Food was amazing and so was the service , very upbeat servers and staff , A lot of traditional Home Made Food , would 10/10 recommend .

Terrific breakfast and great service. We were traveling through and wanted a fun place to get breakfast on our way to an event. Eggmann checked all the boxes. The place is fun and the decor is interesting and eclectic. The food was really good. They start with what they call a scone- more a giant beignet fresh fried and covered in powdered sugar. I had the BST- bacon, spinach, and tomato. Huge portion of house smoked bacon with fresh tomato and spinach. Hubby had a biscuit and gravy- also a huge portion. All made in house and very tasty. This is special kind of place. These were some of the nicest humans in the restaurant business. Food is even better! They've won best Breakfast in town for years. I know why. The customer service and the food were fantastic. Desire was our waitress. Kind lady! She took great care of us. One more thing the Fry bread that you get to start with is a nice surprise. Delicious! Egg Mann and Earl is a quirky breakfast spot that I was lucky enough to try on my last trip to Boise. In all honesty, I think they may have been around when I lived in Boise but somehow I never made it by. I'm so glad that changed! They are serving up some seriously hearty and delicious breakfast bites in here! Also? The coffee isn't half bad either! For my entree, I got their huevos rancheros, which was saucy, flavorful, and came with ample slices of avocado. This is one of those places locals LOVE and outsiders like me discover thanks to YELP!!! If you have only one breakfast in Boise, ID this is the place to go!!! Wish they opened earlier and I think A LOT of people do to. I came two minutes after they opened and joined a pretty long long (that moved quickly and I was seated in minutes. Host asked if I had been here before (I had not) and told me I was in for a real treat! She wrote my name on a tiny white board and handed it to my server. Server did a great job getting to know me and went over the menu. Fun menu with lots of options. They make most everything from scratch and use fresh quality ingredients. I went with the Country Benedict and added bacon bits on top. Order was HUGE and I could only eat HALF. Server told me I could have asked for a "half order." While waiting for my order my server dropped by with a free hot "scone." I didn't think it was a scone (more like a Mexican "sopapillas" but it was hot and delicious and I polished it off! The only problem we have ever had is having to wait for a table (but that's on us for not getting on the list ahead of time.) I was explaining to my kids what Michelin Star is and how Idaho does not have any. My kids asked what about Egg Mann, and it dawned on me yes just because it's not official doesn't mean it's not great. So this is my unofficial declaration that Egg Mann is Michelin Bib Gourmand worthy. We love their free appetizer Beignet, and apparently you can order extra ones for $3 each. Their Hangover Hashbrown is amazing with crispy hashbrown mixed with cheese, and their Country Benedict is delicious and huge. Their amazing service and whimsical decorations keeps us coming back. read more

Egg Mann and Earl has been on my go to list for a hot minute. It's not the closest to where we live but we made the drive over. Waking in, I was pretty surprised at all the fun and funky decor. I didn't know what to expect but what I saw very unexpected. It was a pretty cool waiting area. All these different and fun things to look at. You couldn't be bored in that kind of waiting area. Too much stuff to play with. Our server greeted us at the hostess stand. She asked for our names which threw me off since there wasn't a wait. The dining area is just as crazy and fun as the waiting area. Random art work, signs and different dining sets. Chase, our server, guided us through the menu and grabbed our drinks. Coffee was on point today. For breakfast I ordered the Country Benedict. My daughter got the Huevos Racheros with a side of hashbrowns. While we were waiting for our food, we were given a complimentary scone. The scone came out hot! It was coated in cinnamon, sugar and powdered sugar. That baby was delicious! It could have used a dab of butter but without the butter it was still yummy. Shortly after we finished our scone, our food came! Holy cow, my Country Benedict was massive! My daughter's huevos rancheros looked delicious! The hashbrowns were a pretty golden brown. It all looked good! Digging into my meal, one word to describe it is dense. The biscuits was huge but very dense. And then you add a very thick country gravy on top which made it overwhelming thick. I might have enjoyed it if the gravy wasn't so thick. The sausage was savory. My eggs were cooked perfectly. But with all of our combined, it was just too much. Chase did a great job serving us today. She was very attentive and sweet. The restaurant itself is so fun and different. It's not your typical breakfast joint which makes it that much more neat. Overall, it wa a fun experience! I went with a group of regulars to enjoy a wonderful meal. The scone was delicious! The special of the day was Chicken Fried Chicken and Waffle. Egg Mann is a long way from my home but saw it out on a walk. Looked interesting and I had to try it. Not kidding, this place is a train load of WONDERFUL! The music, the art, soooo comfy. I got a Veggie Benny and a scone. The Benedict had an amazing fried mashed potato and the scone was SO SPECIAL so easy to eat. In town from California...Wanted to find a breakfast place for specialty foods. Wow. We couldn't have found a better place. From the time we walked in Oliver welcomed us with open arms and a sign that was put on our table. He guided us and he was spot on. They give you a scone first which is complimentary. Wow again. Its like having a very large apple biegnet from New Orleans. Just delicious. Hubby ordered the Walrus and I ordered the veggie Benedict and added salmon. I really wish we lived here. This small amazing restaurant would be our go to every time. So may choices.... The service is unmatched, food is freshly made and always delicious, and the decor and ambiance make me smile every time I'm there. The staff always make a special effort to make you feel welcomed and they know their menu inside and out, from house made sausage and hollandaise sauce to their specials that come around like fried chicken and waffles (pictured) and chicken fried steak. The first time I went there it was super yummy with homemade sausages and great omelets. The second time, I was curious about the general atmosphere change, but the food was okay...not great. The third and last time I ordered a biscuit with my mediocre eggs ( not homemade sausage available) and a biscuit which was not a biscuit, but a heavy, hard, greasy tasteless sort of cake block...what are they thinking?
