I absolutely love Cracker Barrel! It's the closest to home food that I can find...love their chicken and dumplings & biscuits!

Came here during the 2 for $19.99 promotion and got the Momma's pancake breakfast, and we split the onion bloom. The food was pretty good, although the service here seems to be consistently mediocre. The servers are nice enough, but we seem to only get a refill when we're asking for the check, and the kitchen wait times can be long. Ultimately decent for a breakfast craving, but even at dinnertime expect a leisurely outing. read more

My wife and I have dined here quite a few times and have never received great service. There seems to be heavy preference given to large parties. Our most recent outing saw us dining on a sparsely populated dining room for a Wednesday Night. Our server greeted us quickly but it took nearly 20 minutes for us to get our drink order of a water and sweet tea. We ordered off the 2 for $20 menu they're featuring at the moment. My Breakfast Burger was tasty but made incorrectly with the wrong cheese and missing its side when it first came out which I had to alert our server to, and my wife's order omitted the side when added to the 2 for $20 which seems really strange. Our shareable to split was Onion Petals, essentially just a Bloomin Onion knock off. These were tasty and cooked well and I quite liked the sauce. We did however ask for them ahead of our meal, which our server suggested and they in fact came out after our entrees arrived. To cap it all off, we received one drink refill after pleading multiple times for about 90 minutes and then when the check arrived we were charged for two drinks we never ordered. I alerted the server who had it corrected but again, it took quite some time for him to come back. Then, when we when to pay, because I had attempted to use THEIR APP, it wouldn't let me pay at the register, they had to wait for the system to reset. All-in-all for a mediocre meal and absolutely terrible service, we were stuck there for about 2 hours total. We'll be seriously considering other options in the area before we venture back here for a second chance. read more

Well, where do I begin? It was extremely busy. But the service was phenomenal. Our host, Collin, was amazing, and very calm under all the pressure. And I might mention very polite. Once we were seated, we were helped immediately by our server, Trinity, who is an A+ server. I give the atmosphere here an A+ as well. I have not been to a Cracker Barrel in YEARS. I was driving from Tampa to Sarasota while on vacation and spotted it along the freeway. The idea of chicken and dumplings appealed so I stopped. The dumplings are different from my grandmother's but was still a delicious meal. Could have used more chicken. Forgot how fun the store could be. It was a great break from my road trip. We truly enjoyed spending Father's Day with our daddy today at Cracker Barrel. Tammy was our waitress and she was sweet, entertaining and super helpful. Made our day! We tried their cinnamon rolls and fried pickles for the first time. So good! My sister had their new campfire beef. I had grandmas breakfast sampler. We enjoyed it. My son works at Cracker Barrel so the wife and I decided to give it a try. I've found it pretty hard to find biscuits and gravy on anyone's menu, let alone good ones. I was pleasantly surprised to see them on their menu and they didn't disappoint! I also indulged myself with some cinnamon rolls and those really satisfied the ol' sweet tooth. Service was great! The visit was made on a holiday weekend Sunday to be exact. We arrived around 12pm. Wait time was 20 minutes. I honestly so not think it was that long. We said towards the front towards the entrance because we were a party of six. Our server was Shannon, the one spelled on. Shannon was super pleasant. I don't know how that was even possible considering the dining room was jam-packed. We knew that she was super busy so we tried our best to have our order ready when she came to the table. We gave her out orders and she read it back to us for accuracy purposes. By the time our food arrived we were missing a few items but she made sure all of our orders were correct. At times we either changed or added something and she still was very patient and an attentive listener which was extremely hard considering there was so much activity going on at the time. Our meals were all good for the most part except the catfish. It was fried beautifully but had zero seasoning on it. I promise if you add some seasoning everybody would order it. It has been many many many years since the last time I was in this location for any reason. I was driving a couple people around who used to work here and wanted to stop in and see if the store had some items they were interested in. We didn't stop to eat in the restaurant, but I have always enjoyed the food from Cracker Barrel. I walked around the store a couple of times and was very tempted to buy a few items. I really like gnomes and they had some cool items available. There's always some fun stuff available in amongst the candy and sodas, but I opted not to get anything as it would be stuck sitting in the car in the Florida heat. While I was wandering around I had three or four employees greet me and offer to assist. I was actually surprised to see that they had a good selection of record albums available. Some of the prices aren't bad, but you do have to be real careful as these are all tourist traps. Always worth stopping in. read more

As POC we were a little "leery" about going to this location but, it ended up being ok. The staff was friendly even though a few seemed a little "forced", if you will. At first we saw one other party of 2 that were also POC so we felt a little be relaxed. Then all of a sudden about 3 other parties came in. We were good. The service was good and the food was decent but, not great. The grits had no flavor and seemed too "creamy". The sweet tea was not good at all. It tasted "spoiled". This Cracker Barrel has had the dining area remodeled. It brightens up the place but also makes the sounds louder. When it gets busy they is a constant buzz. Worst if the employees grab a broom and shovel because you get clanking, which is worst. Came a week ago and had the southern fried chicken, came back again yesterday. As just one example, I ordered blueberry pancakes with regular syrup, and she also brought blueberry syrup thinking I might like it--and I did! She kept my coffee hot and checked on us regularly. It is a long established chain that was founded by Dan Evins in 1969 with a single location located in Lebanon, Tennessee. It has since grown to hundreds of locations, well over 650 locations throughout 45 states. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store tries to capture the ambiance of an old General Store and in fact, to get to the restaurant part, you have to walk through a general store. I have to say that I prefer the general store part of the business to the restaurant part. The general store has some cool little odds and ends and is a nice respite from the road if you simply want to browse. As for the restaurant, it is not that it's terrible, it's just nothing special. You have to realize that Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is a national chain restaurant that is far more concerned with consistency across its locations than producing a wonderful culinary experience. Out of the meal options, I far prefer the breakfast items. The chicken fried steak with eggs is probably my go-to. Again, ultimately, there is nothing wrong with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. Obviously, they have been doing something right since they have been around for over fifty years and have so many locations in so many states. Maybe it is just because I can have a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store right by my house. I just like to try local food and the hidden gems in a particular area. But I do believe that I can find better cuisine prepared with more passion and skill from a local mom-and-pop place. read more

Such a shame to leave this review, as this winter I have eaten here or had take out at least 6-7 times. The problem came my last visit, I asked to speak to the manager (Claude) about the wait, and he took it upon himself to parade me and my wife around the restaurant watching him clear tables. He tried to intimidate and belittle us, having the other diners stare at us, all because I questioned there not be a table available. He is a big man, with questionable morals. After ten minutes he finally allowed us to sit down, at a table that had been clean all along. I reached out to corporate to report this abuse, and was told someone would call me. But here I sit three weeks later, with no call or concern. Until this situation is rectified and Claude is not allowed to do this to another customer I can only give one star. Be wary of how Cracker Barrel allows their managers to treat customers! read more
