Excellent service and great breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Corinth this morning. Our waitress seemed stretched thin but was cordial and prompt. We were well pleased. My only point of dissatisfaction is that they no longer accept checks. I have written checks there for years but suddenly this virus has even stopped this. I can't emphasize this enough. This was the worst dine-in experience I have had in 30 years of dining. Native of this area but live in Middle TN area (Cracker Barrel central). Wanted to treat my mom to a decent Sunday BIRTHDAY dinner. Issues... limited available food (basics steak fries, Mac n cheese; fried apples, etc); over crowded set up; extremely long waits to check-in eat and pay; terrible taste of food; food even looked bad; manager yelled at employees. I watched 3 complaints at nearby tables due to poor service. These are ALL a first for me at this chain. I was embarrassed for taking my mom and tried to salvage the day by diverting the conversation. I did call manager after leaving bc I didn't want to ruin mom's day at the table AND the manager tried to make it right. Overall COMPLETELY AVOID this place right now based on food, service, and management. Cracker Barrel corporate... clean this up and change management or take your name off the building. read more

Service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy...yet we waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order, and another 20 minute to get drinks. Well over an hour after being seated we got our food, but no silverware. We asked 3 different servers for silverware and I finally went back and got it myself. Ugh, what a disappointment. I always go to Cracker Barrel on road trips, so when I found myself on highway 72, I was happy to see this location. It didn't last long, though. The service was appalling. My waitress wouldn't let me substitute a side item (I'm talking a hash brown casserole, not four strips of bacon or something) for eggs, even though every other Cracker Barrel I've ever been to has had no problem with this. She wouldn't even ask the manager if it was okay, just since she'd never had anyone ask before, it therefore couldn't be done (her words, not mine). Wow. So I ended up paying $5 more for the same food by ordering everything separately. I could even forgive that, but just...every time my waitress came to check on me (a total of one time after I got my food) she almost acted like I was overstaying my welcome. I was by myself, they weren't slammed, and I wasn't parking myself at the table for two hours. I was still eating and she was trying to get me to leave. It clearly seemed to be just because I wasn't a regular, because she was completely different with the table adjacent to me. She'd stop and talk to them and generally acted like she was glad they were there. My Mom wanted me to order one meatloaf with three sides for her. Should've been pretty simple. She asked me to do it for her because she had already been by the store to place the order and no one would help her. I tried to order online. It wouldn't let me. I tried the app. Again, it failed. I called and was on hold for 15 minutes. I called back and was told that I should try the app because it would be 20 minutes before someone could TAKE MY ORDER over the phone. I had tried every method of ordering, even her going by the store, so why would I wait again to order? Mind-bogglingly poor business. Maybe 6 tables in the restaurant with customers, Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the waitress. Waited 35 minutes for our food while our waitress chatted for 10 minutes at the table behind us showing pictures of her dog to the customers and exchanging names of whom they both might know in a nearby town. Flagged down a manager, Our food was immediately brought out by a different server, all the while our waitress continued to chit-chat right behind us. We ordered to go, and spent about 100$ and even though the staff was friendly the food was not good. I waited 35 minutes for my order even though i ordered it an hour in advance. They managed to forget parts of my order, even after reassuring me it was all there. Then when we got home food was either over cooked (steak and eggs) and some food was undercooked ( sausage) fries were soggy and it was all around a really bad experience. My husband and I had the worst experience at the Corinth Cracker Barrel that we have had at any other restaurant ever. We were there for an hour and I got only half of my meal and my husband never got anything. They never offered an apology or an explanation nor did they try to rectify our situation. Excellent experience with Meredith my server. Exceptionally polite and helpful, she was able to answer questions about the menu, kept my coffee warm, and water full - without interrupting and asking every five minutes if I needed something. She was attentive and noticed when things needed to be taken care of. An ideal mark of a great server in my opinion. Cracker Barrel is pretty consistent with their food in my experience, so it was no surprise that I got what I expected. The hostess was nice, another person on the wait staff that brought my food out was very polite and sweet, and the cashier was talkative and kind. It was the very familiar, friendly, country atmosphere that you expect with Cracker Barrel. I almost avoided this location today because of a couple of negative reviews I read here, but it looks like they have gotten the kinks worked out. Very happy I stopped in. read more

Was seated promptly by host, unfortunately that was the only service that was okay. Waitress forgot our drink order and could not be located for needs. The restaurant was not busy and there was plenty of staff, so the wait for assistance/food was questionable! Other tables were also having to go up to the kitchen to request napkins, straws, inquire about wait times for drinks/food. Left the waitress $10 and left after not receiving our food. Breakfast was just ok. For some strange reason, the biscuits are salty. Why?????? Also, skip the grits--watery and not cooked. I wonder if the cook has ever eaten decent grits. They should be thick and cooked long enough to be creamy, not gritty. A pressure cooker can speed it up and they microwave well, so there is no excuse not to have decent grits on hand. If they get too thick, add a little water or milk and they are good to go. read more

Worst Cracker Barrel experience I've ever had. :( I've only had wonderful service and food at other locations, but this was awful. We arrived at 9pm and didn't get our food until around 10pm. They said they didn't have biscuits left when we found out later they did. They ran out of several thing that came with our meal and didn't do anything about it. I'd steer clear of this restaurant, especially on nights of big events such as high school graduations which was the case with us tonight. To give them the benefit of the doubt, the waitresses did try and give us good service. Overall experience was not good though. :( read more

We stopped in for our evening meal. Everything seemed normal until our order came and we only got one side in place of the two, This mistake was acceptable as those things happen. Upon checkout I waited patiently and gave the hostess money for the bill, she counted out my change to me as she should but at the same time shorted a Dollar, I got the change and she kept the paper, in my ignorance I didn't check immediately, I tried to get this corrected but she was to busy for me to get her attention. Terrible Cracker Barrel. When the server needs to read the list of items they are out of before you order. Out of things like apples, maple syrup, shrimp and many more common items and it's Tuesday and they are out until Thursday. Tried it a second time. First time was ok ive had better but this experience was terrible. Our waiter Chance wasnt very friendly when he came to the table you could tell he was flustered he took our drink order then our food order. Brought us our drinks only got 2 straws had to go get another. Brought us our biscuits didng bring no plates or jelly. And it tooks them almost 30 minutes to get our food out to us might have even been longer. Husbands eggs were suppose to be cooked hard they werent. Stopped here on our return home. We were happy with the service and the food quality. I ordered a veggie plate (very hard to screw up) and BF ordered the fried catfish. He realized that he wrong item when they brought out only one piece of fish, and the staff was happy to correct his order, charging him in a less-expensive way. Go here almost every week. Only a few servers are good at what they do. Numerous, okay countless times, we've had to wait at least 10 minutes to get our drink order, and then another 10 just to get it refilled. Food is almost always good, but not when its get cold from having to wait so long for a refill of sweet tea. We go every Sunday, which should make us the easiest customers to please, since we always know what we want but idk. There's always confusion with seating apparently. But we have a couple of servers that if they're working, we ask for because we know they'll keep us happy. read more
