    Waffel house food

The service was fast and the food was hot and delicious, I would recommend this waffelhouse to anyone in the mood for a classic American breakfast. *WARNING* don't sit by the dishwasher unless you want to be sprayed.

We were in MD for the weekend. Was looking for breakfast and said hey we haven't had the Waffle House in years. So decided to come to this one. The place was clean and the staff was nice. The food was also good. I had over easy eggs since I don't like the runny clear stuff on the sunny side up eggs. And some waffles. OMG! I have no idea what they put into their batter for the waffles. But it was good. I loved how it was thin and still crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It was really good. Definitely will come back again when we head down south. Oh, and the food came out pretty quick. Loved it.

My husband found out the one day a year Waffle House takes reservations is Valentine's Day, so we just had to come! We both got the hash brown bowl & waffle special (only $20 for two people!) with decaf coffee (had to get that full experience even though it was evening). He got his bacon & egg hash browns smothered, diced, peppered, and capped and thought they were delicious, and he described his pecan waffle as "magic." I'd call that a glowing review! I got my bacon & egg hash browns diced and added ketchup for a meal that was wonderfully satisfying, and my regular waffle was so fluffy and perfect. Our server was very nice and brought us adorable paper hats with s & s on them, and there were flower petals strewn about the restaurant for a hilariously kitschy vibe. The Waffle House Valentine's Day experience is definitely something to try!

At my coworkers' suggestions, we stopped into this WH, located in the heart of Harford County, MD. I must say that I was a little hesitant to go, what with all the bad press that this company has gotten recently. I was pleased to find that the staff was beyond friendly, so my guard quickly came down. My order was nothing unusual - two scrambled eggs, hash browns, raisin toast, coffee. Tasty enough. Most memorable was the service. The entire staff was nice. And they really took their work seriously.

Suggest they do chicken (fried) and waffles. They offer a grilled but I want the unhealthy version. Oh well! Fiesta Omlette Grits and toast it is. Not a fan of grits but I'll continue to try it..maybe acquire a taste for them. Nope..didn't really like them nor my meal much. I don't know why this place seems to be such a big hit down south. It's on every corner like Starbucks is in Seattle. Just not feeling the WH! It's generic breakfast food. No plans to return although the waitress was very sweet.

Disappointing breakfast at the Waffle House. Ordered a waffle which was very dense and under cooked. Also had the biscuits and gravy platter. The Biscuits were over buttered and the gravy was very salty. Overall, it's the ambiance you expect with a lot of hustle bustle on a Sunday morning. Our server was very attentive and it's the only reason I would consider trying this restaurant again. It's also a very affordable option. We were able to feed 3 adults and 2 kids for only $30 and tip.

Close your eyes and imagine an old school diner. I bet you can hear the crackling of bacon, sizzling of eggs, and the top dog in the kitchen yelling orders like a quarterback calling audibles. Now open your eyes and see your fantasy come to life minus the modern day update. This location is small and the waiting area gets packed with patrons vying for a table and taste of these waffles. It is very humid as the kitchen is in the middle of the restaurant and taking up a lot of real estate with it. Of special concern is the slick floor caused by the moisture from the high volume of orders. Slick enough that your young ones might fall if they dart around. Kids are unpredictable. The menu presented before me was concise and very affordable ($6 for waffle and bacon, see my photo). There's a secret menu of $5 meals. Secret because it was hidden among the handouts in the booth. Because I came on the weekend and the waitress didn't tell me about this, I'm going to assume these are week day specials as the menu didn't say. The waffles were good but left that wow factor behind. I've definitely had better but not for this price so who am I to complain? If you want a good, cheap breakfast, make this place your go to.

Perpetually unswept and sticky. Everything is buttered. But those waffles keep you coming back.

Tik Tok made me do it and I'm glad I did it!…read more My co-worker recently had been seeing some videos about the food at Newberry Cafe so of course we had to make a lunch time stop to see what everyone was talking about. Newberry reminds me of your hometown bakery where everyone gathers in the morning for their donuts and coffee before heading off to work. Very much like many of the shops in the Bel Air area. The employees are super nice at Newberry. Really taking their time to provide great customer service to each patron that strolls through the doors. Although it was lunch time we settled on breakfast sandwiches with homefries. And I of course had to grab a donut because it's a must, and a latte. The breakfast sandwich was just what you would want to start your day, a savory piece of meat and cheese on a soft bagel. But the star of the show was the homefries. Cooked and seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside and a soft texture on the inside. We both loved the potatoes. My glazed donut was divine, pillowy with just the right amount of glaze to not make the donut too sweet. The latte was a little to sweet for me, but I'm a little finicky with the sugar level in many caffeinated drinks. All the times I've ventured into Bel Air I never thought to stop at Newberry and I'm glad I finally did. I'll definitely be back to try more of their yummy donuts and breakfast sandwiches in the future.
