Quinn's is a Boise staple, going back probably 50 years or more. Two of our closest family friends met there, fell in love, and would return for dinner almost weekly for their entire marriage. In the past few decades, we have frequented Quinns before Boise State Basketball games, and other significant family outings. I've always appreciated that Quinns has a Lounge side and restaurant side. If you just want some Nachos, a beer and to shoot some pool, awesome! If you want to sit down for breakfast all day or dinner, no problem. Both are easy to do! It's definitely a throwback in there, but that's part of the charm. The service is always good, and some highlights include the Haddock Fish n Chips (not typically found much on the West Coast), their Corned Beef Scramble and the Burgers. The ambiance is what you'd expect from a 60 year restaurant and lounge, with hints of Irish Pub vibes. Overall, definitely a crowd pleaser from a bygone era, and one of our families favorite classic Boise spots. Recommended. read more

Today, Quinn's didn't demonstrate a satisfactory outcome. First, despite clearly telling the server my food/omelette request, it didn't come out as requested. Then, my toast did not come out with my order and the server didn't realize until I brought it to her attention. Service was great. The interior was like an old style 1980s bar vibe. Just stick to the basics when you order food here they do not make anything from scratch. It's basically instant potatoes gravy from a packet and free frozen chicken fried steak but their wings and hamburgers are not bad. Inside out: parking is a little limited off vista but this place has a very relaxed vibe! One side is more of a bar while the other is the restaurant. Service: super fun and friendly every time! My family goes here often to shoot pool, have a beer, and hangout with friends. Food: finger steaks were way better than ones my husband has had elsewhere and the fish and chips was the higher side of average but still good. Happy hour was cheap beer, can't complain about that! I was part of the Bridge Group asked to leave over a misunderstanding of one of our group's comment about Bud Light. The youngest in the group is 68 and the oldest is approaching 90. We all grew up in a world that wasn't so politically charged and we collectively don't even think in those terms. We were all seated outdoors and there might have been two other patrons outside at another table. When asked to be reasonable, the manager said, Get the Fuck out!! Wow! My brother and I just left Quinn's and the service was all but nonexistent. It took nearly 30 minutes before a server even visited our table. Once he took our order (two burgers and onion rings) it took another 45 minutes to receive our food. When it was served there was no silverware or napkins given nor offered. I had to get them from the bar. Our server never checked in on us and we had to get our own drinks directly from the bar. All in all it was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. Went to Quinn's this afternoon (6/29/23) with seven other members of the Boise Bridge Club after a tournament. We sat outside and planned to have drinks and a meal. Our waitress seemed pleasant at first, but then everything went wrong. The last person in our group took a fairly long time to order a beer, for whatever reason. The waitress became somewhat exasperated (fair enough) and said "Why don't I just bring you a Bud Light." The customer said, "I definitely don't want a Bud Light," meaning she doesn't like that beer, but the waitress took it as a political statement. She told the customer, a parent of a gay child, "If you want a beer, go inside and get it yourself from the bartender." So I tried to do the right thing by offering the bartender $5 (their happy hour beers are $2) for any beer they had and I would take it to the customer myself. Any ill feelings should have been resolved. Long story short, none of us were served and we were asked by the manager to leave. You simply can't run a customer service business this way. The eight of us will NEVER frequent Quinn's again, and we will each tell at least another eight people - as well as the 200+ members of the Boise Bridge Club - to never set foot inside the place. read more

For almost two years now, I have treid to order corned beef and cabbage through uber eats and Doordash. The item is listed on their menu, but has not appeared on the delivery menus. Calling the establishment, I continually get told it will (magically) appear after some random time...3:00, 4:15, after 5:00, etc. When calling the retaraunt back, I aleays get, "Gosh we don't know how that menu stuff works...can you come over and pick it up?" Been in Boise for 25 years and never been in this restaurant. For some reason I remember being told not to. Anyway finally went with a group of friends for Sunday morning brunch. Fully expected a large gathering as we are not the only people in Boise that like to go out for a Sunday breakfast, especially with a group of 6. It was crowded My patience was tested as when our order came nearly 90 minutes later. All of our breakfasts were cold. My bacon was burnt and I ordered sausage, which they promptly brought out to me but not fully cooked. Over easy eggs were hard and room temp. I did not eat my breakfast and had it taken away. They did comp me. Thank goodness for Greyhounds and mimosas. I looked around and I didn't see one empty plate and it wasn't because of portion size. I don't think they liked it! I will say it was a nice, large bar and if I come back it would be for Happy Hour and not in the restaurant. Maybe sample their lunch menu. I don't recommend their breakfast. Quinn's is a local watering hole on the bench surrounded by a ton of other businesses. They offer a great patio, billiards, pinball and video games. Their prices are extremely reasonable and they offer service with a smile. Barbara (Babs) is one of the kindest most genuine bartenders in Boise and has just been so great to everyone I've ever taken to Quinn's. I love and respect what she does as I know it isn't always easy to put that face on. Tina is great too and she is very helpful. I enjoy their food, even though it's pub fare. It's simple, affordable and just what you're looking for after a few cocktails. They seem a bit lax on COVID standards for patrons, but all employees wear PPE. It's always clean and the bathrooms are nice. I'm super surprised people have negged this place into 3 stars. It's a dive bar and a place to hang with activities to share. Don't expect Chandler's for $50 ya fuckin' twits. I do wish there was a better music solution. The BMI industry is literally eating itself alive. The dead silence kills the vibe sometimes. Whatever you do, don't put radio on. The commercials are a buzz kill and make me leave. Funk that junk. Food: 6/10 It is pub fare and respectable but not phenomenal. Drink: 7/10 Don't go here looking for craft cocktails. Their beer selection is limited but encompassing and their price are very fair. Atmosphere: 6/10 Place is very clean and bathrooms are as well. "Let the Champage splash." I'm a long time Quinn's customer. I was coming to Quinn's since the 80's when it was the place to go after the bars closed for steak and eggs. Those days are long gone, along with my youthful indiscretions. So now we come to Quinn's on Sunday for brunch and free sparkling wine mimosas. I came last week with a group of friends; the place wasn't very busy when we arrived at 10:00 but it was packed by the time we finished. We had great service, and although my Eggs Benedict were not the most exceptional I've ever had, they were still very good and the bubbly was delish. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, friendly place to have brunch, imbibe a few mimosas, and maybe spend a Sunday afternoon shooting some eight ball, this is the place to be. read more

I've been coming here for years and most of the time everything is spot on. There us the occasional staff that us not my favorite, but they don't seem to last long. Generally, you have to have a good attitude to work here. That's my experience, anyway. The food is good. Kinda spruced up home food. I love the breakfast options and they have some of the best corned beef hash in town. Perfect! Ok I will admit I hadn't been to this place in years but a birdie told me they had a good burger so I thought I would return. I ordered cheeseburger and it was a surprise about how good it was. fresh ingredients and a toasted bun....Yummy. The patty was more old school like you make at home. It was well seasoned and it was one of those burgers that just drip all over. The staff was friendly and fast. In 20+ years of living in Boise, I've never been here. We changed that on Saturday and the trip was ...ok. The place was older, comfortable, and heavy on US Marine Corps memorabilia. The food we chose was a mixed bag...not bad, but not good. The wings (requested plain, no sauce) were too spicy for me to eat PLAIN. They were pre- battered and likely just tossed into the fryer to heat up. I ate one and it was far too hot for me...and husband said that he'd eat the rest at home. The potato salad was good, tasted like leftover baked potatoes with dill pickles and mayo, but it was good. Fried mushrooms were tasty as were chicken strips. The service was good but disjointed as they were a bit understaffed for a Saturday, but our server was as sweet as could be! Drinks were good. We will be back and hope for the best. We just weren't in the mood for prime rib, but their special on Friday and Saturday night looked good. We will return. It's a nice neighborhood hangout and now I'm wondering why we never made it down to visit Quinn's before??? We'll be back but will look at other things on the menu! read more

I wish there was a zero star review. Aside from the dogs hit service the food sucks. I got a chicken sandwich and they served me a peice of chicken breast that was visibly raw even on the outside. I can understand sometimes restaurants make mistakes, but under no circumstances should a restaurant serve you something that can be identified as uncooked from the outside of the meat. I took my first bite and swallowed a tiny bit before I looked at it. Two days later i pooped my brains out. Went on a Sunday for lunch. The bar was busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff on hand. Our waitress was a delight, very attentive and sweet. My first salty dog was great but the next one tasted a bit soapy. Friend had finger steaks while I had BLTA. The only reason for the second cocktail was the 45 minute wait for our food ‍ when our food arrived, it was... underwhelming. House made finger steaks were surprisingly small and a bit greasy. I am a self proclaimed BLT snob. I understand precooking the bacon but at least throw it on the flat top when the fries go down. The lettuce was edgy at best. Having picked at part of my sandwich, our waitress asked if I wanted a to go box. When I declined, she asked why. I showed her the lettuce and told her they might consider warming the bacon. She looked like I had run over her puppy. I could tell this young lady was doing the best she could and I explained that poor food was NOT her fault. She had done a great job.
