squid was the same old dried taste. The oysters was decent. The fried mushroom, fries and chicken fingers was as expected for what the kids wanted to eat. The only thing I would recommend would be the mango salad. Myself and a couple of guys from work decided to try this for lunch since it is open now. We ordered the Boudin appetizer and they brought us a pair of scissors from an office to cut it, sound kind of weird until we tried cutting it and realized it was still frozen on the inside and that's why they brought us the scissors. Order the combo plate, The food was pretty bland tasting, my fish was barely cooked, towards the end I saw some thing that looks like it tendon in a chicken to figure out it was a parasite worm. At that point I was done and just push my plate away. My buddy ordered the grilled fish plate which looked pretty good when it came out, except for the broccoli was not even cooked it was just raw off the stem. We went to pay and they told us the credit card machine wasn't working and asked if we had Zelle to pay them. To be clear, the food is absolutely delicious. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because of two poor experiences. While this may not be the experience for everyone, I am completely open to updating this review later on with future visits. I'll leave our personal experience at the very bottom as we want to highlight the food. Food It's a Vietnamese seafood house so we were fully ready to chow down on crawfish..10 lbs worth (half cajun, half house special). The house special flavor is super tasty...plenty of garlic, plenty of seasoning and not to the point where you have to take frequent sips of water. The crawfish was cooked to perfection. You can see see this when you pull the tail as it comes off easily and the texture isn't that of wet cardboard. We can't emphasize this crawfish enough! The cajun was tasty and is exactly what you expect. The side of sweet potato fries were also crispy and very tasty! Next picture is gỏi with snail and mango. This is a fairly traditional Vietnamese dish and you'll never see the same style at multiple restaurant because it has a fragile flavor profile. Too much or too little of anything will throw it off balance, but this dish was delicious! The vegetables were not soft and still held on to the crunch and acidic flavor well. The mango added the sweet contrast and snail added some chewy texture. Lastly, we ordered boudin links and these were also tasty. We were confident that these are homemade as you can't possible have this much quality in a link from grocery store. Environment The restaurant is brand new and everything reflect that. Definitely themed to be a crossover between bar and restaurant with multiple screens showing different games. The staff are friendly and even though it was busy, still made their best effort to attend to our needs. Very much appreciate of it! The first time I came here, I was told the kitchen was closed even though it was only 8:45 and they close at 10. There were plenty of people inside dining and the door was locked without any sign explaining they wee closed. After a few minutes someone came and explained to us and we subsequently left. We returned for early dinner service a few weeks later and fter service we were asked if we could either pay in cash or zelle because the payment system had been down all day. We would have preferred to know this at the beginning of service. Thoughts that come to mind are...What if we didn't have the means to pay. This simply could have been a simple communication fix and would not have affected our choice to dine that evening. For claiming the second location, you would think they have experience in handling day to day issues, but it is a new restaurant and we look forward to dining there again and hopefully things will smooth out. read more

Came here today because a friend of mine posted his visit and because of their grand opening specials (through 7/15/22). We got there before the dinner rush (~7:00 pm) and were seated immediately (party of 5). We ordered 6 lbs of crawfish (2bs each of the house classic, garlic/butter, and lemongrass/calamondin(?) flavors), an order of sea snails in coconut milk, apple snail grilles w/ black pepper, and Thailand hotpot. Crawfish came out first. They were good and flavorful, but the flavor was very close to one another. The lemongrass/calamondin flavor stood out but just at the end when there was a few crawfish left in a pool of sauce. This may have been our fault though because I think they use the same crawfish "boil base" and scoop the flavor you order into the bag and you're supposed to shake it up before you pour it into the bowl. It was good nonetheless and the crawfish were a good size (on average about large-sized). Sea snails in coconut milk were good. This is probably one of my preferred snail/sauce combinations so unless there was something really bad, I would probably rate this dish high automatically. This one was good; even my 6-year-old liked the sauce! My only complaint would be the portion size being that it's one of my favorites to eat. The apple snail grilles w/ black pepper ... these were okay, but the snails themselves aren't personally on my like list. They are big, but you have to know when you order that you don't eat everything that comes out of the shell, or you'll be in for a surprise. The "bottom" part of the snail is just that (lol); just be warned if you do eat that part, it's very gritty and a bit on the bitter end. The "top" part of the snail, when fresh (and this was) is "crunchy". The Thailand hotpot was pretty good. The presentation was great. A portable burner is brought out and a pot with soup in the middle and the meats and veggies outside surrounding the soup. When it boils, you push in the meats to cook and then the veggies shortly thereafter. This dish has fish, beef, shrimp, squid, and mussels for meats and mushrooms, shredded banana flower, water spinach, and king oyster mushrooms. The soup was tasty and well seasoned. TIP #1: Not sure if it's because they're still in their grand opening period and offering specials, but just a tip to avoid the dinnertime rush -- either call and make a reservation or come early. I actually tried to call but no one answered the phone / I think the phone number may be wrong. When we left there were probably 6-10 parties/groups waiting for tables. The maximum occupancy is 41 people so it's not a very large place at all. TIP #2: They do not have their beer/liquor license yet so if you're looking to drink, call to see if you can bring your own alcohol. TIP #3: It's VERY busy so be kind to the staff and you'll get kindness in return. read more

( order name: Trang : around 5pm) We were expecting the same crawfish freshness texture with the house special sauce that we were craving for...BUT NO!?? What is going on? The crawfish that we had today weren't fresh at all! The kids just ate a little and then refused to eat with us. Normally they would sit there and finish until there's only claws and onions left. Today crawfish, at least for our order, tasted like frozen one. I believe it's still crawfish season and why are our order taste like , Im sorry..but, it tastes like AYCE crawfish; chewy, bland. OK I went there for lunch today and they bring a plate of salad to your table, so we ordered fried crab legs and hot wings. The crab legs were old looking and we asked for all flats and were they don't have all flats, but how do you have chicken wings and don't have flats. When the food came, the wings were OK the crab legs were old and I asked him to take them away and bring me some wings instead one of the wings dropped on the floor and I told a young man and he said I apologize didn't replace it though. And as we were looking around, we noticed they had fixed other plates of salad and just sit them on the bar until someone comes and order them. The wings tasted OK but if you ever order seafood, make sure you look at it first so that they won't be giving you old food the ambience is nice it's just said I was disappointing with a Crabb Fingers looking like that and they just wanted to serve it to me so go judge for yourself and let me know.
