My wife and I tried this restaurant while passing through town on vacation. If you want to be treated with kindness and spoken to with upmost respect this is the place to go. Crab soup was SOUR, IMITATION crab cake full of filler. Crab pretzel cold lump of cream cheese with no flavor. After trying one bite of each dish and letting my date try it we just left that food. Waiters wandered off after I got my entree and I had to ask for my to-go box and check. That may be because they had two waiters. Perhaps each waiter thought that the other waiter was helping me. Drinks menu should have a mocktail, dealcoholized wine, or alcohol free beer. After all, most people drive here, and there is at least one non-drinker in every group: the driver. I mean, it's ... fine. Look. If you are going to drink, it's good. They have good drinks. But the food? Nah. The crab dip is fine, but nothing to write home about. I got the seafood platter. This is $38 on the menu. The fried haddock was cut thin and was dry. The crab cake was so mid, I didn't eat more than a bite of it. Crab! How do you mess up crab?! By seasoning it badly, that's how. The fried shrimp? You know those little flat fried shrimp you get on a cheap Chinese buffet that you know are frozen and more bread than shrimp? It's that. For $38. The rosé pasta was okay. Again, nothing to write home about. The shrimp in it was actually delicious! But the sauce ... fine. I guess. Great service. My son and I visited this restaurant while in town for a soccer tournament. He has some food allergies so I called ahead to see our options. The individual I spoke with confirmed he could eat the chicken tenders/fries and went as far as texting me a picture of the package so I could double check the ingredients! Above and beyond service. I sat at the bar. I had a couple Tito's and soda and then I ordered the crab soup & the house salad with a broiled crab cake. They brought a fried crab cake and I had ordered the broiled, so they apologized and they did exchange that for a broiled crab cake which took about 10 minutes but I was not in a hurry. The following afternoon I returned & had 2 Loose Cannon IPA's. I appreciated that they give you a frosted glass with your bottled beer. I ordered the Chesapeake burger with no bun and instead I added it to a side salad and they gave me a bowl for the side salad instead of a plate which was nice. That burger was delicious because it is topped with a crab dip and then a slice of cheddar with lump crab meat on top. I also had another bowl of the Maryland crab soup, which is very good. There is a private parking lot out front with plenty of parking. I would definitely eat there again because they have a very large menu with lots of choices. I would not hesitate eating a lunch or dinner here if I was staying in one of the local hotels. Be advised that there is a credit card surcharge so it is cheaper if you pay by cash. read more

This place was so good to us. There were 40+ of us in town for a soccer tournament. They gave us a separate room and took our orders by kid jersey for separate checks. I ordered the Maryland cream of crab soup which was just ok, a blackened chicken Ceasar which was AMAZING and huge! I think I loved the fact that the chicken was just as much as the romaine, I ate the whole thing. Needless to say I'll be back here, the salad and 15.00 drinks sold me. Stopped in for a drink. Had a Manhattan (neat - no Luxardo cherry here) and a Paloma. Both were good, however they were pricey ($14 each - not bad for the Manhattan). Bartender Kevin was beyond friendly and thanked us for coming in as soon as we sat down. We didn't order food, but everyone around us had good looking dishes. General atmosphere for a pub. Beautiful sunny day so I opted to sit on the patio. A little warm since they still had the patio window areas closed. Still nice to be outside. The server was very pleasant and attentive. Cream of crab soup was delicious. I had a side salad - that was not very impressive and there was a glaring bad spot on the sliced cucumber.
